Everything, the location, the rooms, facilities and spacious in the bar and restaurant. Very clean, neat and tidy it’s just our favourite place to stay and this special time for our 49th Anniversary so perfect.The peace and quiet to sleep, the staff lovely and always cheerful it’s a very busy place lots of visitors even just for pub grub and a drink! ( think that says it all for this wonderful venue)

Location was great, food was excellent, with no stinting on portion sizes. Horses trotting past on road below bedroom an unexpected yet pleasant bonus. Staff were all friendly, cheerful and efficient. Broadband and WiFi was good and easy to sign in.

Shower was a tad weedy but we were at the top of the hotel. Choice of TV channels was surprisingly limited.

This is a beautiful place in a great location. My son and I enjoyed sitting in the sun, next to the river, drinking lager after a hard day's riding at the Dave Thorpe Honda Off-road Centre. The staff and other guests were really friendly, the food was excellent and the rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean.

The cost of drinks would probably stop me from visiting again.

From the moment we arrived all staff were very friendly & helpful, we had a good size room with plenty of space & the location was great for what we wanted to see & do in the area. We ate in the restaurant the first night & the bar on our 2nd night & throughly enjoy both.

The breakfasts were AMAZING! The staff are all so friendly and just lovely. The food in the bar/restaurant was really good. We had such a great experience that I'd recommend this hotel to everyone that wanted a good base for North Devon and Exmoor National Park.

The beds were a bit hard for us, however you can't please everyone's personal mattress taste!

my only comment here would be the appearance of the hotel was a little dated and some creative make over would have a big effect on the ambiance

The breakfast was excellent, staff super friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the room was excellent and our pet was most welcome too. The location really good for touring Exmoor. A great place to stay

My partner is in a wheelchair and the room we had was perfect for us we had a patio and small garden overlooking the river PERFECT 👌

Great staff, food and location for hiking.

No water pressure in the shower, although pressure in the faucet worked well. Owner must have put a plug into the pipe to save water, resulting in a 15 minute hair wash. It was heavily raining and water is definitely NOT a rare source. Even walls were wet and lots of very unhealthy mold visible in our ‚superior‘ room.

Breakfast was Superb with all anyone could expect. Staff were approachable and friendly. The Inn had a great ambiance and the meal menu good and well cooked and presented

There was nothing to dislike.
