We liked everything! We upgraded our room and then the hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to one of their beautiful balcony rooms. It was all immaculately clean and had an amazing harbour view. Their roof terrace is a lovely place to have a drink in the sunshine and if it rains they can cover it over. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. All the staff were really friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent.

I actually cannot think of anything. If I have to say anything it would be about the parking as it is a little walk away however you can stop outside the hotel to drop bags off.

The whole place was very clean, the food was a very high quality, the staff friendly and helpful. It smelt very nice at the reception and bar area. Facilities were excellent for getting the baby buggy into the hotel and I think the same would be said for disabled people. Arrival by car was actually made very easy despite there being no parking just drop off. The car parks were very close by and easy to find. The bedrooms & beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet at night.

I’m not sure what could be done better. We were delighted with the place. My only gripe would be the cost of parking, and that has nothing to do with the hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff are very friendly we stayed in a room at the rear of the property it was clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of drawers to use and a fan. The shower room was a little small but clean. The property has some bigger rooms on the front with balcony overlooking the estuary and town. The hotel hosts coach tours so it can be very busy in the morning from 7 but when we visited the restaurant at 9 it was quiet and had a good choice on the hot menu and a table overlooking the estuary. Had one evening meal in the bistro bar which was very nice food and again quieter than the restaurant. I also spent an afternoon on the sun terrace which was relaxing. Looe is a working port nice choice of bars/restaurants. Plenty of places to walk and a lovely beach. We would definitely revisit.Portbyhan

Shower was a little small but clean

From arrival to departure, staff were welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast with friendly attentive staff. Lovely view of the Harbour on a very wet and windy morning! We were lucky with being able to park for free for the majority of our stay in the on street parking right outside. Paid parking also conveniently available if necessary. We are relatively local anyway, but the Hotel location would be perfect for exploring Looe and surrounding area. These things happen, but unfortunately the lift was temporarily out of action whilst we were there. However, all the staff from Reception to Cleaning, and including the Chef we met in the corridor, were quick to offer assistance with our luggage.

The staff are an asset to the business Nothing is to much trouble they are aware of your needs as they see the situation and address them Chef cooked the best English breakfast I have eaten in a restaurant

Room 309 is far to hot and not possible to make cooler At 6.30am the appliance for the kitch n stiles up very noisy and makes the light flicker It also happens at 9.40 pm when it is turned off I would return to this hotel but not this room

Excellent location. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel was very comfortable and the breakfast very good. I very much enjoyed it. However, the bedroom was appalling, especially for the cost of £185 a night. It was at the back of the hotel, the windows were frosted glass and opened only slightly. It was over a very noisy plant room which, together with the extractor farm in the shower room, caused the whole bedroom to reverberate. The room was singularly unpleasant. This was a great pity as other aspects of the hotel were very good.

Hotel location is perfect right next to the river, restaurant and bars are elevated and overlook the river and east Looe. Friendly staff. Good inclusive breakfast options. A few minutes walk over the bridge to the shops, pubs and restaurants of East Looe

Really liked the hotel, unfortunately due to some road closures in Looe getting to the mill pool parking is a bit of a challenge! It's s not the hotels fault and just a bit of a temporary inconvenience that will be fixed when they road works are complete

The property was lovely and clean and nicely decorated. Location was great. All staff that we met were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and the evening meals were delicious.

Our only negative was the room we had was small and dark, but we booked late and the hotel was busy so there was not much choice. We would definitely book a room with a view next time.

I only stayed one night and did not spend much time in the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, a little basic, but quite modern. I have marked cleanliness down slightly as there was a leak from the toilet, leaving a little pool of water around the base of the toilet. No parking at the hotel, but there is some parking virtually in front of the hotel and a larger car park 300 yards away. Good breakfast and attentive staff.

Amazing location, right next to the harbour. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great. Restaurant and lounge areas overlooked the harbour. Very nice.

Very poor sleep. The bed was a small double, and so uncomfortable. We were in a room on the top floor. It was very small. The en-suite was so tiny it had a sliding door to enter, and there was no room to move when you get out of shower. Expensive for what you get. If we stayed again we would have to pay to upgrade to superior room for comfort.
