I loved everything about this gorgeous wee B&B. The location in the middle of Stratton is great. I had 'Acorn', a small double room with its own entrance. The room was lovely; very well appointed with a comfortable double bed, TV, plenty of space for clothes, a full length wall mirror (always a bonus), plentiful tea and coffee, water, milk. There was even a large make-up mirror and a box of tissues. The bathroom had everything I needed, including lovely toiletries, and the shower was very good. Although the room was small and there was no room for an armchair, I could use the guest lounge if I wished. The breakfast was superb, using mainly locally sourced, fresh products, and the hosts, Lyn and Bob, bent over backwards to accommodate my many dietary requirements. They were warm, welcoming hosts. Absolutely fabulous.

I liked everything about the B&B but was disappointed to discover that neither of the local pubs was open! A bit odd considering I was staying during high season!

A great 2 night stay at a well appointed B&B. Modern with a large room and large ensuite. Spotlessly clean and quiet. The bed was super comfy with soft pillows and the wifi was excellent which is really important when travelling for work. Although I didn't have breakfast the hosts were very accommodating and would do breakfast early for me if needed. There was a range of cereals, milk, yoghurt and fruit in the breakfast room fridge for early risers and normal breakfast was from 07:30. If you wanted to eat in with takeaway food you could do so in the dining area (although I did not, this is an option). A large flat screen TV in your room with the usual tea, coffee and hot chocolate was boosted with a jar of yummy biscuits, if you get peckish. Outside there's a large deck area with seating and a separate seating area further into the large garden (although during my stay, the weather didn't prompt me using these areas, they looked inviting) Definitely added to my go to places.

It's difficult to think of any. The driveway slopes down to the house and is bordered by white walls on either side which makes it easy to see where you are when reversing into your parking space. If you drive a large car, be observant as it may take careful maneuvering if you are not used to it. (the verge at the top of the drive is very wide so could accommodate parking)

Oak lodge is an amazing gem of a B&B situated 5 mins drive outside Bude but close enough to walk into the town (only 20 mins). Lynn and Bob are truly wonderful hosts, you are made to feel at home from the minute you arrive. Breakfasts are excellent with a glorious view across the countryside. Room (chesworth) is spacious, clean and furnished to a high standard. Bed was super comfy. On suite was fantastic, honestly the best break I have had.

Oak Lodge was the perfect location for the area we wanted to be in. The hosts were polite, professional, delivered amazing customer service. The room we were allocated was nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. We were able to use the decked area in the garden which overlooked the village, and as it was sunny it was nice and pleasant to sit outside in the peace and quiet. The breakfast choice was superb with everything you needed to start the day.

The house was immaculate from the bedroom, bathroom to the breakfast room. Our hosts, Lynn and Bob were most welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area and places to eat. Breakfast was excellent and perfect every time. Bude is about 30-35 mins walk from the house or 5 mins drive to the Wharf car park which is free after 4pm. In addition, there is parking available at the house. We had a lovely time here, very highly recommended!

All of it was great,superb B&B great hosts thanks Lyn & Bob ,breakfast fantastic great choices too for a small B & B ,will def be back when visiting Cornwall. Rooms lovely and clean, everything you need is thought about ,comfortable, quiet and lovely views .Perfect.

Nothing to not like

The room was clean and bright,the breakfast was absolutely gorgeous the welcome was outstanding we was greated by Lyn and Bob with a pot of tea and some lemon drizzle cake which is a great touch after such a long drive,once we had chilled with our tea and cake Lyn then showed us to our room to let us settle in. We would strongly recommend staying at this bed+breakfast and we will also be recommending the property to our friends and family. Thank you Lyn and Bob for such a lovely experience xx.

There's absolutely nothing not to like about this bed+breakfast

Thank you so much to Lynn & bob for being so welcoming, from the minute we arrived to when we left. They kindly made us a lovely breakfast every morning, and it wasn't just a breakfast, they made us full English, omelettes, fruit salads, juices, coffee extra toast. Our room was lovely & was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Really lovely personal touches. Would definitely recommend & will definitely be back. Thanks again x

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Presentation first class and food exceptional. The location is a short way out of Bude. Too far to walk but only a 5minute car journey.

There was nothing to dislike about our stay.

Lynn and Bob were so friendly and clearly take great pride in their wonderful BnB, it had everything we could need, spotlessly clean too and plenty of attention to the small details. Breakfast options were great.
