Porlock Weir is a hidden gem in North Somerset, we found it by accident and decided we had to stay there on our next holiday. The hotel is full of character, perhaps slightly dated but to honest I like that. I stay in many modern faceless hotels and this makes a refreshing change. The staff are genuinely friendly and really helpful, the beds very comfortable and food delicious. There's a pub next door, an Oyster bar and little shops abound with a little coffee house. The view from the hotel is stunning looking out on a small estuary.

Our first room choice was described as 'a small double' and it certainly was, not the Hotel's fault but we booked very late. The next day we asked if there was anything else available and were quickly shown a beautiful room looking out over the beach and sea. perfect!

Staying at Porlock Pier was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. The hotel's serene location, with breathtaking views of the coastline, set the tone for a perfect getaway. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and elegantly decorated with a blend of modern amenities and charming coastal touches. The restaurant served delectable dishes from fresh, local ingredients. Every meal was a culinary delight. Breakfasts were hearty, setting us up perfectly for exploring the picturesque surroundings. The hotel's facilities were top-notch. The staff were always on hand, offering excellent service and making sure every need was met. Porlock Pier truly exceeded our expectations. It's the perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with an unbeatable location and fantastic service. We can't wait to return and experience it again!

The Hotel is in a beautiful location opposite the harbour at Porlock Weir with lovely sea views. The team at reception were really helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable with nice views. The shower was great and the WiFi worked well. Dinner and Breakfast in the restaurant were excellent with views of the sea. Parking opposite the Hotel in the public carpark was also easy with the cost covered in our room rate. The guest larder room was a really nice touch. So all pretty good!!

Struggling to find any fault with the hotel. We would certainly stay again next time we are in the area.

Location and the fact it was dog friendly and adult only Quiet and very quiet rear garden Clean hotel. Breakfast was good with nice choices

That my birthday was forgotten until I mentioned it to an off duty staff member the following day in conversation. The hotel was booked to celebrate my 60th and my partner's upcoming 60th😪 They advised me to feed back which I did and a belated bottle of prosecco and two glasses appeared in the bedroom., it had lost meaning by then. It was mentioned on booking and checking in so I was very disappointed. Restaurant food quite pleasant albeit Might be advisable to say the baked fish comes on the bone complete with head and tail

A gem of a hotel with a great team that understand the value of good service. Breakfast was pukka with well cooked local produce...restaurant menu adequate and food spot on. Situated in the perfect location to get away from it all if one desires. I am in no doubts we will be re-visiting again in the not so distant future.

We thought the parking may have been an issue but it all worked out fine. So no all good thank you.

From arriving to departing it was a 5 star experience for us both. We feel well rested as the beds so comfortable and it’s a king size. The food is exceptional, they have a varied menu and even a wood fired pizza, which is delicious. Also theres a great lounge with an amazing view of the harbour, so for us, not having a harbour view room, was not a problem, we just made use of the lovely warm comfortable lounge. There is also a residents pantry, where a large fridge can store your fresh milk for coffee or wine or cheese. The pantry also has fresh fruits and extra tea coffee sugar and every afternoon, they’re a small cake samples to nibble on. A real treat.

Having to leave. This is possibly my favourite hotel by the sea and i have stayed in quite a few. Theres no boat trips early on in the year as the boats are all stored away. Would love a boat trip.

Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely, very comfortable and clean only problem was the bathroom window overlooking 'The Ship' outdoor eating area. Still, just drew the blind. We loved the location, overlooking Porlock Marina and beach, really right in the middle of things.

The food in the restaurant was okay but expensive and limited menu. Staff serving breakfast could have done with a bit more training. (?)

Evening meal was excellent - had a lovely dinner. Location is brilliant overlooking the harbour and the sea, sitting on the outside table with a drink was a great way to relax. Hotel is well located for walking along the coast or on Exmoor, swimming in the sea, or paddleboarding/kayaking

Breakfast is very tasty and the food was very good, however everything is waiter service (there are no help yourself items) so it takes a long time
