Hotel is excellent for a weekend break in Cardiff , perfect location for sports and entertainment. Good location for everyone. A Very nice breakfast also . Very polite staff and very clean

Only thing I wasn’t to keen on was stepping over bath for a shower. Everything else perfect.

Great location, clean and friendly staff. Beds were so comfy. Staff arranged for balloons banners and a selection of cake for my partner as it was her 30th birthday.

The smell of fish from the restaurant lingered in the reception and lifts but it was bearable.

Location is perfect, right in the centre of Cardiff. I like the fact it has its own car park and can leave the car up to 3.00pm.

Common ladies toilet in the foyer had a sink out of order for what it looked like a while as it had brown water in it. An evening meal tray was left on the 3rd floor outside the lifts foyer, it was there at 7.30am in the morning (11th June 2025) and still not collected at 12.00pm despite seeing several member of staff around. Very confusing how to reach the car park with bus/taxi restrictions lanes in the city and one way system. Website does not have any information on it. Clear instructions can be found in a piece of paper at the reception, by then it is too late as you have already arrived in the premises.

The hotel was spotless smelt beautiful .the staff were polite professional and friendly.our room was very clean spacious comfortable,it was warm.even down to the hairdryer brilliant .we ordered room service for breakfast food was outstanding fresh hot plenty of it and good variety.comfortable beds good lighting good pillows.everything to hand plenty of information about services provided.it was bank holiday weekend and we heard no noise coming from other rooms at all through the night.we can't wait to return. The gentleman at the desk very pleasant and our bags were kept safe in a locked room until our train was due.

Early check-in as our room was ready on arrival. Two double beds met our needs as I was sharing with my daughters. We didn't want to be in separate rooms as we were spending a few days together before Christmas. The room was clean and comfortable and had a great location to drop off shopping or just chill for a while before heading back out into the Christmas craziness. We booked, knowing there was no pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food. I have stayed at the Marriott a few times over the years and would definitely return again.

Nothing not to like.

Room and bathroom was spotless, bed was comfy. Was on 9th floor which I found very stuffy and warm even in December with the window open. There was a fan provided . Shower facilities really good with the works shampoo, conditioner, shower gel body lotion etc. would have liked a mirror by the dressing table but in general I was happy for the price. Location really good and would defo stay again,

Coffee and tea facilites poor. One sachet each of cheap coffee and two milks. Windows dirty and room very stuffy.

We are both getting on in years, and the bedroom only had one chair. On our way out for our evening meal about 4.30pm we requested another chair for the room. The receptionist who was not English seemed rather confused, has to go and ask someone else and advised us that it should be possible. This did not happen, no chair in our room when we returned. We were somewhat surprised as it’s a big hotel and we would have been happy with any sort of chair , as due to back issues we cannot sit comfortably on the bed to watch tv.

Staff allowed us to check in early we were also given a free room upgrade too which was a fantastic start, everything was extremely clean and modern, good beds and a comfy sleep. It was a good price in comparison to what other hotels that were offered that particular time. It's a spacious hotel and a standard 12am checkout was a big bonus compared to the usually ridiculous 10am checkouts. I will definitely consider coming back in future if ever I was to stay in Cardiff again. I would go as far as to say it was near perfect

There were no negatives with the hotel itself, one member of staff enjoyed repeating themself and got me flustered cutting across while I was talking, I do also appreciate eye contact when communicating with people, extremely minor gripe but I enjoyed myself even after a slightly frosty check in.

Fabulous central location in Cardiff ,Wonderful breakfast and fast ,attentiveness service ,lovely filter coffee. The fridge was a bonus as able to buy food from the indoor market& shops .I bought strawberries and stored in the fridge .large tv great to enjoy .It was good to have a telephone in room to connect with front desk especially ( for people without mobile phones )to be able to seek help if needed .Fab bathroom ,shower I liked the fixed glass shower screen attached to bath.

Took a while to understand the working of the air conditioning, room got very warm at night.
