Nice room.
Resturaunt food for dinner was excellent but needed a bit of garnish as part of the main course, very limited choice too. The main course was a bit sparse looking. This was evidenced by the lack of patronage. If the platter been more presentable with wider choice I, for one, would have used the Resturaunt more. I think it's a missed business opportunity with plenty of competition in the area. I saw carry out meals being delivered in the evening, that says something. Visit Brown's at the Marriot if you want to see how it's done.

Very good location near the Castle and the major shopping centre. The room had everything we needed except a plug near a mirror (for drying your hair). The staff were very helpful, particularly Sara at reception who was extremely patient while I tried to negotiate the Hilton Honors digital system (which is not user-friendly). There was plenty to eat at breakfast but we didn’t eat at Graze, the in-house restaurant. We also found the local NCP car park nearby and were able to leave our car there for 48 hours (though it wasn’t cheap). We would stay here again.
No porter to help with luggage so we had to ask the girls on reception which was awkward for them if only one person was there.

We got the superior deluxe room and it was big, clean and the pillows and bed was very comfortable. We were on 6th floor, not the nicest view but the room and toilet made up for it. Location was ideal right in the centre of everything! The castle was just a stones throw away and a car park just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel also has a discount code for the car park which is nice. Would definitely recommend if looking to stay in Cardiff central as pretty much everything from the hotel is walking distance. Staff during the breakfast were very friendly, and the breakfast was nice. We won guest of the day so got the breakfast for both our mornings free and we had a nice bottle of champagne upon arrival as It was me and my partners anniversary!
Could’ve gotten a room with a nicer view but honestly we didn’t mind. No smart TV but also we didn’t mind this too much!

It was rather average, not at all high class. The area with toast etc is so hidden away, I had to ask " how do I get toast ?" Confusing layout, and very down-market. The scrambled eggs were from reconstituted powder and inedible. Penny-pinching and cost cutting were all too obvious, as if it were a cheap low-cost hotel serving budget food.
The restaurant service was extremely slow. At first I was repeatedly told that the restaurant had already closed, to dissuade me from ordering dinner. This trick did not work and I insisted on getting something for dinner, and hence the very slow service provided grudgingly. Not a high class experience to put it mildly.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when we checked in, explaining everything in detail. We were offered access to the swimming pool and gym facilities as part of our stay, which was a great option, though unfortunately, we were too busy with work meetings to use them. The rooms were spotless, spacious, stylish, and very comfortable. I would highly recommend having the breakfast—having stayed in many hotels for work, this was by far the best breakfast experience I have ever had. The continental selection was excellent, including yoghurts, nuts, dried fruit and compote, pastries, and much more. The fruit juices were delicious, the coffee was lovely, and the cooked breakfast was fresh with a fantastic selection. The scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious! Even the chef behind the hot breakfast counter was friendly and wished us a good morning. Everything was beautifully presented, and nothing ever ran out, which can be a challenge during busy times. The dining room staff were also fabulous. As it was my first time staying there, they took the time to explain everything to me and made a real effort to wish us a great day as we were leaving. If I could, I would give the breakfast a 100-star rating—five stars simply aren’t enough! The 12 o’clock check-out was a fantastic option, even though we had to leave earlier. Many hotels have late check-ins and early check-outs around 10 am, so having a later check-out was a great perk. When we checked out, the staff were once again extremely helpful, allowing us to store our luggage while we attended meetings, which was incredibly convenient and meant we didn’t have to carry it around the city with us. Overall, an outstanding experience—I would highly recommend staying here and I will be returning anytime I am in Cardiff.
One of the lifts was out of service which wasn't a huge issue, just waiting a little longer for the other one to make all the drop offs.

The reception staff were very kind and accommodating
The spa facilities- the pool didn’t feel particularly clean and the steam room was out of order for the duration of our stay. My sister and I had a lovely couple of nights staying at the Hilton. However, we were staying there. However, we were staying there on the weekend of Billy Joel which made the price of the room 3x more expensive. All the hotels in Cardiff had priced their rooms the same so it was unavoidable. The hotel is adequate and but not good enough for the price we paid for it.

The room pictures shown on booking.com did not match the actual room. I was expecting something spacious and got the standard can't-swing-a-cat shoebox. I did complain and the excellent and helpful Chiara put us in a slightly better room and provided suitcase stands so we at least had somewhere to access our clothes (no dressers in rooms). All the front desk staff were very helpful - Chiara and Adam are names that I remember, but all other staff were very helpful.
Small room size compared to deceptive pictures on Bookings.com. A faulty fire alarm that emptied the hotel at 4 in the morning! The expensive overnight parking does not access the hotel directly - it's in a dungeon-like basement with very tight parking spots. You have to walk up the down-ramp to get out of the parking.

Room was nice and bed comfortable. Nice bar area. Staff very helpful and castle view good. Location good and breakfast.
Thin cheap toilet paper in room. Felt changing area to swimming pool was not very clean and no changing cubicles and only toilets or open area by lockers to change in, lack of privacy. Also no spinner machine to wring out and dry costume . after use. Also frustrated that all hotels raise their prices when a well known band or event is playing or taking place in Cardiff. Not good value for your money.

- Staff were lovely especially at check in and breakfast - Our request for a castle view was listened to and we were also given some nommy cupcakes after mentioning that it was our anniversary - breakfast was delicious with lots of choice - rooms was lovely, loved the different lighting options - good size towels provided
- pity there was no bath and it would have been nice to have two hand basins given the size of the bathroom - changing rooms and pool area looking tired - pieces of grit in the pool - part of the pool was cordoned off due to private swimming lessons which made the rest of the pool v busy - people hogging the spa bath - frustrating although we recognise not the hotel's fault

Hotel is in great location, clean, most staff friendly.
Yes, it was the rugby weekend so value for money doesn't enter the equation. Always get ripped off no matter where on these occasions.
