It’s a nice location and comfy and welcoming with a nice garden area. Shame it rained. The water was hot and the shower was good. We enjoyed an evening meal, fish & Chips were lovely and a massive portion and breakfast was good.

As we booked a basic room, it was quite a distance and up a steep flight of stairs. But we managed for 1 night and I’m sure as my husband has mobility issues, if we had asked, they would have tried to give us a more accessible room. As it was a loft room, that meant a very small window so the room could be a little dark and not a massive choice for the continental breakfast.

The Angel view inn is within a easy walk of the Angel of the North Statue you can see it from the beer garden I stayed in one of the stable cottages which are outside rooms in a little courtyard and not in the main hotel rooms Lovely large room and fabulous walk in shower Despite the heat of the weather this week my room was always incredibly cool Ate twice in the pub and the food was very good Lovely huge beer garden which was perfect on these sunny evenings Staff are lovely and friendly and helpful Huge car park

All the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and value for money and served our purpose for one nights stay to attend an engagement party at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent quality and definitely value for money.

Very creaky floor, pillows were not very good quality and were lumpy. The decor is tired and furniture is poor quality with raw trims. No mirror above the dressing table, although one was located next to the door over the luggage stand, however there was no plug next to it for drying and styling hair. The window had a blind, however, there had obviously been curtains hanging due to the curtain track still being above the window, this made the room feel bare.

Our second stay at Angel View and we are already booked up again for a short stay in June. As before this hotel is in a perfect position for getting about as there is a bus stop right outside the hotel where there’s a bus every 10 mins. Staff were great and very friendly and always there to help. The full English breakfast to line the stomach was superb.

Great location across the road from the angel of the north. Very well presented building and grounds. Ample free parking. Staff were lovely. very clean building and room. bath in room. reasonable price. regular amenities in room that you'd expect from a 3-star hotel (kettle, hairdryer, tv etc). Beds were very comfortable. peaceful. restaurant on site doing good food. Genuinely one of the best hotels we've stayed in!

It would be better for the restaurant to operate until about 6.30 at least as they currently only do food until 5, which is a bit early for most people.

We stayed in the stable block, room 28. a very nice room with view of the Angel. My father in law is 88 and they gave him a nice ground floor room at no extra charge. Breakfast was good as was evening meals., plenty of choice and all delicious. The thing that made this stay so nice was the staff, from the manager to the bar and restaurant staff, all very friendly, attentive and we had a good laugh with them!

The angel hotel is friendly and I love coming back , the only snag was my shower didn't work to good,, but didn't ruin stay . I would recommend , the breakfast was amazing, and the food in restaurant was well worth the money . The rooms are all big and great value ,beds are so comfortable. Staff are so friendly and go out of there way to help making sure you have the best stay . 100% will be back. I must try the barn rooms (think that's what called ) but looks amazing .

Location was amazing, however I arrived in the Dark and left in the Dark so did not see much of the angel, Room was fantastic and is was comfortable, Food I have to say was amazing, I read the reviews and it DID meet the level that was suggested,

I asked for a quiet room, when I got there I could hear a humming so I reported it, Staff member suggested it was an extractor fan in adjacent room, I left it while I ate, When I reported it was still their, it took 3 attempts to get staff to enter the room, only to find the Transformer in the Bathroom light needed to be disconnected from the mains,, I was made to feel as though I was making it up, until they came in and heard it for themselves, Belittled and Annoyed as I had a really early start next day,, and it was 2200 ish by the time this happened, so little sleep and felt humiliated, by the staff member.

The view, first of all was lovely and easy enough to find off the motorway. the food was lovely. The beds are very comfortable. It is close to supermarkets and cinema and things do if your staying for a few days,

The noise from people walking past the room quite late too, and the walls could do with some sound proofing the man next door nearly got a nick from the my teenager because of his snoring that kept her up,

Room was a good size and lovely and clean. Bar area is nice and food was good value. The weather was awful when we visited but I could see that there was a good sized beer garden for summer and a lovely courtyard to sit out in too.

There was lots of noisy Xmas parties when we visited - music was turned off about 12ish but then they're was some further noise as people came to bed. It wouldn't put me off visiting again but would probably avoid Xmas time if bringing kids.
