Nicely prepared cooked breakfast made to order using good quality local produce .Cereal and friit juice aswell as toast and tea/coffee as required .

The house is set in a lovely calm, peaceful rural area surrounded by fields and countryside with parking near a duck and chicken enclosure. Alan is helpful and welcoming and the rooms are fresh, clean and warm. The breakfast is served as and how you've requested the previous evening nicely prepared local produce. Theres nothing to not like, good value for money.

The location was so scenic great escape from the city, room was perfect -comfortable and clean. The host, Alan was very attentive and welcoming, along with fresh exceptional breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay would recommend!!

Nothing against the stay at all-just note you’d have to be very confident in driving country roads, we made sure to make our way back before the sun set because the roads were quite tricky.

Lovely and welcoming host. Room was spotless clean and comfortable with everything required for a relaxing nights stay. Location was great for a peaceful nights rest. Breakfast was great and plentiful with a good conversation thrown in.

You need to ne mindful this property is a little way away from shops/restaurants, I forgot about this and had to go into town to get food which was an oversight on my part and not in anyway an issue with the property.

Alan a lovely chap, ex farmer, doing an amazing job with his little B&B. Breakfast was freshly cooked on the spot any alterations you've got. We arrived early evening you recommended a pub for a meal which was lovely.. A very large bedroom with a very large ensuite.. Suddenly reasonably priced and a very peaceful area. Parking for the car. Also a great place to catch the sunset.

The Chancery House is located in a beautiful area of hills, meadows and pastures of Devon. The house itself is a typical charming English house, comfortably furnished and nicely decorated. It's very neat and clean, the rooms are cosy, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious and very clean. There is an electric kettle in your room as well as some tea, coffee, sugar and milk so you can drink tea/coffee whenever you want. The Owner of the house is a very warm, hospitable and kind man, we felt very welcomed in His house. He prepared absolutely delicious, English breakfasts for us at the times we needed. We were delighted to spend a few days at His place and we would definitely go there again. If you are looking for a place in that area - you should check Chancery House!

My stay at Chancery House was more than I could have wished for. Alan was brilliant and checked what was required at breakfast. It was perfect! He was an excellent host, being both supportive and caring, looking to give the best service. I can't fault my stay and would definitely like to return.

Been staying at Chancery now for some years now Enjoy the location on the edge of Exmoor rather than in a town or city. Alan is a great host, breakfast is excellent, room is comfortable and based on this last stay, I would highly recommend.

As it suited me I can't say there was anything I disliked.

There was a choice for breakfast, cereal and a cooked breakfast. The service was friendly. The bedroom was clean.

I'd have preferred a pot of tea rather than a mug even though a top up was offered. I'd have preferred a non memory foam mattress. Having said that, I think it was very good value for the price.

Unfortunately the area was hit by a massive power cut for the duration of my stay. My hosts could not have been more hospitable despite this. I was given a torch and an extra blanket. The room was adequate fir my needs and extremely well kept and clean. Bathroom facilities excellent. On the morning I was cooked an excellent breakfast. Definitely stay again.

The property is cute. We all had a peaceful stay. All the linens were clean and fresh (we actually brought our own beddings but ended up using the property’s beddings). It felt like a home away from home after a long day out with the children. The children made a little mess but Alan, the host was so kind and understanding about it. The breakfast was so good!
