We had a really lovely stay at The Gallery Lodges in August. We were pleasantly surprised by the facilities…it was great to have supplies such as salt and pepper, oil, foil and tea towels available. The bed was really big and comfortable, shower was brilliant, TV and Wi-Fi worked really well. No complaints at all, we had everything we needed for a short break. Pete the owner came to say hello on our first day and gave us some great tips on walks in the local area, and it was great to put a face to a name and know he was available on site if needed. There’s plenty to do in the local area, and many things we didn’t get round to so we will definitely be back!

It was one of the most beautiful vacations, the place was more than I expected, elegant decor, more than beautiful furniture, cleanliness 10 out of 10 and the most beautiful thing about this is that all the supplies you need are provided, a quiet place and a fantastic view from the outdoor seating area, and the workers’ treatment is more than wonderful, if you are looking for a place to spend a vacation and relax, you will not find a place more beautiful than this, believe me I spent the most beautiful week this year..

The location was beautiful and restful It was close to Braunton town and easy to access the nearby Saunton Sands and not far from Woolacombe The Gallery Lodge we stayed in was outstanding So modern and immaculate Everything you could need was there and the furnishings were amazing The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were beautifully designed The paintings adorning the walls were the work of the host Pete Caswell and were incredible We will return to the lodges as soon as we can

Nothing could have been better but it would be nice if there could be a mirror near an electric power point for hair dryer

Great location for us playing a few golf clubs in the area. Everything you needed to self cater and even put milk in the fridge and a few essentials like tea/coffee but had brought our own. Small dishwasher and some great art on the walls gave it life and a theme if ski lodge. Parking outside the place and very quiet and peaceful. Didn't use a lot of the amenities but they've thought of lots like BBQ. Bike shed. Sun shone and a drink on the patio area which had table and chairs was very pleasant. Lounge area very comfortable to sit and relax. 15 walk into Broughton with good selection of places for breakfast and evening meals.

The bed was two singles to make very large double which was great but was too hard for me, which is a personal thing but a topper would have helped. The shower was a great set up but no real strength to the output but always plenty of hot water. A few cobwebs about which you get in the country have the same at home and I can remove and back within hours.

Great property, super quiet, lovely comfy clean bed and facilities throughout were exceptional. Owners non intrusive but considerate and available if required. We love the fact that no kids or pets are permitted as it assured us of the peace we were looking for…

Small gripe… would have preferred a firmer sofa… just our preference as we think it’s a bed settee for third guest if applicable.

The Lodge was light, bright and airy and adorned with the owner’s vibrant paintings. There are good sized rooms, an excellent en suite shower room and a very comfortable king sized bed. It is peacefully situated and we heard owls at night. Parking is immediately in front of each lodge.

No easy walking from the lodge but plenty of lovely walks within a short drive.

We had a really great stay in this lovely Lodge. Peter met us on arrival and took time to show us how everything worked and also to let us know about the local area, including the best way to walk to the beach and the shops. This local knowledge made a massive difference to our stay and was greatly appreciated.

Our Lodge was excellent. Superbly fitted out and Pete and Juiie have thought of everything you might need for your stay. The milk and biscuits they left us were a wonderful greeting after a long journey. The Lodges are all private and located close to the village. Peaceful and quiet,absolutely wonderful.

Peaceful and secluded location, but within walking distance to local shops, beach and Braunton Burrows. Pete was welcoming and friendly and gave some great suggestions for local places to visit. There was a well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathroom, lovely finishing touches throughout, with a comfortable sofa and bed and outside seating on the sun drenched decking. I have already booked my second stay.

I didn't like leaving, it was perfect.

I really wanted somewhere quiet to stay, to recuperate from chemo, but also have the opportunity to see new places. The lodge was perfect: very clean and fresh; all the facilities we needed; comfortable and quiet; bright and welcoming. I feel refreshed. I highly recommend. Would also recommend a visit to Ilfracomb to see the Verity Statue.
