It was lovely & peaceful, very clean, there were no staff constantly bothering us but had a number to call if any problems. The location is great, it makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually you're only a few minutes drive away from shops if you need anything. The facilities were very good.

In all honesty I really can't find anything to complain about or say that we didn't like. It was just what we needed for our mini honeymoon, I could sit in the hot tub while my husband was fishing and still spend time together as it was all so close together. It was a win win for us!

The pods are quite new and kept very clean.

The lake is carp only and I would have preferred a mixed course fishery. Because the lake is new it has been stocked with plenty of small fish. I caught fish all day every day. But I knew what I was going to catch and that didn’t change throughout the time we were there. Apparently there are larger fish in there but didn’t see any sign of them at my end of the lake. The fish were in perfect condition and looked very healthy. It is close to pubs and supermarkets so that’s very handy to keep stocked up.

Wow what an experience. We wanted a good relaxing fishing/hothub break and what we got exceeded our expectations. The glamping pod was well presented clean tidy warm nice comfy bed . The hot tub heats up nice stays warm for hours and is nice and relaxing after a long day fishing . Talking about fishing the lake is really well looked after all the fish we caught were in healthy condition and the amount we caught was our record breaking amounts . From Monday evening to Friday morning I caught a total of 1001 fish including 320 in 1 full day from little tiddler carps upto a couple of roughly 15 pounders. My missus even had her record breaking amount of 134 over the few days including 53 in one day . So overall a great success. The staff who worked there are friendly and helpful (tosh) made the effort to help out with me borrowing his net after my net pole snapped and also emptying the hothub water and cleaning and filling it back up when needed . The owner and his daughter even popped over for a chat and made us feel really welcome . Will definitely recommend and will be returning at some point soon . Thank you for a great experience. Going home

I don’t often leave reviews for places, but we were so impressed with our stay I have to! The site is quiet and peaceful surrounded by fields and country walk paths but also 5 minutes from shops and restaurants. Our pod was perfect, we felt like the owners must have excellent taste as they’d thought of everything u could want in the pod! Pretty fairy lights, nice modern set up inside, the hot tub was lovely with a fire which heated it up. There was a kind staff member who set up our hot tub as soon as we pulled up to our pod and gave us some tips for the fire. The staff couldn’t do enough for you, any questions we gave them a call and they were very helpful. Fishing was good we caught one during our 1 night stay, I wouldn’t choose here purely to fish it was more of an added bonus for us! Overall it was such a nice stay and we’ll definitely be back again.

The only fault we had was that you couldn’t really comfortably watch TV in the pod. It’s a small smart TV which would be fine if it was in front of the bed, but it’s in front of a small sofa which we couldn’t sit comfortably on at all. We ended up moving the dining table and sofa around a bit so we could see some of the screen from the bed.

Everything! A lovely member of staff welcomed us as we arrived at the cabin. He showed us how the hot tub worked, were the hose to cool the water down was if it got to hot and how to use the QR code to purchase more wood (we did not need to do this, the wood set us was enough for our two night stay). The location was ideal with easy routes to a local pub which provided a nice meal and afew shops for the essentials. The cabin itself was roomy, clean, cozy and all round lovely. The log fire was a nice touch also and ideal for a winter stay which we plan to book for the ebd of this year. The log burning hot tub was PERFECT! Really deep so you can truly relax back and watch the sunset then the stars which we did. The sound of the water feature on the lake was an added bonus and so relaxing to hear during our stay. The bed was very comfortable though the mattress was soft we had a pleasent sleep and woke feel refreshed and ready for the day. We are looking forward to our next stay here 🙂

We have stayed in many places and have always come across something we did not like. This however cannot be said for here. It truly was faultless and simply a pleasure all around.

Very comfy, clean pod. Had an excellent sleep on both nights. Hot tub was very nice. Good location - easy to find. Very helpful & friendly staff.

It is not clear that the hot tub was effectively single use and that extra wood is available at a cost. To be fair, I was given extra wood after I had read all the small print on the owners' website that enough wood should be provided for a hot tub on each night of the stay. The pod faced a main road (but just far enough back for the road noise to be distant). Growing some large firs to block the view/reduce noise would be a good idea. A couple of extra touches would have made the stay more memorable, even things like a small welcome pack with some milk. These items wouldn't stop us from returning - but more likely to recommend with a few extra touches.

It was so peaceful. Staff were amazing, especially head chef Don, and grounds keeper (Tosh - sorry hubby is really bad with names). Both were extremely helpful and so polite and really helped with our fishing experience.

Just 2 super minor issues, I wish the webs were cleaned out but as this was a pod I guess it’s expected. As the temperature was super hot during our stay the pod was a little uncomfortably hot. But these issues were more to do with environment.

I absolutely loved the extras I asked the staff to do which was a lovely touch, the hot tub was amazing and the place was so amazing. Could not have asked for a better place to spend our 10 year anniversary 🥰

Nothing really, just would have liked the hot tub to have been ready for when we got there but again nothing that was a issue.

The setting was lovely looking over the lake. Pods were good, were very hot but that can’t be helped. Everywhere was exceptionally clean.

The hot tub did not get hot enough for us to use. The main house house had a party, so there were people playing music, singing and screaming until 3:30am outside, which kept us awake until then which was incredibly frustrating considering what we had paid for one night.

The property was absolutely lovely very clean and quiet- the groundsmen were so lovely and helpful with anything we needed only shame was the weather as it was raining :(

The only down side was the location as we were looking for a nice place to go for dinner however when going into the city centre everything was closed :( but that can’t be helped - other than that everything was lovely!
