The location to everything you want to see. Walking distance to shopping streets and restaurants and bars.Pool under renovation but arrangements made to use the Hiltons facilities which were nice and 2 minutes away.Each and every staff member greeted you with a smile and we’re extremely helpful.

This is not a reflection on the hotel but it needs to be known that the NCP parking across the street is terrible. Without any written notification apparently £100 is the max the machine will accept payment for. I was stuck for over an hour finding this important information out. The hotel staff helped me out and eventually I just had to drive out without paying and immediately go online and pay it to avoid a fine.First this is a ridiculously low amount at £ 29.99 a day-3days parking and your over there payment amount and secondly, now you cannot use the 25% discount code given by the hotel. This needs to be addressed and guests informed.

The room was clean and spacious. The swimming pool was busy but nice and entertaining for my child. The food was affordable.

The lid of my pet water bottle I purchased was missing so I couldn't take it with me but i needed water for my daughter. We were leaving the hotel fairly early in the morning to get to the airport. I reckoned I wouldn't have time to buy water or shops might not be open at that time. The hotel staff didn't allow me to take the bottle provided in the room and even thought I asked to purchase that bottle or any bottle, I was told no. I left the hotel without water which was odd. How come there is no bottle of water I could take with me ( even though I asked to purchase it)? Luckily, somewhere outside was open I had enough time to buy one out of the hotel.

The location close to the New Theatre, and to bus stops. The very comfortable bed. Food at dinner.

Being put on a table at breakfast which was as far as one could be away from the self service counter. I changed my seat at the table so l was facing the room rather than the wine shelves. The waitress assumed l was finished after my fruit course and while l was getting my hot breakfast started to clear my table. Generally service was very slow at both dinner and breakfast, my tea arrived at the latter after my hot course. As a solo traveller, l expect this but feel as if l'm not wanted. Happens a lot.

The layout and design aesthetically are beautiful the food is absolutely phenomenal the baked hake was possibly the best fish filet I’ve ever eaten. I also cannot eat spinach so the kitchen was kind enough to ask me if I would like a replacement for the spinach and I chose tender stem broccoli. I strongly recommend the room service the breakfast bag was also delicious and provided the perfect start to the day. There was a gym but I didn’t have energy to use it after the swim the pool area was very nice to use and has a very nice layout and a hot tub next to the pool. A steam room and showers and open area changing rooms with plenty of lockers. The superior room met all my expectations and is a good value for your money. It has a view although it faces the carpark across the road. The staff were all very helpful and very friendly and were kind enough to give us some extra teas and coffee for our room. The bed was very comfortable the duvet was more of a throw over but I just turned the room AC temperature up and I was very comfortable I slept for a long time close to 8 hours I normally only sleep 5 and a half hours. But the bed was so comfortable I slept very well. I will definitely return to stay here and strongly recommend the stay.

The only issue is there is no car park available for guests.

Very clean and modern. I witnessed a member of staff very patiently catering to a rather annoying American woman and the staff member remained composed and professional throughout. The rooms are big, the beds are super comfortable and the parking is literally opposite the hotel where you get a 25% discount. I always choose Plaza/Raddison hotels because you can be sure if a great stay.

My friend wanted to go outside for a cigarette and practically had to argue his way OUT through a bouncer, just to have a cigarette! I think that was a bit extreme…

The room was clean, welcoming and very large. Despite facing the road and a nightclub, external noise did not intrude into the room. A fridge containing sparkling water was a lovely surprise! Bathroom well laid out.

The fan in the bathroom was exceptionally loud, meaning that visits to the loo at night required a torch so as not to disrupt sleep any more than necessary. The TV didn't have ITV which meant that we were unable to watch the Six Nations match!!! Most annoying, the code to receive a discount in the car park was not accepted and we had to pay the full price of over 30 pounds for overnight parking. This took the gilt off the gingerbread following a lovely trip.

I have stayed here many times on visits to Cardiff. Lovely clean spacious rooms. Quiet at night. Lovely public area at reception. Fabulous position for shopping/sightseeing. Great bar and restaurant. I only had breakfast but the selection and quality of food is very good. Great pool.and spa facilities. Not far from Queen St Station and walkable from Cardiff Central if you haven't got too much luggage.

Steam room and hot tub were both out of action which was a real shame as it was one of the principal reasons for me choosing this hotel. Not the management's fault as things do break.

Lovely property, fab swimming pool, lots of choice at breakfast.

We arrived at around 6pm dropped in our bags to our room which was lovely. Went out into town for dinner. Arrived back around 8:45 the room next door had a group of boys obviously gathered in one room and had loud music playing. Contacted reception to ask if we could be moved as the music was loud. Advised that the duty manger would have word. We heard the phone ring in the next room and the music turned down for around 5 mins. By 9;15 the music was louder again and we had also heard another guest knocking their door and shouting to turn the noise down. Contacted reception again and we were then moved to another room. This was actioned fairly quickly so we had a peaceful rest of the evening and night.

The hotel was furnished to a very high standard with all carpets and fittings appearing as if the hotel had been recently upgraded. The hotel offered a wide selection of breakfast options of good quality. The pricing for a double room with breakfast for two was remarkably good value for a quality hotel at the centre of a capital city.

There were a few niggles with the breakfast experience. The plates for self service booked breakfast were cold; the decaf coffee was of poor quality; the single tea bag in the breakfast teapot for one was inadequate; the self service breakfast items were a tad on the cold side.

Room and hotel was excellent. Only one issue and that was the noise from several venues outside. We were in a room that faced the road and the music from those venues on the street went on until 4 oclock in the morning which kept us awake, breakfast was excellent and staff were excellent. Bar area was lovely but the food was not up to our expectations, nothing special and poor value for money, service not as good ,as the bar staff had to manage both the bar and the food area within the bar area
