Relaxed and ambient traditional hotel in an off road picturesque setting. Located near Clevedon town centre with interesting shops including a delicious bakery and cafe/barber shop. Great stop over for longer road trips north to south/vice versa. Lovely big family room, clean bathroom with deep luxurious bath. Real wood furniture and blossom soft furnishings gave it an expensive feel. Comfy bed and fluffy towels. Friendly and helpful staff. Bar restaurant looking out north west over Bristol channel. A perfect place to view the setting sun over Cardiff city. Lots of parking.

The room was very warm at the end of the summer, and a bit noisy on the road side when windows required opening. Otherwise no complaints

The hotel had a charm and elegance about it. It has a stunning location with many areas looking out across the channel to Wales. The staff are so friendly and helpful and provide a relaxed and comfortable environment. There is an abundance of modernisation throughout the hotel but the history can still be seen. There are little touches still in evidence of that personalised hotel way that make it feel special and as a guest you feel you are seen and not invisible as can sometimes be said for the more modern type stays. Teapots and coffee pots at breakfast instead of machine drinks add a special feel and although the breakfast is till a buffet and not served it is still provided with style and ease. The staff are very attentive to your needs and easily go out to please.

It much at all except to say that a little hotel information in the room would be useful. Including map and pointed access to the garden areas and car parking. Bar and restaurant times and room service availability would be helpful. It was difficult to plan the day when you are not sure what was available in advance.

Stayed in a very nice executive room with a sea view. The room was large with a huge bed and tasteful decor so seemed like it had been refurbished fairly recently. It had a good sized en suite bathroom, which also looked like it was fairly recently done as it was stylish and modern. There was also a tiny room/walk-in wardrobe behind our bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet very nice with a relaxing sea view from restaurant. Hotel is housed in a beautiful old building and has a lovely feel to it. Would definitely return.

The corridor leading to our room was a little shabby, and the vinyl flooring on the stairs leading down to it cheapened the feel of the place for me. But they were minor things as overall I really liked this hotel, and our room was lovely.

A really nice old hotel that hasn't really kept pace with modern standards but was definitely full of character and charm. The view from the bedroom over the Severn and further beyond to South Wales was very pleasant. The rooms were clean, spacious but again, felt a little dated but everything was in good order. Breakfast was fine, nothing spectacular. The hotel is around a 10/15 min walk into town. Just a mention for the staff on the front desk who were really friendly and helpful.

Just a bit pricey but had a good stay there.

Good size room with a comfortable bed. Plenty of storage wardrobes and hangars. Large shower with a standard and rain type shower head. Great views across the Severn Channel. Breakfast was good with a buffet style cooked section, cereals, pastries, fruit juices and a large commercial toaster, so really good value. The dining room also offered sea views. The Hotel is located within a steady 19-15 minute walk of the seafront and pier where there are plenty of , bars, cafes, etc and the famous Victorian pier. The staff were really friendly, helpful and professional.

My only comment here would be that although the hotel was clean and tidy overall the decor and furniture were a bit dated and tired looking. This is only a minor issue and did not affect our stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location with a good car park within walking distance of Clevedon. The hotel is lovely and our room was excellent tastefully decorated and a good size ensuite and a good size room with a sea view .The breakfast was also very good and liked the cooked food was self serve buffet style.Would definitely like to stay there again.

The only disappointment was our room 209 must have been near the kitchen as throughout the night could hear a constant drone which was quite loud and unfortunately disturbed our sleep.

Great location, an easy 10 minute walk to the shops, restaurant and sea front. We were in Room 208 which had amazing views across the Bristol Channel, was nicely decorated, lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly. Breakfast - full english - was nicely cooked with good quality sausages! We felt the breakfast for £15 was pitched about right for what was offered. Plenty of car parking.

The hotel, although an attractive old building, is tired and dated. However, we feel it is still not bad value.

The room was bright, large, and very clean with a big bed. We liked the large bathroom and large shower. We didn't pay for a sea view and thought the proximity to the road would make it noisy but it wasn't at all. The hotel was easy to find and had it's own free carpark.

The noise of the toilet macerator made me jump, a bit noisy if using the loo in the night! The breakfasts were good but would of liked to see a little bit more fresh fruit/berries and maybe grilled tomatoes with the cooked breakfast, but otherwise nice hot breakfasts.

Great location, lovely views from the restaurant and lounge areas, and the staff were wonderful, on the whole. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and warm. Food was excellent. Staff were mostly very helpful.

Nothing much but I didn't get the room I booked. They probably thought they were giving me a better one, but I booked a twin with a garden view and got a triple with a road view. It would have been nice if this had been discussed first. Hairdryer in the room was a bit rubbish.

Lovely bedroom overlooking the Bristol channel and Wales.. Excellent breakfast. We were attending a 40th wedding anniversary during the day so 5 family members in 3 different rooms and so nice to have a big table by the window for us all for breakfast.

The room on 2nd floor was very cold that evening, night and morning. I think the temperature drop was phenomenal on the 21st of September, but even so, I could only get heat from the towel rail in the bathroom. There was no hairdryer.
