Beautiful building, very clean. Beds comfortable. Every member of staff was very smiley and helpful. Attentive bar staff, even on Wales V England Saturday night! Cocktails are excellent. Central location yet extremely quiet, would definitely stay again.

Small thing, really, would have been nice to have a fridge in the room but only stayed one night, so not so much of a problem

Staf were all very friendly and helpful, room cleanliness was excellent, as was the bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities were excellent, and the bed was large and very comfy.

We asked to be moved from our first room because the was a smell of sewage / blocked drains in our bathroom which was very unpleasant. Our second room was fine, but we then lost the bath from the bathroom that we had with our first room. The cleaning staff manager was very helpful and inspected our first room, the reception staff moved us without any problems to our second room, still disappointing though that our room smelt so unpleasant.

A beautiful, stylish hotel with a lovely ambience throughout. The staff were helpful and friendly from checking in at reception through to leaving our room where Rose, a lovely lady from housekeeping, was keen to know if we enjoyed our stay and asked if we would stay here again, she wished my friend, also Rose, a happy birthday and hoped we had a safe journey home. This was a really personal touch and we will definitely be back!

We were expecting twin beds but had a double. Breakfast was a little disappointing for the prices charged. No choice of nice bread or rolls, just sliced white or brown loaf. Some components of the cooked option were lukewarm and the mushrooms were tinned. Most disappointing, especially for a Welsh hotel was the fact that they, sadly, ran out of Welsh cakes with more than an hour to go

The breakfast was superb with a really good range of food. Also the location was excellent.

We went to the hotel early (11am) to leave our bag at reception which was fine. We were offered a larger room but had to pay an additional £35 which we thought was a bit of a cheek !! - we declined the offer. We went back to reception at twenty to four (twenty minutes early) and were told the room wasn't ready. The man on reception was new to the hotel and had to ask a colleague over for advise. He eventually said that we could have the room now. Such fuss over a simple situation.

Great location in a fantastic hotel Great attentive staff, lovely bedrooms and very clean

Breakfast was a little disappointing, the buffet style was not looked after very well, the fried Eggs were like 10 rubber Frezzbies!!!! The Small cubed potatoes were very dry and very hard, the scrambled eggs were very overcooked I would get the waiting staff to check regularly the condition and levels of food left and inform the kitchen My only other gripe was the red and brown sauces in little jars, both very sweet and not nice on a savoury breakfast, but overall a good selection on the rest of the breakfast including continental 😀

Perfect location for us. Beautifully decorated. Staff were very good in particular Richard on reception who went above and beyond to arrange an early check in for us and Giovanna in the dining room. We also used the spa and the girls there were lovely too.

Breakfast buffet could have more options in the continental section, would love to have seen Greek yogurt, a variety of seeds and berries, better bread selection, maybe some nut butters, overnight oats etc. A fridge in our room would have been nice, was quite surprised there was no fridge in a room of this standard.

The property is very pleasant , beautiful architecture and design , The restaurant is very good the food is perfect and the waiters are very profesional

The POS did not work with Revolute, wise Expect a lot at reception Did not annouce a day before that the parking will be clise for next day from 12 to 21 so we have been trapped and need to book another night Even it has a spa the hotel clients have to pay for sauna and swiming pool (42gpb ) You have to expect in the line to have a table for the breakfast You have to stay in the line for taking a room ( too much time for a simple accomodation The receptionists are not proffesional

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff during a business trip, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel's location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of the city. The staff at the Parkgate Hotel were outstanding. From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable, especially during a busy work schedule. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The variety and quality of the food were impressive, with a wide selection of delicious options to suit all tastes. The breakfast service was efficient, and the dining area was clean and comfortable, providing a great start to each day before heading to meetings. Overall, I highly recommend the Parkgate Hotel for anyone visiting Cardiff, whether for business or leisure. The combination of its excellent location, superb staff, and delightful breakfast makes it a top choice for travelers.

My name on the TV that was a very lovely touch, I felt very important haha! Everything, so clean, so inspired, beautiful, made us feel very relaxed and boujee. We would love to come back and use the spa facilities as we booked for alternative reasons. The room was spotless, no damages, bottled water and nice amount of milk for (tea/coffee) provided.

Very minor things if I’m being hyper critical, 2 extra pillows would have been nice to be propped up in bed when watching the television. There was no bible in the draw which felt strange. The most important was the breakfast, we are not a fan of them capsule’s with the food in, there was enough staff walking about to have the Breakie cooked to order, i would commend you on the quality of the sausages though, they were outstanding.

Very convenient central location, and very comfortable bed. The staff were excellent. Room was roomy and impeccably clean. Peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

The infotainment in the rooms was poor. There was no way to connect personal devices to the TV to catch up on Wimbledon through streaming services. Not that we stayed to watch the telly, we spent nearly all our time out and about enjoying Cardiff, but it's something that was weird not to have in this day and age. Not a gripe, more of an opportunity to modernise. Would have liked a fridge for medications, we've become so used to staying in AirBnB's we just assumed there would be one in our hotel room. Our fault. We'll check more closely when we book our next stay away.
