Great location,easily walkable to town centre/Castle. Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast and lovely room. Chose hotel for location and pool facilities.

Booked this hotel as it had a pool, however on arrival learnt extra £10 per person to use facilities. Apparently mentioned somewhere in small print. In fairness to the hotel, gave us a voucher to use pool once during our stay. Wouldn't choose this hotel again; when booking a hotel with pool facilities for this price would expect use of facilities to be included.

Staff was very attentive and kind. Location is good: close to city centre and Queen Street train station (1 stop away from Cardiff Bay). The room was clean and equipped with hairdryer, iron, fridge and the bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower. Daily housekeeping if needed

The food in the restaurant is not recommended. The quality is very low and waiting times long. I would not book breakfast included, very little options and tasteless food. Spa facilities are £10 per entry so if you are going in 3 times a day (no matter how long you stay) you’d pay £30.

Quick checking , great location, as near tot own centre

Charging people 10£ to use the pool , even as a guest, it seems ridiculous.Someone from outside of the hotel pays the same amount to use the pool.If your stay is for 3 days , you pay 3 times to use the pool. This is the first time where I had to pay to use a hotel's facilities

Room was large and quality fittings

1 paying £10 to use the pool 2 booking a quiet room. Which wasn't quiet because it was next to the lift and the house travelled through the walls

Staff were great and apologetic for the room not being ready ( due to call centre not transferring that information) They organised so I could use the shower and get changed , looked after my baggage untill I could get into my room lovely ladies on the desk. Good breakfast choice and very tasty.

The lift was backing onto my room and woke me up frequently, the booking through booking . com was fkng awful , information wasn’t passed onto the hotel, I couldn’t contact the hotel directly to check and I could hardly understand the call centre ,please at least have people who can speak fluent English or better still have a UK call centre it’s put me off booking through booking .com in the future that’s for sure.

Loved how spacious the hotel room was and the options of both bath and shower. The swimming changing room facilities were pretty good and the morning breakfast which is all you can eat. The hotel generally was very eye appealing both outside and in for the communal/social areas and also the hotel staff adhered to my room requests for my anniversary celebrations very romantic! Check out time was generous at 12pm and room was undisturbed with the do not disturb sign at play. I did like the view from the hotel and the general location was between central town and then other amenities to the other side of cardiff.

Disliked pressing buttons for the lift and it was always the furthest lift away, the location was loud with both random car horn beeping and emergency services both through the day and night which of course can't be controlled, as for the facilities which were used only once was swarmed by children and people with shoes on poolside. My door key card also had to be reset once due to a battery issue on the door, the wifi was spotty sometimes good sometimes bad.

I booked a standard double room and requested an upper floor with shower facilities. Both of which were provided. My room was a good size with a huge bed. Separate bath and shower facilities. I was just off the main corridor and I found it very quiet. Nice view of the city. Housekeeping was amazing and nice to return in the evening to a made bed and tea and coffee supplies replenished.. The bar and restaurant was spacious with dining and lounge areas. I ate there on the first night and the grilled hake was of an extremely high standard. There was a also a facility in reception to purchase soft drinks, chocolate, crisps and nuts. With two alcoholic beers available. The hotel is 10 mins from Queens street station. 10 mins from the main shops ...tho there is an off licence and coffeeshop nearby. 20 minutes to the city centre and 20 minutes to Cardiff Castle. Bus stops nearby with regular bus service The spa facilities consist of a pool , jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms .. I liked the fact that the pool wasn't too deep only 1.25 metres. Separate changing facilities for male and female with lockers and towels provided, also showers with hair and body wash . There were a couple of hair dryers in ladies changing rooms. Treatment rooms available to book at extra cost . Gym was free

The spa facilities were an extra cost of £10 per use . I feel as a guest of the hotel this should be a perk not an extra with just the treatments coming at an additional cost. I arrived at the pool to find small children having a rather noisy swimming lesson. The hotel also offers membership and so there were lots of male non residents in the spa which might not suit other female guests. I did feel the steam room benches looked like they needed cleaning/replacing as lots of marks on them.

We hired a king suite. From our room we could see for miles.the room was incredible, 2 toilets, separate lounge with lots of seating. Mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks and kit kats. Up in our room there was no noise at all to disturb us. 2 tvs The toiletries in the bathrooms were the same as in the spa, they smelled divine. We booked breakfast, we had the full English, everything was hot and fresh.

The only slight problem was that our room wasn't ready at 3pm ,we had to wait for about 20 minutes. That slight delay meant I didn't have time to sort my hair. I was in Cardiff to see Marti Pellow, I'd paid extra for a meet and greet with Marti ,we had to be at the utilita arena between 4pm and 4.30pm at the latest and walked from the hotel. So time was important.

The room was lovely, nice and quiet location with a nice view. Lovely touches with the bath robes and slippers, complimentary tea, coffee and drinks in the fridge. Parking was also easy as used your private carpark.

Sadly we felt that the spa area let you down this year as it's s looking quite run down compared to our visit last year, there's peeling paint and rusty area's. The steam room was also looking very tired, last year it smelt of eucalyptus in there which was lovely this year it smelt of stagnant water. It also wasn't very relaxing in the pool with swimming lesson's being given .

from arrival to departure there were no issues, stayed in a Classic Triple Room on the 8th floor, Room was spacious with air con ( thankfully as the widows are sealed and the sun heats the room quickly ). Plenty of toiletries on hand in a large bathroom with walk in shower and bathtub. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was Excellent with lots to choose from for all tastes .. Would definitely stay again

Tv set was a bit dated and difficult to navigate the channels .. maybe an upgrade is due in the days of streaming and apps etc . and parking is premium price ( but it is secure and on site )
