Booked last minute for a night away with my husband and 1 of my children (the older ones didn’t want to come). The welcome from Ebony was fantastic, much better than average, she was so kind and friendly. Our family room was beautifully presented and very clean. Also the mattresses were great quality and very comfortable. Our only gripe was that I was a little cold so didn’t sleep that well and also the exterior lights at the back of the property are SO bright they hindered my sleep. A recessed blackout blind would really help. But all in all, the stay was great. The room & especially the staff made it.

It’s the second time we have stayed there it’s central to everything the food is good and nice comfortable rooms.

We had a problem on Sunday morning we got down to breakfast at 9.15 it was sometime before the waitress came up to take our order, I could see she was very busy and on her own at one point, she had a table of about 10 and was also serving the bar. I asked if we could get breakfast as soon as possible as we had to meet friends at church in Appledore for 10.20 I phoned our friends and asked them could they pick us up at 10.10 as we were running late, but the breakfast never arrived so we had to leave.

It was my Son and mines first time in Devon and it was made even more special with the staff being friendly and extremely helpful and honest ( I left my BOSE headphones and Hannah rang me after I checked out to tell me they were left in the room....(thank you so much) Kelly and Jo (cleaners) were absolutely lovely and chatty. The food was amazing. Even my picky eater of a son finished sausages, and he never eats them!!!! We stayed in the most cleanest and loveliest room, beds were so comfortable, and there was coffee, milk, etc. (more than standard given) Thank you for making our first time to Devon a memorable stay. We will definitely be back 😊

We loved everything....there is not one thing I could fault with this place....

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed us to stash our bags when we arrived quite early on the day of our stay, before check-in, so we could run off in the meantime. The bed was comfy, the location of the place was very good (for us hiking the SWCP), and breakfast was excellent in that, for a change, this place caters well for vegans and vegetarians. We think that feature rather defines a place, distinguishing it from the older, stuck-in-their-way places that deal with vegetarians begrudgingly. The room and its bathroom were light and cheerful and substantial and clean and the tariff for all of that was very reasonable. Strongly recommended.

Very clean room and bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed and comfortable nights sleep - no blaring music from downstairs. Breakfast - plenty to choose from including vegetarian and vegan options. Plenty of food on the cooked breakfast plate. Staff friendly and helpful - let me check into room earlier than the normal check in time owing to a wedding I was attending and needed to get ready. Would book again.

TV remote needed a clean. Wooden Tables in breakfast dining room felt sticky - informed staff who said it was the cleaning products they used on the tables and that the tables were due to be re-varnished.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, they could not do enough for us. It makes such a difference to be greeted by a team who are genuinely welcoming and helpful. From getting us breakfast when we arrived down from our room a bit late to letting us leave our car there for an extra day before we arrived whilst walking the coast path. You will not find better customer service and experience. The rooms are clean and modern, the beds comfortable and it was fairly quiet.

It would be great to have a fan in the room for when it is hot.

The room was beautifully decorated, and housekeeping came in every day to replenish towels and tea/coffee. The property is right by the seafront so was a perfect location. One of the staff remembered us and our coffee orders when we came down for breakfast which was lovely.

The pub itself isn’t very clean - the tables are sticky and the outside benches are very dirty. The hot water stopped working one day which required fixing. Breakfast options were somewhat limited for a vegetarian. The staff also often forgot items we ordered at breakfast.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Waterfront Inn. The location is unbeatable—right by the beach with sea views from our room that made it feel truly special. The room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was fantastic, featuring a powerful shower, a deep bath, a stylish light-up mirror, and the complimentary toiletries added a luxurious touch. The bed was incredibly comfy, ensuring a restful sleep. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, and the free parking was a much-appreciated convenience. If you're looking for a seaside escape, it is perfect.

I don't know where to start. I took my Autistic son for a break away from the city. His food was served the way he will eat. We were given an amazing, quiet and very clean room where we felt safe and comfortable. Like never my son slept all night through and I felt relaxed. Everyone was kind and friendly. The B&B is a very relaxing and family orientated place. We will definitely get back soon. The game room was a very big win for my son, he learnt to play snooker.

I loved my room - large, modern, beautifully decorated, comfortable, with side sea view. It exceeded expectations. The hotel location is also great - near shops, restaurant, beach, and coastal path.

Breakfast didn't meet expectations. It is served in a depressing room with sticky tables. The tables are bare so you sit at one and wait for someone to appear. There is no juice, cereal, fruit etc. When the waitress brings the plate of food, she brings the cutlery in a little rusted bucket - and that is it I really missed having marmalade.
