Great breakfast menu (I loved the fresh omelette), Kara is very helpful in every way, whether bus timetables or recommendations for dinner and also always good for a laugh. The bed is confi, it’s a good location near the heart of the little city and my favorite live-music pub „the Barrel“, a short walk to the beach and the coastal path, good car parking spaces nearby at the supermarket Co-Op (I payed only 6 pounds for 3 nights via the App „just park“) There are two breakfast options: at 8am and 9am. Just a remark, „Burn view“ is during the day a busy street and my room was pointing out to it, (and to the golf club and the hills behind it), some other rooms didn’t, but at night it is perfectly calm. I was out hiking during the day anyway.

Beautiful property and owners. Kara is so helpful, knowledgeable and all round just lovely! A real home from home stay. Quality of furniture and fittings are of a very high standard and impeccably clean. Breakfast is served on super hot plates so the delicious food stays hot from start to finish. Location is perfect too. We would definitely recommend staying here if Bude is your destination ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We only stayed two nights!

What absolutely fantastic host, Kara & Tony, we arrived on a wet rainy afternoon a little early & after a quick telephone call she said come on in, and we were certainly welcomed with a warm friendly greeting, such a friendly atmosphere . I’ve certainly no hesitation in recommending this guest house & we will definitely be staying there again, fantastic Breakfast, nothing to much trouble, and attention to detail first class. Thank you 5* and beyond

Lovely host, clean room, great breakfast and a superb location.

I had a small single room as I was travelling alone for work. The single bed and bedroom were great but the room with the toilet and sink was maybe a bit TOO cosy (I struggled to clean my teeth as I had to duck under the shelf above the sink and stand diagonally to fit in). The separate shower cubicle was perfectly spacious though.

We only stayed one night as we were attending a Trafalgar Night dinner across the road. The room was very comfortable, and the staff very friendly. The inclusive breakfast was excellent. Thanks very much, and we will see you again next year.

Small point, and there is not a lot that can be done about it, but the positioning power points could be more convenient.

It was great staying at Sunrise Guesthouse. I have been coming to Bude for many years and needed somwhere to stay that was central, clean and at a good price. I also needed a single room at a decent price. Sunrise guest house offered all of that. It was comfortable, nicely decorated and Kara was a lovely host. I would love to stay with them again.

The hosts were very friendly, easy to talk to, and nothing was to much trouble, very pleased, the breakfast came on hot plates, the breakfast tables were laid out very nicely, my room had a big window which let in a lot of natural light, if I could I would have taken the bed home with me, it was so comfortable..

The water system was a bit nosie when flushing the toilet and the shower fan I could hear

Great breakfast; house very clean and appeared recently decorated.

We thought parking could be a problem for some as free parking hours are limited in front of the house. However it did not cause an issue for us as we were out and about most of daytime. The (top floor) room was very clean and comfortable - but has a sloping ceiling. I did manage to knock my head a few times (my carelessness but worth keeping in mind if you are tall!)

Beautiful, clean and comfortable bedroom. Owner was lovely, chatty and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon absolute luxury!!! My husband had full English delicious with all products locally sourced. Location superb, golf course across the road, centre 2 minutes away and a few minutes more and you’re on the beach.

That we couldn’t stay and be spoilt a few days longer

I stayed in the single room with the bath, a beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean room. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding pristine and the room was airy and light. The breakfast was delicious and Kara went that extra mile to ensure I was happy. This is the second time I have stayed at Sunrise and I look forward to my next visit!
