The Claremont was spotlessly clean . Our room was very comfortable Staff were friendly and the lady who served breakfast “Di” was exceptional

It was a shame that a lot of the restaurants were shut over New Year and the pubs were rammed so eating out was a bit of a battle Plus personally the stairs leading up to and in the hotel were not good for me as I am currently waiting for a hip replacement and our room was on the 2nd floor We knew there was no lift before we arrived but I hadn’t envisaged just how many steps we would have to negotiate

The hotel was absolutely exceptional. The communalareaswere delightfully decorated to a very high standard. There was an ‘Honesry bar’ very reasonably priced with a large select-selection of of wines, beers, lagers and spirits to which you could help yourself and just write down what you had taken. The reception staff were most welcoming and the waitress for breakfast was so friendly and accommodating. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. In fact I looked around to try to find something I could criticise, but I couldn’t find anything at all

The choices for Breakfast were excellent as was the food. Di who managed the dining room for breakfast was superb and made the whole experience something to look forward to. Those two, Chef and Di are outstanding!

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Polperro is lovely and the local people are very nice but the places available to eat in the evening let the overall attraction of Polperro down . I tried the Blue Peter, the three Pilchards and the Ship. I couldn't recommend any of them. There was the Props but it was fully booked. The Blue Peter was easily the worst! There are some old photographs and a handwritten frame important to the local history on the wall opposite to the kitchen in the arts centre that need rescue. I spoke to Di about them. She was very interested and also concerned to protect them.

Great location in a lovely village. On site secure parking was a bonus although navigating the narrow road could be a challenge when meeting other vehicles coming in the opposite direction. Lovely breakfast with a varied option and good selection to suite everyone. Room was small and compact but very clean with a fridge and nice selection of teas, coffee and biscuits. Friendly staff who would give you the best advice on where and what to do around the area.

Nothing not to like about this hotel.

We booked for 1 night stayed for 2. Firstly in room 10 a bright, comfortable double, very cosy with a cute garden stairs view. Then we were lucky to get an extra night in room 2, a king village facing room. Both rooms were perfect. Breakfast with Di on outside terrace... fab. Honesty bar great idea perfectly laid out for a relaxed drink on the terrace. Becky was so friendly and professional too. Di & Becky made our stay perfect.

It was clean, well maintained, and compact. There was fresh milk daily, mini fridge for your convenience. Conveniently located in the village, with easy access to pubs restaurant and the harbour. Breakfast is great, for a small hotel the choice and quality were great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about points of interest. I highly recommend Claremont Hotel.

No evening meal. Based on breakfast, I would love to dine at the hotel. However you are spoilt for choice in the village for a place to eat.

We had a very warm welcome and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great and having the car park was very convenient. The breakfasts were excellent, with a good choice available. The lounge was lovely and the honesty bar was a nice touch, as was the complimentary coffee / tea in the lounge area

Our room was smaller than I expected and dark as it backed onto the steep bank behind the hotel. The front facing rooms will probably be lighter. However, having the lounge available to sit and read meant that this wasn’t a big problem

Everything! This hotel is an absolute gem! Parking out the front is a godsend. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are another level of friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated the rooms are lush, the bed is comfy. The village is the most beautiful with the most friendly locals. The honesty bar was such a delightful touch. Breakfast was delicious, I was greeted every morning so warmly and personally that I felt valued. Honestly can't wait to come back.

There was absolutely no negatives during this stay. I can't wait to come back!

The location was fantastic. Walking distance to harbour and coastal path. Pubs for dinner also within walking distance. Loved having a car park making the visit stress free. Without the car park it would be more difficult to visit given the narrow streets and limited access to parking. Bed was very comfortable. Room warm modern light and clean. Unlimited access to tea and coffee whenever you want in lounge. Breakfast was delicious and our son is an executive chef so know what good food tastes like. Really friendly and hospitable owner. Looking for any excuse to return.

Location is perfect, breakfast was delicious all the staff we met were friendly and just nice all day every day, our room was lovely with a view of the village the decor was lovely and spotless as was the whole hotel. What made the hotel special was its own private parking opposite the hotel “rarely available in Polperro. And it’s own sun terrace to relax with a coffee or glass of wine all available in the hotels honesty bar..
