The location was excellent, only a short walk from the station , attractions, shops and bars & restaurants. Previous reviews had said that it was ideal for the solo traveller so that's why I chose it and I was glad that I did. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and there wasn't any mould in the shower which I so often find in even the best hotels ! The breakfast is only served from 8-10 am but I had booked on a day trip which was picking me up at 8 am so they helpfully packed me up a breakfast so I could eat it it in my room which was fine with me.

Central location. Continental breakfast included with lots to choose from including lovely little Welsh cakes, sourdough toast etc, plus option for cooked breakfast with an additional charge. There’s a lovely guest lounge with complimentary tea or coffee available & an honesty book for additional drinks/snacks. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. Charlotte kindly organised a taxi for us to return to the airport on our last morning. (People with mobility difficulties should check as we used the stairs to access our room & I’m not sure if there’s a lift option). We stayed there twice during our trip to wales & have no hesitation recommending this special place.

From the moment we walked into this hotel we knew we had found a little gem. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated. Spanish modern vibe. Rooms so cosy and comfortable. Gorgeous toiletries, wish I could have purchased them. Robes and slippers. Every little touch had been carefully considered. There was also a beautiful lounge for guests on the first floor where you can help yourself to tea and coffee free of charge. Alcohol beverages were on an " honestly" policy. So guests write what they have drunk in a little book which is charged to their room. This relaxing lounge lead out to a cute outdoor courtyard with cosy chairs and sun umbrellas. I have stayed in five star hotels across Europe that could learn a thing or two about customer service and attention to detail from this establishment. And as for the restaurant. ....absolutely sublime. The varied menu, the fresh ingredients and imaginative menu made for a foodies delight. The fresh cocktails are on another level. Off the menu or made to your own request. The open chargrill fire , the open chefs kitchen. It was just a delight. The staff were just so lovely from the moment we arrived, and the only sad part was that we couldnt stay longer. If you are planning a stay,don't book for one night . You will be devastated,as it's a hotel you just don't want to leave. We will definitely be returning to stay longer this time.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was fantastic

This hotel is an absolute gem. Our room was romantic, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Everything in the room was of the highest quality. As the building is old, there are small windows with only a street view, but the location is perfect, on a quiet street and only steps away from the castle and the main shopping streets. There was a tastefully furnished and quiet roof terrace (plus a comfortable inside space if the weather was bad). The breakfasts were excellent with lots of homemade goodies, including Welsh cakes and granola. The Spanish restaurant on the ground floor was a superb place for lunch, as well as a lovely spot to enjoy the delicious breakfasts. The bathroom was large, modern and charming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Without a doubt, it's a wonderful hotel and we would most certainly stay here again.

The only thing I could fault this hotel on, was the lack of closet space and drawers in the room. There were only a few hangers on the wall. If that could be improved, I would have given it a 10 rating.

Great city centre location. Very good vibe and the room was beautiful. Comfortable and well appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I did like that there was a communal lounger with a well appointed bar to help yourself (honest box) to note what you’ve had) and a courtyard when the weather is nice. A very nice touch.

We had a front facing room on 1st floor and although the windows were double glazed there was some street noise from the Lorrie’s cleaning/delivering early morning. (Mainly bottles being collected due to being in an area of bars). However this was a very minor point and we enjoyed our stay nonetheless 😁

I really enjoyed my 1 night stay here. The attention to detail at this hotel was stunning. The rooms are tastefully designed and spotlessly clean, with high quality bedding and towels. It was a very comfortable nights sleep. The guest area was lovely and had everything you could wish for. I personally didn’t mind having to pop out the room for coffee as the fresh coffee they provided was really good. I also massively enjoyed the continental breakfast; much more interesting and better quality than your normal hotel breakfast. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming which was nice and made the experience very relaxing.

Excellent hotel, very quiet considering the Central location. Room was clean & spacious with a powerful double shower. Complimentary toiletries smelt great and were regularly replenished. Excellent outside Courtyard exclusive to guests. Breakfast although Continental (Cooked Breakfast available at a reasonable price) was good with Fresh fruit. I was able to drop off luggage before check in time and staff were helpful with carrying our luggage.

No Tea & Coffee making facilities in our room, although complimentary tea & coffee was available in the guest lounge.

Everything was spotlessly clean, the comfiest bed with beautiful decoration. Loved the lounge area, a little piece of heaven where you can relax and have a drink. Breakfast in the morning was delish, a small selection of quality produce included in the room and option to purchase an extra cooked breakfast if desired. My husband did and loved the cooked welsh, he said it was one of the best he has had, with unique produce.

Only thing I didn't like was not having a kettle or coffee machine in the room, to get dressed and make our way to the lounge to get a brew in the morning was a bit of a faff. For the room rate some homemade biscuits would have been a nice touch.

Parador 44 is sited on the doorstep of the Principality Stadium and within minutes of the heart of Cardiff's shopping centre. As such, it was a lovely surprise to find this oasis of tranquility and calm. Beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, with all the facilities we required for our one night stay. The lounge and roof terrace (with honesty bar) was just lovely - and our room even better! We were in Flor - right on the street - but never heard a sound from outside. A massive, comfortable bed, seating area and luxurious bathroom... it was just a joy! Breakfast is taken in Asador 44 - the restaurant downstairs - and was lovely. We opted for the hot menu (extra cost) and it's well worth the money, but the continental option was also well thought through and delicious (the granola!) Finally, the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Really would highly recommend.

My only slight nitpick would be the extra cost for a hot breakfast - but the quality of the food is exceptional.

Excellent location for the lovely restaurants and bars that we enjoy visiting. One of the best being Asador 44 which is next door and belongs to the hotel. Staff were fabulous. Continental breakfast is just what I like and there are more substantial cooked breakfast options available. It’s a very small boutique hotel with around 8 rooms I believe. The communal lounge has a very substantial honestly bar. I found the accommodation to be exceptionally clean.

I didn’t enjoy the trek down to the lounge to make my early morning coffee. I would have preferred to make it in my room. However I do understand why it’s planned like this.
