Lovely breakfast room adjacent to the bar area. My friend wanted Greek Yoghurt with fruit. But on our first morning there was no Greek Yoghurt. The menu states that you are welcome to ask for variants from the standard breakfast menu. My friend asked if the hotel could get Greek Yoghurt in. They did the next morning and she was able to enjoy what she really likes for the rest of her stay! Excellent service and true to their word! Excellent bed! Clean! A little haven of comfort right next to St Austell!

So minor. But worth mentioning maybe? A mini fridge would be nice. Only because it would be nice to keep drinks cold. Even for the bedside water the staff provide during your stay.

Had an amazing stay at Britannia Inn, we were very impressed at the large room (stayed in Tywardreath) and the shower was really good! The hotel itself was lovely, with lots of places to sit and have a drink and chill out. We ate in the hotel twice, once in the lounge bar and once in the undercover outdoor terrace with friends. The food was amazing both times and service was brilliant! Compliments to all of the staff throughout our 3 night stay as they were all very friendly and so helpful. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay near Carlyon bay.

Excellent room - very spacious. Non slip bath mat provided for the shower. Lovely big garden with plenty of seating. Easy parking. Nice breakfasts. Excellent staff. Although the hotel wasn’t in the town, it gave easy driving access to the main attractions of Cornwall such as the Eden Project, Fowey and Padstow. There were a couple of bars plus the Waves restaurant and Breakfast room. We really enjoyed the sharing platter on a couple of evenings.

Certain amount of road noise from about 5am. We understand our room was in the listed part of the building so no double glazing.

The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard, the quality of the sheets towels etc is really good, the bathroom was kitted out beautifully! Double shower with plenty of hot water ! Very tastefully decorated with great fitting. Food super… great value and very well presented. We visited for a family occasion that was held in the restaurant on Wednesday … wonderful menu. 3 courses provided for us all ( 20 family members) celebrating my godmothers 65th wedding anniversary. Thank you so very much for making every thing so wonderful and memorable !! See you again for the next wedding anniversary or we have a big birthday next year 🥰🥰🥰 thank you very much

Hotel was clean, and the room was large for our travel cot, and staff were extremely helpful especially helping us get our bags up the stairs with a 3 month old. Shower is amazing also in the room. It was near to where we needed to be, so location is good.

My only reservations were that the music was extremely loud, we were made aware Thurs night of functions and arrived Friday. With the baby, we would have tried to find a place elsewhere if we had known this but we were made aware after paying on booking.com. The music did stop at 11pm as promised but it was just an annoyance trying to settle a baby. We are fine with it but would have liked to know further in advance as I'm sure the functions would have been booked for a while. Food is slightly over priced in places.. £17 for a jacket potato is an awful lot of money.

This was a very last minute booking following my parents and sister being let down by another accommodation provider and having no where to stay at 5pm in the evening. I booked online and then contacted the hotel to let them know when they were coming, somewhat stressed (!!) and they helped arrange putting wine in the room for their arrival. The hotel was already making the room up for them. They were made very welcome by lovely staff and a very unfortunate situation was made far better - thank you very much.

Lovely family run Inn. Beautiful large room facing out to the road but we didn’t hear any traffic from the road or below in the pub. All staff friendly and helpful. Bar, restaurant and breakfast room all furnished to a very high standard and the extensive outside garden area was very nice too. Evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. Loads of free parking was a big plus. We were able to walk to Charlestown in about 45 minutes which was the main reason for our stay. We would love to return if in the area.

The room was lovely, spacious, stylish, and very clean. Reception staff greeted us in a professional but very friendly manner and could not have been more helpful. The restaurant food and service were some of the best we have had, my husband particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Every local we spoke to had something good to say about The Britania or the Brit as they called it. Also if you enjoy shopping there is a huge indoor market just a stones throw from the property.

We could hear the traffic going past the hotel as it is by a road but it didnt keep either of us awake.

The deco, and friendly meet and greet, the staff were all super efficient and friendly. Our rooms was super, very clean, loved the air con. It was quiet in an evening, wonderful menu selection . And very very tasty.

We loved our break, if I had to be picky and find a negative the only one I could think of is it was 2 mattress pushed together and the joint was little uncomfortable, so probably a mattress topper. By I stress this did not effect our holiday what so ever

We liked everything! Rooms, the Inn in general, garden area, play area and food. We were there for a party held in the field, the Inn came over well online, so we booked. This venue beats many four star hotels I have stayed in, chains and independents. We would all happily stay here again. The hotel caters for all age groups and the staff were exceptionally helpful with my grandchildren. For example, we asked if they could do beans on toast for my 18month granddaughter, both items are on the kids menu, but not together. They had no problem at all, so many hotels refuse requests like this.
