Love, thought and care have gone into everything here. Faith and her team were exceptional - combining diligence with genuine friendliness. Very comfortable and peaceful room (great shower too!). Nice to sit in private outside area listening to just housematins and distant sheep. All the breakfast options I tried were delicious. The immediate area is quiet rolling farmland with some lovely walks, and upper Wasdale, just along the road, has the most dramatic scenery in England. This stay was to be a one-off treat for me but I'm now planning a return visit!

Well designed, beautiful interior nicely secluded liked the trust factor with the bar also reasonably priced and friendly staff with a exceptional breakfast selection and quality

Only two issues with are stay. Issue number 1- failed to get access to hot tub due to there only being one hot tub and several possible guest with the abundance of space could have more than hot tub .Issue number 2 on leaving whilst settling honesty bar bill was also told there was a extra charge for dog after are stay when on initial payment for dog there was no mention of additional charge for pets just said pet friendly 🤷‍♂️

A great room plus luxurious bathroom including a huge walk-in shower plus separate bath, the layout of this converted barn was well thought out, and the facilities were top-notch. Very friendly staff and owners. The car battery failed, and the owners kindly came to pick us up from where we were stranded. Just around the corner of Wasdale, with one of the best hiking options and dramatic scenery to be found in Lake District/England. Would recommend.

The property was beautiful, very clean and lots of little extras in the room that made it feel homely. Location was fantastic there were lots of walks to choose from, the breakfast was fab the choices were good. We have already booked to stay again in the bigger rooms in a couple of weeks so would definitely recommend.

Only bad thing was the room above us woke us up both mornings / silly times in the night.

The property is amazing, Steve and Faith have done an amazing job, from the decor to the breakfast… and the hot tub was simply perfect. Steve helped us with finding some trekking locations and faith provided great instructions and directions. The room was amazingly clean with beautiful touches like chocolates and rose petals. I had requested champagne and the team delivered beautifully. I would highly recommend this property and can only look forward to visiting again.

Everything was wonderful; location, clean and comfortable room, hot tub, professional and friendly staff, delicious breakfast and welcome cake.

The only thing I can mention here is the fact that the boiler had broken so there was no hot water for showers but Faith gave options to reschedule/discount/give kettles of hot water etc and we recognised this was a one-off and unpredictable event.

The hotel is located near the deepest lake in the region. Silence, mountains, splendor of rural landscapes - all this will satisfy both tourism enthusiasts and deep romantics seeking peace and solitude.The design of the rooms, the quality of bed linen, shower products and even the choice of tea and coffee - everything is thought out to the smallest detail, everything is of excellent quality.Special thanks to the service staff. It’s hard to imagine more friendly, welcoming people, ready to help with everything.I was also very impressed by the rich and delicious breakfasts.All of the above left the most pleasant memories and makes us want to definitely return.

Loved the surrounding area (with the alpacas). The room & bed were both super comfortable to stay in. Really enjoyed all the little touches in the decor and the services provided (cake in the afternoon, breakfast was amazing, great recommendations of nearby restaurant, the mini bar had tons of options). Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very close to the deepest lake in England - would definitely come back and stay here!

From start to finish our stay was wonderful. We were given the warmest welcome and shown to our spotless stylish room. Everything is so organised from the breakfasts to the hot tub schedule. The hot tub is fantastic with picturesque views. The breakfast is delicious with lots to choose from and the complimentary cake is such a lovely touch. We will be recommending it to everyone.

Perfect accommodation. Very clean. Everything you needed exactly where you needed it. Free cake when returning in the afternoon and good selection of drinks that works on an honesty system. Breakfast was freshly cooked and a lovely choice of other breakfast items.
