Stephen and Peter have obviously invested not only time but money in there wonderful accommodation . From point of checkin to check out really enjoyed staying at Moorview House . They went over above the welcome offered which definitely adds to the stay . I really must have had a lucky streak this past week one of two separate stays and both I had to give perfect reviews . Bideford is well worth a visit also for keen cyclists . Excellent value for money . Continental Breakfast was shear joy each morning . Believe me I have stayed in literally 100s of mid range accommodation with Booking.com (can be verified ) over the past two decades most are dross and expensive . Again sometimes wonder why the owners are in this area of the leisure industry . Faultless in my experience .

I think the cockerel needs seeing to with a 12 bore !!!! ( Joke ). I loved hearing him chat away to his Partners and mates !!!! (Only audible outside ,you are right in the countryside so not unusual .)

This B&B is in a stunning location inland from Bideford on the edge of Exmoor. Outside is a meadow with secluded benches and tables for picnicking and eating breakfast in the morning sun. The only sounds were the birds and bees. Our host was charming and helpful, giving us plenty of information on the locality and some useful recommendations. This was one of the best proper b&b s I have stayed in. The breakfast was a particular pleasure being left outside the door of our room in an insulated hamper with cereals , local yoghurts and French patisseries. The weather was good so we ate outside. We shall be returning at some point in the future.

A small cosy pub on the other side of the meadow would have been ideal, but on reflection, our romantic bottle of wine and picnic in the sunset was pretty much perfect. There was absolutely nothing we disliked.

Nice touch with the dressing gowns. Lovely room and decor. Plenty of parking and the property is about 10 mins drive from Bideford. Good recommendations for eateries.

Breakfast was well presented in a hamper delivered to our room door at 8.30am. There were no options given so it was granola, fresh orange/apple juice, a thick creamy yogurt with a croissant, Danish or muffin. It was too stodgy for us though and needed some fresh fruit or the option of cereal instead. Two breakfasts were enough for us. The evenings were cool but the heating never came on although our host advised us on check in that it would. Our fault we were cold we should have let our obliging hosts know.

Everything was perfect from the time we arrived to when we left! Stephen greeted us with a full run down of facilities etc we stayed in room one which is big enough for a short or longer stay. The room was decorated to a high spec. Everything you needed for a lovely stay. Tea, coffee hot chocolate and biscuits were replenished throughout our stay. Hairdryer, soft towels, shampoo, shower gel, bathrobes and a lovely bath and shower. The bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows. A fan if you needed it and a torch too! The grounds are well maintained with lots of seating and such a peaceful quiet location. The best thing was breakfast. Delivered at 8.30am but earlier on request! From granola or muesli Yoghurt hot croissants and pastries. Slight change on different days with ham and cheese or muffins. Cafetiere coffee too. Fridge also available . We had the best time and loved having our chats with Stephen putting the world to rights. Thank you for all your hospitality We will return x

Enjoyed a very comfortable and pleasant two night stay at Moorview House. Great communication with Stephen prior to my arrival. Was greeted on arrival and shown around the room and location. The proprerty was extremely pleasant, the room spacious, with all expected amenities plus some. The breakfasts were a very nice touch and much appreciated. Very close to the town centre, 10 - 15 minutes drive. Quiet location.

Location is a little secluded, so do be prepared. I visited in Winter, whereas I am sure during the Spring and Summer it would be better to take in the surrounding area and scenery. Do be mindful to follow the instructions provided when driving to the location, I made the mistake of following my satnav which took my down some small country lanes.

The property was amazing , very clean , the room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and tasted fresh every morning. You can come and go as much as you like which we really liked about our stay here. They even went the extra mile and gave us fudge for our anniversary as complimentary. They were really lovely hosts.

There was nothing not to like, the view was really pretty but if you want a sea view you would need to stay somewhere else.

Moorview House was everything we hoped it would be. Really well located in relation to beaches and all the other surrounding areas. We bought our dog with us and was perfect. Little private garden for room no.3 which we requested and was ideal. Gorgeous surroundings. Lovely little breakfast hamper delivered 8.30am each morning. Well equipped room, clean, friendly, cosy and warm. (we visited in winter). Just gorgeous! Friendly people, couldn’t do enough for you! Highly recommend!

There isn’t anything we didn’t like. Loved it!

Location was spot on for a quiet holiday and just a short drive from the beautiful coastline. Breakfast was delivered in a basket each morning which we ate outside in the sunshine listening to the birds. It included different things each day and was all delicious and plentiful. It was incredibly peaceful, no street lights, no pavements, no busy traffic which is just what we were looking for. The whole place was spotless and the room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Stephen was a great host. Thankyou for a lovely break.

Nothing it was simply faultless.

The room was LOVELY! The bathroom was gorgeous, shower was great and there was plenty of storage for all of our bits and pieces - we also had our own key and could come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone, which was great.

The only downside was that you could hear people in the corridor and in the other rooms. This didn’t disturb us at all, but we were conscious that we could be heard in other rooms too. Also, the tap ran very slow in the bathroom - but this is a very small element of an otherwise gorgeous bathroom!

Stephen was very welcoming. Comfortable bed and awesome shower. Good breakfast.

Although the breakfast was good,it would have been nice to have a choice. We were given Granola and various pastries on the first morning but I don't eat Granola and I only like a plain croissant. My husband ended up eating it all. The next morning there were cornflakes so if we had been given a choice I could have had them . I ended up pretty hungry but my husband had a good breakfast each morning. The only other thing was lack of space in room 2. I struggled getting round the bed.
