Penwyn B&B had an amazing view! The view itself was worth all the money and time that it took to get there! Looe was a cute fishing town and a little rough around the edges. All the people were really kind and helpful, as was our host Simon. He helped us navigate our way with our large rental car. The roads were super tight and narrow! Our car could have fit in the parking spot next to the B&B but we decided to leave it in a bigger area up the hill. We had a lovely time in Looe and had amazing breakfasts every morning. We swam in the sea and ate fish&chips and visited many towns like Polperro and St. Ives. Lantic Bay beach was our highlight from all the places next to Looe!

The room was a little humid and chilly during our stay because of the rainy days but we slept really well!

The area is beautiful and views amazing. The B&B was comfortable and clean. Simon, the owner, was helpful, polite, and welcoming.

You need to adapt to the environment, up and down slopes, expensive prices for foods and gifts in the area. Pubs in the location are accommodating, but not many rear gardens or outside drinking areas. Expect the seagulls to be very active and disruptive. They love pastes and ice creams.

absolutely everything - great B&B. Good directions to find the house and car parking outside as advertised. Lovely location, fantastic view, we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. 2 chairs was fantastic and so grateful so we could both sit down (so often double bedrooms have just 1 chair and no idea why) 2 fluffy towels each, a fridge with 2 bottles of water, milk jug and flapjacks left too along with tea and coffee. There was a mirror next to the electric point (again this is so often missing) toiletries, wardrobe with a good amount of hangers. Simon was a very friendly and helpful host. Lovely breakfast and good attention to no cross contamination for gluten free. And again I must mention the location and the great view over Looe harbour, stunning. We loved the stay and will certainly return when next in Looe. Everything had been thought of so very well to make it a great stay.

not a single thing

We had a wonderful time, The views and location were stunning. Simon met us when we arrived and was very welcoming ( he had also left us some tasty flapjacks),, he was going away then and so we were looked after by Oksana, who was so friendly and helpful, and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. The room was clean and cosy, with everything you could ask for, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We had parking right outside the house, and despite the street being very narrow and steep, my partner was able to get his van there and parked. It felt like a real home from home, and we were sad to leave.

The only negative part was having to leave.

The location is great being just a few metres from the centre of Looe with a range of places to eat to suit all tastes and budgets. The room was comfortable and a magnificent view. It was not warm enough to sit on the balcony but I can imagine doing that on a summer evening. The bed was comfortable. Clearly a lot of thought had been put into ensuring guests stays were enjoyable. The information folder listing numbers of local restaurants was useful. The flap Jack's were a delicious welcome surprise on our arrival. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The pre-arrival information was really useful. There is parking outside the house. The host, Simon, was friendly and helpful. I recommend people stay at Penwyn.

The property is situated on a narrow hill. Arriving in the dark made it feel even narrower. However watching a transit van go up and down the hill proved it was wider than it initially felt. Cornwall is full of narrow lanes! The walk back to Penwyn is via a very steep hill - but this helps walk off the big breakfast.

The view from the room was exceptional covering the estuary and harbour area. We spent some relaxing time watching the world go by. The breakfast was freshly made by Simon the host. The location was perfect to be able to walk in to the centre of Looe.

The parking outside was limited but alternative parking a few minutes away was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable but a standard double which was a bit small for us but the room could easily take a King which would afford more comfort.

This place is stunning, a real gem in Looe. We stayed in the room with the balcony & it's perfect. The location & views are amazing.. The beds are comfy, shower is hot, fridge to keep milk cold, & breakfast is cooked to order. Simon is great & cakes in the room on arrival are fab! What's not to love? This is our second visit & will be back!

Nothing apart from the walk back up the hill after a pasty is a challenge!

We loved everything! Simon was a wonderful host, cooked a fab bfast, couldn't ask for more, such a wonderful, immaculate room with amazing views and best location, few mins walk to shops, restaurants and water sports, it is on a narrow road on a hill which is why the view is spectacular, I have a big car and parked with no problem at all in one of the two spaces available right outside the property. I would definitely recommend penwyn and will definitely go back for another visit in the future, thanks for a beautiful weekend!

Nothing at all to not like, everything spot on and perfect!

Lovely room with balcony giving superb views over Looe and the river. Bed comfortable and all facilities in the room as expected plus free flapjack ! Host a lovely guy, welcoming but unobtrusive. Excellent communication prior to arrival regarding directions, parking, local restaurants. Breakfast superb and other options provided if required Location just 100 metres from the town centre but in a quiet spot. Steep hill to the property might be an issue for some

I’ve been visiting Looe for many years and I have to say this is by far the best B&B that I have stayed in. Simon was a great guy very helpful even carried our bags to the car at the end of our stay nothing was too much trouble. He cooked an amazing breakfast and also left homemade flapjacks in our room on arrival lovely touch. I wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely return on my next visit to Looe. Everything was 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.
