Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Spacious room, large bed, good bathroom, lovely views and very clean. Pleasant restaurant and bar area, good food.
An old hotel in the process of being refurbished, work is continuing on the outside although most internal areas are complete, just a few areas that still need attention. Limited parking even though advertised with parking.

The location was a super spot room fantastic steak was lovely But had to pay £5.00 for chips Strange
Having paid 1230.00 for 4 nights To be told it wasn’t a hot breakfast which doesn’t show on Site we had to pay 10 pounds each for breakfast also 12.50 for parking which I would have thought it comes with room at over 300 per night We would have eaten there every night but it when you add it all up it was cheaper to eat out For less

Quality of the rooms was excellent and the sea view was fabulous. Continentle breakfast offered a good selection and all items continually being replenished
The daily question "Do you want to upgrade to a cooked breakfast" seemed a bit poor. To have cooked incurred a £10 additional cost. This seems very petty when paying £300 for a room. Surely incorporate the £10 in the room rate. Car parking was OK as long as you booked in advance. Only spaces for around 10 or 12 cars so would have had to park in the public car park

Most of the great Hotels we stumble across have one thing in common, the location and more specifically, the view and this one has both. Overlooking Fowey nestled on the hillside, it looks newly refurbished yet still has charm like its shiny old lift to haul your luggage with its rickety old doors. The roads to this place are narrow and car parking is at a premium but somehow it all adds to its charm and character. We arrived mid afternoon yet were still able to access the lunch menu - where other hotels might make too late type noises this one was happy to please. The service wasn’t immediate because clearly everything is cooked fresh and to order. Lovely Pate, perfectly cooked chicken with crispy well seasoned potatoes, what’s not to like? You can walk from here down to the waters edge with its chic restaurants and lighthouse flavoured gift shops, Fowey is beautiful. The bedroom was clean well furnished and spacious, enough room for us to open up two suit cases and the bathroom had a double sink bath and shower, all of which we used. We liked the feel of this Hotel so much that we will return and we might even discover some other locations (something we’ve never done before). So what’s not to like about this place, I’m struggling a little but there was an IT problem on check-in which slowed up the process for 15 minutes and an empty water bottle in our room (which was quickly replaced). But otherwise its tastefully decorated walls and carefully prepared food (especially breakfast) are a joy.

The hotel was what we hoped it would be: beautiful outlook from the bar and dining area, nice gardens and terrace were a bonus when sunny. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and the choice at breakfast was exceptional. The fact the hotel had parking was important to us, even though we had to pay a daily fee it was worth peace of mind on holiday in such a busy place. The hotel's location was excellent and the reason we chose it.
There was nothing we didn't like. If a room with a sea view had been available that would have been the cherry on the cake.

The hotel has beautiful rooms. Nice and very clean bathroom with good water pressure. The hotel restaurant food was good quality and tasted good too. Walking distance to waterfront, shops. Parking available by reservation.
My king bed had a sunken spot. I informed the front desk who said they would request housekeeping to turn the mattress. No apology whatsoever for this was made. The mattress was not turned and i had to sleep in the sunken area for the 2 night stay. I think the hotel needs to change its mattresses. I did not expect this type of mattress for this category of hotel and pricing

Lovely hotel with lots of character but fairly well kept and located right by the water with stunning views. Staff were all really friendly throughout our stay and happy to say hello. We stayed here on our mini-moon after getting married and staff had left a card and made the experience feel personal.
There was a leak from the window in our room on the first night and woke us up early in the morning. However staff were accommodating and found us a new room and helped us move the next day as well as provide some compensation so although a bit of a bump it was short lived! It would have been good to have parking included in price of room given the price of room we booked and the limited parking in the town.

Our visit to Fowey was very special. Not only was the hotel located in a prized position with extraordinary views across the harbour, we loved the atmosphere of the reception area, the gardens and our room on the top floor (room 305) with a bath. The bed was the best. The breakfast staff were excellent as was the continental offerings with a glorious aspect over the water. As a wild swimmer, the location to the local summing spot was directly below the hotel. Parking is not a problem as we found lots of available spaces in the street directly above the hotel which was reached by a short path.
The bath was a bit tricky to operate. Instructions on how to juggle taps could be useful for future guests along with some details about local highlights such as Readymoney Cove or restaurants to visit. Also, The reception staff were a little despondent.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are all efficient, friendly and lovely to be around.
The only thing I would say is that the bar area is very small, and with outsiders also using it, there was often nowhere for us to sit and just have a drink or talk or read. We had to go out and try and find somewhere else which wasn’t ideal, or stay in our room. Given that there is a large function room unused for a lot of the time, more communal space would be good.

Staff happy and helpful. lovely views. food was good lots of choices for breakfast but not much choice for me as I am dairy free if I did not have a cooked breakfast could do with packs of margarine and a butter free pastry and more jams. I was given margarine when I asked for it and oat milk was available.
room 106 Bathroom, bathrobes were clean but were ruff and thread bare. Sink tap needs replacing stained and tarnished. shower plug hole cover broken. The radiator in bedroom was very lowed the temperature control was broken we were unable to turn it off and had to sleep with the window open. Reported it to front desk. the control was put back on as it had come off this fell off when we tried to turn it down. It was then turned off completely. There is limited places to sit and relax inside for the number of rooms.
