Exceptional breakfast (but not cheap), nice room - think we had one of the cheaper rooms but had everything we needed and was a nice room. No view for us but would be good (the sea!) if you pay extra for it. Good location - Ventnor is great place with plenty of nice places to eat / drink and a nice walk down the coast. (steep hill down to the sea front)
Nothing major to complain about but poss because we were just before the start of the main season ... No option to book dinner. It may simply have been because we booked the hotel quite late - they were full (on Tues & Wed) and they didnt have the restaurant open on Monday (it was late March). There was a great choice in the town, so we were quite happy. We weren't sure about the hotel bar but it was never mentioned at check in and we didnt feel it would be open for us so we didnt use it.

The hotel served a very good breakfast and there was a very good view from the room. Car parking was available up a narrow road at the side of the hotel, but care was needed as access was shared with Royal Mail delivery office. A torch or phone with light recommended after dark.
Our room was at top of building, so there were a lot of stairs to climb. Bathroom door did not stay closed except when it was locked from the inside. There was a strong south-east wind during our stay and I had to wedge door in partly open position to prevent it rattling during the night. I reported this to reception, so hopefully it will be fixed.

A very comfortable, small hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is great, as are the amenities in the room. Very clean and homely overall.
The wifi was a little slow (I had to work a little during my stay) and decour was fairly worn. It was a shame not to be able to have food there beyond dinner and have the bar open for longer - but it’s clearly a small hotel with a small staff. None of this impacted the stay but would have been nice to have!

Big bedroom, big bathroom (with 2 windows !) and a big bed. Balcony was great but weather not so great. Breakfast was superb, the choice fantastic, real kippers, eggs benedict and all the usual standards, all cooked to perfection. Hot water almost instant and unlimited. The location is fine for restaurants and for walking in a very scenic area. Very friendly staff. We would stay there again.
Try as I might nothing springs to mind and petty nit-picking would not be appropriate. Shame about the weather; mid July and little sun

A very spacious and comfortable room with wide balcony with table and chairs overlooking the sea and small harbour. As usual with many British seaside hotels the furniture / bathroom fittings were perhaps a little 'tired' but nothing out of the ordinary and perfectly acceptable. An unusually excellent shower. The food in the restaurant was superb and if staying be sure to book a table for dinner - we phoned ahead but only got an early booking as it was full (Saturday). Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. The staff were delightful. Ventnor is a fine and quite eccentric place with seemingly a lot of (benign) witchcraft going on. We arrived during The Ventnor Fringe, attended a hilarious comedy show and paid a visit to the beautiful Botanical Gardens - highly recommended.
Pretty high end price and perhaps the standard of the surroundings did not quite match up (but it was a July Saturday so probably top price)

Beautiful boutique hotel. Staff were so caring and lovely. Breakfast was amazing and the evening cocktails exceeded our expectations. Our room had the best view and location was perfect, exactly what we were looking for to rest. The room although beautiful, it is quite old and tired. Very clean and towels and linen so soft and smelling amazing. Thank you to the staff and the lady in the reception for being so kind and caring.
The room is old and tired. It would look stunning if it goes through some light touch decorating/refurbishing process.

Almost everything regarding our stay was wonderful and as we expected; the staff were friendly, the room was clean, comfortable and came with a lovely view, the breakfast was a delight. We would love to come and stay again, but only when the summer season is well and truly underway.
The only downside was that our stay had a distinct 'out of season' feel to it, which is strange, given that we are in mid-late April now. We had not planned on having dinner at the hotel, but were informed upon check-in that the restaurant would not be open for dinner. We did not know this in advance and could potentially have left us with a bit of a problem. Having returned from dinner elsewhere later that evening, the hotel felt rather deserted. Other than the lady at the check-in desk, we did not see any other guests or hotel staff at all, until the next morning during breakfast.

Clean linen Molten brown toiletries and well appointed rooms with a large shower. The view all around is great and my view towards the mountains was beautiful. 10/10 would stay again. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time for their breakfast spread due to an early start. The location is great and the beach is serene. Highly recommended. You get Nespresso coffee machine in the room and had 4 complimentary coffee pods. Wonderful!

Nice view, bright room, perfect location, very quiet. Stuff member who checked us in, wry professional and lovely lady.
Mattress had a dip on one side, didn’t have any sleep. Breakfast service very alive but food was delicious. Cleanliness could be better, lampshade was very dusty what was right in front of you when you lay down on your bed. Bathroom didn’t feel clean, marks on panel around toilet, shower room with build up limescale, bath tub water temperature was keep changing from very hot to cold

We had a pleasant stay with a nice view of the sea. Breakfast was delicious. The bath perfect. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. A little disappointed that the restaurant advertised was not open especially since 75% of restaurants in the area were also closed bizarrely on a Wednesday and in the Easter holidays.
