We loved everything about our stay! First of all, Jo made us feel very welcomed in the property and explained everything very well. She also makes the best English breakfast and that was well needed before our hike! Regarding the bedroom, everything was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom/bathroom had everything we could need! The hospitality tray had plenty of choices and the bathroom had all the useful extras. The view of the mountain was a nice extra and we really enjoyed this. The location was also perfect and both mountains and the sea were easily accessible with the car. We will definitely come back to Dale View Bed and Breakfast for our next trip to the Lake District, thank you!

Everything from arriving to leaving was filled with personal touch & care. Jo is a wonderful host, can't say enough for the room as Everything from the bed room to the bathroom was immaculate. Freshly washed linens, self sufficient amenities , lots of options for tea n coffees, female care amenities , it was more like staying at one's own house, nothing else to want for. The house is beautifully kept jnside , every piece adds value . Breakfast was great again homely with Jo giving us company n gave us suggestions & advises as we were planning for Scafel Pike. Best wishes to her , n yes we if travel to this part again definitely would choose this option.
Nothing. We stayed at Room no 1 n it was great.

Jo was a really friendly accommodating host. It was nice to come back to the tranquility and cosy room at Dale View B&B after day hikes in the Lake District. Nice English breakfast, thoughtful amenities, convenient location and nice decor. We loved to see the attention she put in her place and how she carries it with care and love. Jo had also prepared us little lunch packs as we told her we would be hiking Scafell Pike, and missing breakfast which is great for hikers. No complaints and we would definitely recommend for anyone looking to visit Lake District.
We liked everything.

We had a very comfortable stay in Jo’s lovely house. The room had great views, a comfortable bed and there were so many thoughtful extras in case we had forgotten to bring something, (toothbrushes and toothpaste, etc). The hospitality tray had every tea imaginable, which was great for me as I like herbal teas. There was also coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and water provided. It was all very generous. The breakfast was amazing, it’s just a shame we couldn’t indulge in the full full English, as we wouldn’t have been able to eat it all! Jo was welcoming and friendly and clearly works very hard to make everyone’s stay comfortable. We will certainly book again.
Everything was perfect.

Everything! The loveliest cosiest B&B, we absolutely loved Dale View! It had everything & more in the rooms to make your stay as comfortable as possible & every little detail thought of. Very cosy & homely feel we had the twin room at the back overlooking the lovely garden & nice & quiet - just the birdsong & dawn chorus in the morning :) The host Jo is lovely & full of information & takes no messing either, our sort of person/host! The location is fab too, quiet roadside location, great for exploring the Western Lakes. We will most definitely be back very soon!
Nothing! :)

This was the perfect place for us to stay while on a little hiking trip. The room was super comfortable, everything you could need was provided at the facility and the value for money was amazing. The Lady that welcomed us in was wonderful and made us feel so at home, we also had breakfast made for us in the mornings and it was amazing! So much choice, all freshly made per person. Would recommend everyone to stay here! (The location was also a favourite of mine. perfectly situated between the coast and the mountains so plans can work either way!)

Plenty of choice for breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Loads of literature about the area, and Jo was very knowledgeable as well. The toiletries in the bathroom were plentiful, also additional items, i.e. eye mask and ear plugs, hair dryer, even torch and binoculars. We enjoyed our friendly morning conversations with Jo, it was fascinating to see the work, with the pictures in a book, that she had achieved in renovating Dale View. A comfortable, friendly place to stay, a home from home environment that we would recommend to anyone.

Nothing was too much trouble for Jo, the host. She is very knowledgeable of the local area and helpful. Every day there is cereal, plain yogurt and a variety of fresh fruits and juice. Also, a tea, coffee and a big hearty cooked breakfast of your choice of any size. Our twin room was delightful and clean with a view of the pretty garden with happily roaming chickens. Separate to our room was the toilet and shower rooms, for our use only. We found it better to have these away from our bedroom. There are many little useful extras to make your stay just perfect. This was our second visit which says it all.

Set in a beautiful location, this B&B was just lovely. We had a fantastic stay and Jo made us very welcome and comfortable. We arrived early but Jo was able to accommodate this at no extra charge. The room was clean with beautiful decor and had everything we needed and more, including a pack of cards, toothbrushes, shower caps etc. Breakfast was great and Jo was happy to cater to our dietary needs. We loved the quiz cards on the breakfast tables - that was such a nice touch! All in all a very homely, pleasant stay which we couldn’t fault, and we couldn’t believe how good the value for our money was.
Nothing!

Jo is the most considerate host I've ever met. We arrived two hours earlier as we were not aware that the check-in time was 4 p.m. Yet, she let us in, and the room was already ready. It was a beautiful and comfortable room with a beautiful view. And the facilities in the room were great, taking care of every little detail guests would need. Breakfast was incredible, the best English breakfast I've ever had. We also enjoyed the game she provided on the breakfast table. All in all, it was a wonderful one-night stay.
