The Meadow Luxury 2 bedroom Lodge (257) was perfect. Super clean, modern with classy furnishings. It had everything you needed. ( In the kitchen - washing up products, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, salt/pepper, milk, coffee, tea bags.) Our view was beautiful, overlooking the river. We had a super hot tub which was functioning the whole time. It was quiet and so peaceful. The scenery and walk around the resort was fantastic. The staff were all fabulous! We had a look at the fitness centre and indoor pool which looked really good. We took our own food/drink as we wanted to enjoy the lodge fully for our 3 night stay. I highly, highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived we knew we had found something special. The staff were amazing and kindly gave my daughter a present as it was her birthday the next day, which made her day. The grounds are beautiful and the Hub is fantastic. All this and we haven't even made it to our lodge yet. The lodges themselves are breathtaking! The grounds they are set in make if feel like you are in a Swedish village made up of two story wooden lodges. The interior of the lodges are outstanding, beautiful furniture and appliances. And the hot tub is such a special treat,.especially for my two girls. We couldn't have asked for a more, easy, relaxing time away We definitely didn't want to leave and will 100% be back.

I don’t normally leave reviews but felt compelled today whilst I sit in the breakfast room looking out to such an amazing view. This place is amazing, the views and surrounding grounds are stunning, everything has been maintained to a high level and definitely management and staff have an eye for detail. Pool was great, Sauna is cosy but it was hot and did the job! The room had everything I could ask for (although my room had the desk in a little niche in the walkway of the room facing the wall which was a shame as I needed to spend quite some time at that desk working).

In the main the food was very nice, breakfast and dinner. Only comment which I hope gets back to the kitchen is the sausages for breakfast are below par, like what you’d buy in a 20 pack for a £1 at Iceland.

When we got to the hotel the staff who greeted us were very friendly and welcoming. We had an upgrade on our original room and it was exceptional - it featured a sauna and a shower/steam room and was the perfect end to our week spent travelling in Devon and Cornwall. We had drinks in the cellar bar and again the staff were very nice. We strolled around the grounds of the hotel and enjoyed a game of croquet and pickleball the following morning. The deer hide is a lovely touch, just to disconnect and sit in the woods for a while. Would highly recommend a stay in this hotel and we are hoping to return when we are back in that part of the world.

no option for a brighter light in room, no netflix, some additional costs ie for water at the dinner table, only 2 half slices of foccacia bread for starter - we asked for more and it was provided but 1 half slice each was quite surprising, same for toast at breakfast - 2 half slices for 2 of us - ie 1 half each. We asked for more and it was provided. No bread provided with soup starter so had to order another starter. That also is surprising. Normally a roll is provided when ordering soup

Lodge was a good size and beds were really comfy. It had all the utensils and crockery you would need and provided a large american style fridge freezer which did cold water and ice. Hot tub was cleaned regularly and always ready to use.

Not much to do for toddlers (2 year olds) on the resort or in the local area other than walks. The food in the restaurant was overpriced and children's meal dessert was served in a large glass dish which isn't ideal for his age. Resort offered a food delivery service but was asked to collect after ordering - again overpriced and food wasnt that great.

Spacious room! Lovely room and view! Great food. Great location. It’s just the country lanes, because it’s in the middle of nowhere where! We nearly got stuck in a county lane because it was all flooded. Very difficult to get to and from the hotel.

I was disappointed that the pool stated it was “indoor HEATED” when in fact it was cold. It felt SLIGHTY warm ish in certain areas. But I shouldn’t be advertised as heated because it wasn’t. Disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working. I was looking forward to that. A rob would have been nice to have in the rooms to go down to the spa with, that would of made it a nice touch.

The room was lovley and spacious and clean! The grounds are beautifully kept and made for a nice walk around outside. The food was brilliant and the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble. A great range of activitys avaliable and nice to be able to use the leisure facilities. We went just to relax and have a swim and time out so we were not very adventurous but that didn't matter its a beautiful place and the friendliness of all the staff we interacted with from the reception to the celler bar and restaurant really made it a lovley little break.

The changing rooms of the leisure facilities could to with a bit of attention/care compared to the rest of the resort it's a bit lacking, not many locker keys to enable use of the lockers (told people take them away with them so there are only a few left to use) and dirty towels hadn't been emptied for a long time so all left everywhere...... but this is obviously very minor and didn't ruin our experience this is just being picky!

beautiful grounds very quiet and peaceful. nice size pool and comfy room.

i went for one night and used the inside pool on the first day and again in the morning. the pool is nice and heated the only problem would be the changing rooms hadn’t been cleaned from the night before as there was the same amount of hair on the floor from the previous day as well as the same pink hairband. the sauna also had red spots (blood?) on the floor and bench which again was there two days in a row. food wise it’s bougie and overpriced! it would be nice to see some “normal” dishes on the menu i.e spaghetti bolognaise, cottage pie, etc. i don’t really think the hotel knows who to cater for as they have a lot of activities for children but the menu doesn’t reflect that! rooms and hotel could use a little tlc to maintain cobwebs, dead bugs and dust.

Fantastic place to stay if you have kids! Well priced and so much to do. Loved the games room and variety of bigger games (pool/ table tennis/ air hockey) and Christmas puzzle section. Accommodation was fabulously comfortable and warm - excellent facilities! Really nice to have heated towel rails to get things dry. Kids loved range of free activities on offer- tennis/ access to footballs, pool… Loved being able to go to Manor House for a drink at happy hour :) Jacuzzi was a fantastic bonus! Great daily communication on text of what was on offer that day. Friendly staff

There was no where to walk dog off lead which is difficult with a spaniel. The enclosed area was too small and very muddy! Bathroom had quite a few cobwebs Swimming pool/ changing room needs doing up but we liked sauna and steam room Food at Manor House and paid activities way out of our price range so didn’t do any of it and self catered. Christmas area was still open despite it being new year which was lovely- asked about a Christmas film but was told, they had finished. Just a suggestion ….a New Year’s Day film?! All little improvements- overall our stay was fab and we are very grateful- thanks! 😊❤️
