The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Cardiff center as well as the train station, while the bus station is about a 20-minute walk away. The check-in process was simple and intuitive, even though I arrived outside business hours, after 5 PM. The room was a bit warmer than I would have liked (visiting in July), but a fan was provided which solved the problem. Everything was peaceful, quiet, and clean. The price-quality ratio is exceptional.

I understand the tap system is designed to save water and prevent unnecessary waste, but after pressing the button, water flows for literally only two seconds. This meant I couldn't wash both hands properly, nor wash both hands simultaneously (I had to hold the button with one hand while washing the other). I think the water flow should last at least a bit longer. This certainly isn't a major complaint and wouldn't prevent me from staying here again.

The location of this property was perfect. It was in walking distance of the central train station but far enough away that it was very quiet and peaceful. The views from my window of principality stadium were fantastic. The room itself was very well facilitated. I had everything I needed in the room. It was very spacious and warm enough for someone who's always cold as I am. The host, although I never met him during my stay, was on hand via message to answer any queries I had both leading up to and during my stay. The little tea and coffee station by the door was a lovely touch also.

Although my bed and linen were spotlessly clean, the window sill was very dusty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. My bathroom sink was severely cracked and although didn't affect its use, aesthetically lowered the overall look of the bathroom. The shower was fine in size for me but for anyone of a larger or taller build, it might be a bit cramped. Minor details really which didn't impact the overall pleasurable stay I had at this property.

The accommodation was within walking distance of the Castle which was great. The digital entry was easy and worked well. The room and bathroom was clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was TV, kettle (tea and coffee etc) an iron. Nice view of the river. The room exceeded my expectations. The 2 members of staff we saw in the morning were very pleasant and asked if we had had a good stay.

Google maps was playing up though so it took a while to find the accommodation. It might have helped to have a simple map to find it. I did try to get in contact when we couldn't find it but noticed there was only a messaging service, I didn't see a telephone number. But we found it as soon as I tried to message! I couldn't download the Goki app but the pin number worked well. I worried it might be a bit rowdy near a pub by the river but it was quiet at 11pm.

I had a great stay at St David’s Hotel in Paddington. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the station, which made getting around London really convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, offering everything I needed for a short stay. A special thanks to the receptionist, Zahid Hasan, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He made check-in smooth and went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed during my visit. His friendly attitude really added a personal touch to my experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a well-located and friendly place to stay in London.

Staff were friendly and helpful on the few times I had to call. Check in was really simple and well explained. We had all the information with plenty of notice. The room exceeded our expectations and was really clean and spacious (We had the 4 person room for just two of us though, so we were lucky!) Had a comfortable nights sleep. The location was amazing for an event at the Principality Stadium- literally just a few minutes walk away- Perfect!

Parking directly outside was shut off due to the event meaning closures in lots of roads- cant bel helped! We were able to find a space relatively nearby still and not get a ticket, and then just moved it to directly outside in the morning once the spaces had been reopened. Definitely worth doing your research beforehand though -just to save some stress! But no fault of WiseStay :)

We really loved the hotel we stayed at in Cardiff. The location was perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the city center, and it was very easy to get around. It was also within walking distance to the train station and the bus terminal. The area around the hotel felt very safe. When we stayed, we were impressed by the level of technology. Both the main entrance and the room door were opened with digital codes, which we absolutely loved. The room was very clean and well-organized. Essentials like water, tea, coffee, and creamer were provided. Separate towels were thoughtfully provided for hair, body, and hands. There was also a microwave in the common area, although we didn’t use it. Free Wi-Fi was available as well. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We spent a week in the UK, and this was by far the best hotel we stayed at. I would definitely love to stay here again.

The location is really good and if you follow the instructions for pre-checkin, check-in itself is seamless as you don't need to do anything and can just open main door and door of the room through an app. We specifically loved that feature as you don't need to worry about keys at all. Wi-fi was great, room was always toasty, a plus as we got -2 temperatures while in Cardiff.

Shower system needs to be revised. It took forever for the water to warm up and it didn't last long, it was lukewarm at best and eventually got cold again (that being mentioned our showers were no longer than 10 minutes).

The location was convenient and the neighbourhood was nice. The accommodation was like back to a tidy student en-suite.

It’s a bit unprofessional that the staff came to knock the door three times in the last several minutes before the check-out time (10am) to check on us. We planned to check out at 10am, we did it, and we didn’t expect any knock-knock before 10am. It would be more reasonable to wait until 10:01 to start to knock the door if the staff really want the guest(s) to check out as soon as they can.

Great placement, kettle in the room with Tea and Coffee. Bed was comfortable.

The heat in the room was crazy, far too hot , no radiators were on either. We had the fan on and window open . Barely slept due to the heat sadly. Didn't seem to have hot water from the bathroom tap either? I might not have been patient enough, but I had held the push tap down for a fair while before giving up and settling for tepid water. Never tried the shower out to comment on that water. Overall, the room was great and I would go back, if it wasn't so hot in the room.

All I needed was a bed for the night as I was in Cardiff for a concert. I got a small but clean, warm room and my own clean mini-bathroom with the tiniest sink a great shower, and there was also a hairdryer. I slept great, loved the water view, the road was quiet, location felt safe.

Unfortunately the doors are fitted with a spring mechanism that makes them slam super-noisily if not held while closing. So if someone's not careful (which applies to lots of people nowadays) and comes back in the middle of the night and is on the same floor, the jumpscare is very likely.
