Clare & Mike were lovely hosts. The house is situated in a very quiet location, in beautiful surroundings with a small holding and lovely gardens. It was really nice not to have a tv, the chance to read and unwind in the lounge surrounded by books and artwork....a pleasant surprise. The room was large, airy and really well appointed. Clare's breakfast was superb, a combination of healthy granola, natural yogurt, compot and fruits picked fresh from the garden..... followed by delicious poached eggs on sourdough toast.... what's not to like. We highly recommend the farmhouse and hope to make a return visit in the not too distant future.
The only thing that was a bit tricky was navigating the exit from the farmhouse onto the main road. It's a country road so drive accordingly.

We were in the area to visit RHS Rosemore and this B&B was almost an extension to that garden. The conservatory by which you enter is full of a wonderful array of tropical plants and the gardens are extensive. The welcome is very friendly, the large double bed very comfortable with a good ensuite. A good breakfast is included which is mainly home produced products including fruits and eggs. A very quiet location and ample parking.

Very comfortable bed with soft linen and extra blankets for warmth if we were chilly. The room and bathroom were tastefully decorated. Soft towels and lovely soap. It felt like extra attention had been paid to the little luxuries which are important when away.Able to make tea and coffee in the room. Clare was very welcoming and attentive. Lovely old farmhouse, uniquely decorated and amidst beautiful gardens. Very peaceful. We enjoyed our breakfast of yogurt, granola and fresh berries prepared by Clare, followed by poached and scrambled eggs on sourdough. The coffee was good too. Conveniently located for visiting RHS Rosemoor, which is why we initially chose this place. However we were also able to cycle some of the Tarka trail and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. Clare recommended several places to eat which were good.
There was nothing we didn't like

The hosts Claire and Mike were incredibly welcoming. We arrived and were offered tea, we sat in the cosy sitting room, fire roaring, with a beautiful teapot of loose leaf tea. The farmhouse is tastefully furnished, and stylish with so many lovely details. Breakfast was delicious, served a compote of their home grown fruits, and fresh eggs from their own chickens. Claire and Mike were very respectful giving you your own space, yet very helpful and knowledgeable for what to do in the local area. It was a wonderful quiet country retreat, yet not far from the lovely seaside town of Appledore, or surf beach Croyd, and many other lovely sights such as RHS Rosemoore Gardens, absolutely a must to see! We thoroughly enjoyed it and will visit again!
Nothing! We were very happy with everything, and will visit Frizenham Farmhouse again in the future. The only disappointment was the weather, we hoped for a bit more sunshine! As we know that can't be guaranteed, therefore it was a wonderful stay.

I had granola with yoghourt and home made fruit compotes, with coffee. Perfect. We also requested evening supper, and on our four evenings had hake, lamb chops, Chicken Ruby from the Dishoom cookbook, and a lovely venison casserole, all served with fresh vegetables, and pudding to follow. Clare is an excellent cook!
Frankly, nothing. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly return. The farmhouse is close to RHS Rosemoor, and there are other local attractions as well.

Clare is a wonderful host. Breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit from the garden. If you get the opportunity to have dinner, take it! Claire and her husband are excellent chefs and the food they create is beautiful. The snug down stairs with log burner is a lovely place to relax.
Wasn't a problem for me as I like sleeping in a cold room, but if you feel the chill and are visiting in winter, bring some warm layers to wear in bed.

All was lovely! It was immaculately clean & Claire is a wonderful hostess, we didn’t want for anything. The farmhouse is rustic, tastefully decorated with a conservatory that is perfect for breakfast or an evening meal. The food was fabulous. The room was great with nice shower & comfy bed. There are beautiful surroundings with an extensive garden & friendly dachshunds.
Nothing to dislike

Clare, the host, was very friendly. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit from the garden, Greek yoghurt and eggs on toast. There was a comfy guest sitting room with a cosy open fire.
It can be tricky finding the entrance, drive slowly after coming out of Taddiport. Although not related to the property, what would stop us staying again was the lack of places to eat. None of the pubs in Great Torrington were doing food on the second night of our stay.

Breakfast was great on both occasions once where I opted for standard Granola / Scrambled Eggs and the next day where I had the Full English - also delicious. The first night after I checked in I sat next to a warm wood fire burner and read for a while. Shower was great. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Nothing I can think of. I did mention that I would have recommended it to friends except for the bedroom being upstairs which would be difficult someone with mobility issues. For me everything was fine.

I spent 4 very relaxed evenings in front of a wood burner fire at Frizenham Farmhouse B&B. So quiet away from the road. Breakfast too was out of the ordinary consisting of cereal, yoghurt and compotes of soft summer fruits from their garden. I can thoroughly recommend this B&B to experience the tranquility of life though there is free WiFi.
