Excellent room - very spacious. Non slip bath mat provided for the shower. Lovely big garden with plenty of seating. Easy parking. Nice breakfasts. Excellent staff. Although the hotel wasn’t in the town, it gave easy driving access to the main attractions of Cornwall such as the Eden Project, Fowey and Padstow. There were a couple of bars plus the Waves restaurant and Breakfast room. We really enjoyed the sharing platter on a couple of evenings.

Certain amount of road noise from about 5am. We understand our room was in the listed part of the building so no double glazing.

The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard, the quality of the sheets towels etc is really good, the bathroom was kitted out beautifully! Double shower with plenty of hot water ! Very tastefully decorated with great fitting. Food super… great value and very well presented. We visited for a family occasion that was held in the restaurant on Wednesday … wonderful menu. 3 courses provided for us all ( 20 family members) celebrating my godmothers 65th wedding anniversary. Thank you so very much for making every thing so wonderful and memorable !! See you again for the next wedding anniversary or we have a big birthday next year 🥰🥰🥰 thank you very much

Hotel was clean, and the room was large for our travel cot, and staff were extremely helpful especially helping us get our bags up the stairs with a 3 month old. Shower is amazing also in the room. It was near to where we needed to be, so location is good.

My only reservations were that the music was extremely loud, we were made aware Thurs night of functions and arrived Friday. With the baby, we would have tried to find a place elsewhere if we had known this but we were made aware after paying on booking.com. The music did stop at 11pm as promised but it was just an annoyance trying to settle a baby. We are fine with it but would have liked to know further in advance as I'm sure the functions would have been booked for a while. Food is slightly over priced in places.. £17 for a jacket potato is an awful lot of money.

The room was lovely, spacious, stylish, and very clean. Reception staff greeted us in a professional but very friendly manner and could not have been more helpful. The restaurant food and service were some of the best we have had, my husband particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Every local we spoke to had something good to say about The Britania or the Brit as they called it. Also if you enjoy shopping there is a huge indoor market just a stones throw from the property.

We could hear the traffic going past the hotel as it is by a road but it didnt keep either of us awake.

We liked everything! Rooms, the Inn in general, garden area, play area and food. We were there for a party held in the field, the Inn came over well online, so we booked. This venue beats many four star hotels I have stayed in, chains and independents. We would all happily stay here again. The hotel caters for all age groups and the staff were exceptionally helpful with my grandchildren. For example, we asked if they could do beans on toast for my 18month granddaughter, both items are on the kids menu, but not together. They had no problem at all, so many hotels refuse requests like this.

We have stayed here before and the good things are still good. Clean, comfy, large rooms. Good shower. Bar downstairs has an excellent choice and the breakfast was lovely. Large portions. Location good for us, and would stay again but we need to make sure we request the same room.

Noise from road outside was too much for us on the first night. Could not sleep at all. Luckily Stacey was really helpful and we changed to another which we had stayed in before which was ideal. Unless you are hard of hearing then avoid the Crinnis room.

Hotel lovely and staff very friendly and very efficient .. the restaurant runs like clockwork food very good portions , hot, and served quickly, waiting staff very quick and helpful…one girl in particular Mia was very good… Michelle in reception was very friendly when we arrived, and very informative in places to visit etc .was a nice touch .. the room was spacious with a lovely bed and bathroom en-suite .. very clean .. it was our anniversary and they made sure the flowers my hubby had delivered were taken and placed in a case in the room with chocolates and a card from the hotel team as well … would recommend this place highly .. the outdoor space gardens etc are lovely .. even had a bouncy castle and park for kids ..overall a beautiful place to stay with a beach within 15 mins walking distance .. entertainment just outside crazy golf etc food huts and a couple of shops ( the range ) etc a lovely place to stay and see nearby places such as Mevagissey and Charlestown ..

The meals were fab of an evening and staff also .. sadly the first morning breakfast didn’t seem the same standard, and the waiting staff, just didn’t have the same buzz as the evening staff.. but this would not put us off returning ..

- We've been to two rooms, the small one was perfect; the big one was really spacious but there was something weird with the floor that caused all the furniture to move when walking ;) - There was a weird fan-like sound outside all the time, but it stopped in the evening and truthfully - wasn't that annoying

That part of the world is incredibly...rural? Not much going on, shops mostly closed etc. But for that area, the location of the hotel is pretty good. Staff are really nice, restaurant delicious etc. Also, I really appreciated that the good you get isn't basically a sample, but a proper portion that's going to fill you.

Would've been nice to have a fridge. Also didn't have any slippers or toothbrush available, though you can get them at the store next to the hotel.

Have been staying at the Britannia Inn on a few occasions, and love coming back. The rooms feel cosy and homely, the restaurant is lovely and the food is gorgeous, the bar is the perfect place to wind down from a busy day; that's if you don't want to make use of the room service. The staff are all super friendly, and the whole place is exceptionally clean! Literally can not fault any of it! Looking forward to sitting in their beer garden during the summer months.
