Good location, room was big and had a view of the station and a small view of the sea. Very clean, bed was comfortable. Food was well presented and was cooked perfectly, given the young lady cooking was on her own and during a heatwave. We were happy to wait a little longer due to these conditions. As this hotel was run by apprentices, they all worked well and were pleasant, helpful, and very professional in their work. 🥰

There is nothing to really dislike, just a few points that may help for the future. Like most hotels, there are never enough hangers in the wardrobes. A few more normal teabags and sachets of coffee in the rooms would be nice. The range was more herbal and filter coffee which is not the easiest to use. Also, as we seem to be having more of these heatwaves, it may be nice if the management arranged for fans to be put in rooms. Possibly having the bar open until 10pm during July and August. 🙂

There was a team member I asked about the parking found her not very friendly when I arrived on the fri young receptionist was lovely on the sat morning me and my son went for breakfast and the lady who was rude to me didn't even ask hiw the breakfast was as she asked the other customers if she needed anything and didn't ask me or My son so wasn't happy with her attitude she was in her late 50s slum built and with glasses the sun morning she was un the kitchen when I went down for breakfast I found her abrupt she was negative and no smile the young lady blue top and brown hair was lovely she also had classes bur was disappointed in the service by this female

3rd stay at the Beach. Staff are plentiful and helpful. They have well tried and tested routines that work to maximise customer care and provide a high quality service. The hotel supports the YMCA in providing apprenticeships and training for young people and in doing so provide community support for local groups. If you are a steam railway enthusiast this is a must as it is located adjacent to the West Somerset railway station..

There is nothing to dislike, but I haven't found a hotel yet that is totally perfect. There"s 2 floors and no lift.but staff will help with luggage. Free parking is limited but free overnight parking in a pay carpark is available just a few yards away

Perfect location on the seafront next to the Train (steam) station. Large comfortable rooms with an excellent breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Many thanks.

There was scaffolding outside with decorators working on the windows, etc, so overlooking the rooms during working hours. This is temporary and looking like it's finishing soon. Hotel parking is limited first come, first served (or parked). It is right next to a public car park, so there are no real issues. Some disabled spaces could be helpful for mobility impaired residents going forward.

Staff are very friendly, the hotel is in a fab location and breakfast was delicious. The building is well maintained. We stayed in a room called luccombe on the first floor, which is small but modern and clean. This room has a mini balcony that you can stand on overlooking the train station and the sea. If the balcony was built slightly larger (which it could be done from the look of it), it is screaming out for a little bistro table and chairs as there was no room for a chair in the bedroom so we couldn't sit and relax in the room, but we definitely would stay here again.

The location of the hotel was excellent for me, across the road from the beach. My room was VERY large and the bed extremely comfortable. While the bathroom wasn't 5 star it was very clean and functional. The food I had , bar snack, was very good and breakfast next morning was also very good. There were tea & coffee facilities in the room . All of the staff that I interacted with were charming and helpful. I loved the fact that dogs were welcome and I really enjoyed seeing a few in the bar area ,however if you think dogs shouldn't be guests in a hotel then this establishment isn't for you.

The Shower/ bath arrangement was a little difficult to operate , it was stiff, and there was a small crack in the bathroom sink.

Staff are absolutely amazing - go over and above to make you feel welcome and they couldn’t do enough for you. Very clean everywhere. Lovely room and bathroom. Fantastic position and had a sea view. Would highly recommend a stay here. Very reasonably priced and love that it has a good ethic of helping young people achieve which shines through. Thanks for the care you all took during our stay.

The extractor fan didn’t work in the bathroom but we forgot to mention it to staff so not their fault it wasn’t addressed.

We had the family room for 2 adults and one child, it was a large room with a double bed and 2 singles, sea view, excellent tea/coffee facilities, bathroom was well equipped with liquid soap and shower gel. Staff were very efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, eggs cooked to perfection, lots of choice. Everywhere was clean and no complaints what so ever. The beach was very handy across the road.

The shower worked but went hot and cold, but not a problem.

Location is fantastic central to beach, town, and west Somerset Railway 🛤. The room was large clean and with all the facilities you need. Staff were friendly and polite and went above and beyond to help. We had an early start, and staff went out of their way to cook us a breakfast outside of normal times. The food was very good hot and presented well.

I personally found the room a bit cold, discussed heating with staff informed heating on a central system due to the age of the building room heating not on till the end of September. There is no option to put the heating on in the room. I was offered a heater, but it didn't emerge. Restaurant isn't very exciting, very basic, not very appealing for evening meal.

Good pleasant staff, welcoming nothing too much trouble. Little milk bottle for our tea, excellent quality tea/coffee supplied, very good breakfast Full English includes Black Pud. So convenient for the buses and Minehead West Somerset Railway. Excellent hot water for a great bath!

Nothing really, scaffolding was up for external painting but didn't affect our stay. An old building you'd expect a few squeaky floorboards. Curtains uses a long pole to close/open a little awkward
