The location of the hotel was excellent for me, across the road from the beach. My room was VERY large and the bed extremely comfortable. While the bathroom wasn't 5 star it was very clean and functional. The food I had , bar snack, was very good and breakfast next morning was also very good. There were tea & coffee facilities in the room . All of the staff that I interacted with were charming and helpful. I loved the fact that dogs were welcome and I really enjoyed seeing a few in the bar area ,however if you think dogs shouldn't be guests in a hotel then this establishment isn't for you.

The Shower/ bath arrangement was a little difficult to operate , it was stiff, and there was a small crack in the bathroom sink.

Staff are absolutely amazing - go over and above to make you feel welcome and they couldn’t do enough for you. Very clean everywhere. Lovely room and bathroom. Fantastic position and had a sea view. Would highly recommend a stay here. Very reasonably priced and love that it has a good ethic of helping young people achieve which shines through. Thanks for the care you all took during our stay.

The extractor fan didn’t work in the bathroom but we forgot to mention it to staff so not their fault it wasn’t addressed.

Location is fantastic central to beach, town, and west Somerset Railway 🛤. The room was large clean and with all the facilities you need. Staff were friendly and polite and went above and beyond to help. We had an early start, and staff went out of their way to cook us a breakfast outside of normal times. The food was very good hot and presented well.

I personally found the room a bit cold, discussed heating with staff informed heating on a central system due to the age of the building room heating not on till the end of September. There is no option to put the heating on in the room. I was offered a heater, but it didn't emerge. Restaurant isn't very exciting, very basic, not very appealing for evening meal.

Location was great couldn’t have got any nearer to the beach. Room was as we expected, chip in cup but as we were only staying the 1 night didn’t complain hopefully this was changed before the next guest arrived. Nice to have warm towels in the morning with a heated towel rail but, the room got too hot and it wouldn’t turn off. Staff more than helpful to guide us to free parking as the car park was full when we arrived.

Breakfast had to be ordered the night before, not sure why this was as the meal was cooked to order when you were seated at your table. Chip in cup in room, hopefully it was changed before the next guest arrived.

Sea view room near sea front. Good size room. Loved being near steam railway station. Owned by YMCA, giving young people work and training. An organisation worth supporting.

Room and bathroom a bit basic. Old shower difficult to adjust to steady temperature. Breakfast buffet also basic - no fruit, yoghurt or toast at Bacon over cooked and leathery. Staff mostly busy preparing food for the public, little attention paid to residents but not willful neglect. Would have gladly given our car number on arrival. The car park is small and a car had parked across two spaces despite hotel's pre-arrival email asking guests to park considerately.

View was spectacular, staff were always friendly, one in particular was exceptionally helpful, can't remember her name unfortunately, but she was young, dark hair, glasses, always smiling. Location to bus/heritage railway was practically on the doorstep, shops and supermarkets were well within reach, if it wasn't so difficult to get there without a car/liking for being squished like sardines on public transport, we would love to come back again. Bacon Brioche was brilliant!

Room could have done with table and chairs as nowhere to sit apart from on the floor/beds, we certainly got a leg workout as the room was top floor and no lift, (not complaining, you just need to be fit) Didn't get a room refresh which was unusual as most hotels check the room at least once during customer stays, we ended up buying necessary supplies for room and left 2 rubbish bags as the bin was not emptied once, shower could do with a handrail on wall to aid getting into the bath, shower itself went from one extreme to the other, little power to it either, Breakfast eggs had runny white which put me off instantly, no visible option of toast either...

My brother lives in minehead, we always get together for st Patrick’s weekend. The beach hotel is prime location for all the activities that we want to do, The staff are amazing, the food is lovely, The rooms have a hairdryer, and have plenty of space

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but just some observations, There is a long mirror on the wall near the door, but no light in that part of the room, and no plug socket near the mirror for doing your hair, Our shower wasn’t working but when reported was noted to be fixed, But having said that it doesn’t stop me going back to the hotel

From the time of booking in to leaving a week later it was like being part of the family. Everyone, especially Jess, made us very welcome along with our Jack Russell. Food was well prepared and delicious. Our room was comfortable and spacious. What hotel have you been to that has ground fresh coffee and a cafetiere in the room along with small bottles of milk? Well done, The Beach Hotel.

The staff were so obliging, couldn't do enough for us including the dog who was spot each morning at breakfast, I would have named all of the staff but they all were so good, We did have a luxury room( Holnicoat) A few personal ideas as it was called a luxury room I would change that ceiling shade have a nice little chandelier, they are not expensive and have a nice settee and coffee table that would make it really luxury

Fantastic location. Our room overlooking the sea, but also had a leafy tree for privacy. We also had two comfy chairs in the room, plenty of wardrobe space a shower and bath. The breakfast was excellent. I had eggs Benedict and my husband had full English. There was also cereal, croissants yogurts and tea and coffee, juice, jam and honey. The room had tea and coffee, biscuits one complimentary water and even small cafeteria and ground coffee. The staff work with the YMCA fantastic ethics!
