Beautiful setting, well maintained great for dog walks. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, kind and so professional. They made my short stay a delight.
I had a lovely bedroom called Mamble but it had no proper window, so felt a bit claustrophobic. Two very small windows facing the car Park with modesty glass, so not able to see the wonderful views that most visitors of the other bedrooms had. I suspect this is the primary bedroom for guests with dogs as the bedroom carpet was a bit stained in places.

Staff were fantastic without exception - friendly and accommodating. We even managed to train one of the girls how to flambe a sticky toffee pudding - her first time ! The food was also fantastic although the breakfast could have been a little more generous. The atmosphere was great and the room was cosy and comfortable Great location - we did the local loop walk the next day in the rain and mud - fantastic !!
Prices seemed to have been raised for the Valentines menu on the Friday - e.g. on a recent previous lunchtime visit (2 weeks ago) the sticky toffee pudding was £9. On this visit it was £12 but on the website daily menu it is £11 and on the Sunday lunch menu it is still £9 ! Its our favourite pudding but £12 is very expensive and the increase to £12 was excessive and felt a bit exploitative - it is also very inconsistent across the menus. I am sure there will be other examples too?

The manager Jane and her delightful team we met during our two night stay were the most delightful group of individuals who all worked cheerfully to ensure our stay at The Manor at Apperley was memorable for all the right reasons. The bedrooms were spotless, extremely comfortable and warm despite the temperature outside throughout our stay was below freezing. We had dinner in the hotel one evening and the food was exceptional. Plentiful parking is available conveniently close to the hotel. Breakfast choices were excellent with everything being requested and then served at our table.
Additional comfortable seating around the large wood burner would have added to the magic of our thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Manor.

Stunning, peaceful location. Beautiful, characterful building. Excellent food. We had both breakfast and dinner. Friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the Tedstone room, which was very clean, comfortable, and cosy. Extremely comfortable bed and linens. Brilliant huge shower, great towels, lighting and toiletries. Loved the bathrobes. Hospitality tray well stocked and restocked for our second day plus fresh water which was really appreciated.
Could have done with net curtains at windows as didn't feel very private. Easy to close curtains but wanted to keep room bright. No hand wash or soap in bathroom but used shower gel which was plentiful.

The breakfast was beautiful and the room was so aesthetically pleasing, I love the touch of the kettle and the tea and coffee tidy, the robes are such a lovely touch too. The water bottle and glasses made such a difference to me as a water drinker most places don't give you that option. It was so cozy and welcoming. The staff are so so lovely, so helpful and kind. This was a last minute stop and now I can't wait to come back.
I wish the toilet wasn't as loud but it's neither here or there because everything else made up for it.

The room was excellent and above expectation. Ate in the restaurant and was very pleased with the food. The meat was great quality and superbly cooked. The vegetables were all excellent and very well presented. The Gravy (or Jus as advised by Chef) was absolutely wonderful. Very good wine to accompany the meal. The staff and service was very pleasant and informative. The next day our Daughter and family joined us for breakfast, all accomodated with no fuss and a very good breakfast was provided. All in all a great experience. Location was our main reason to book but everything contributed to a satisfying stay. Will use again.
A few board games in the snug area as part of the library. Would help we had our own Scrabble (sad I know, but a good game. which my wife won by over 100points!)

Beautiful location with stunning views! The manor was quaint, very clean and provided high quality service by some really lovely staff. We had such a good night’s sleep. The vegetarian breakfast was so delicious and high quality.
There was very little we didn’t like. Some minor things to feed back for improvement were: dedicated hand soap would be nice (and more hygienic) to have & maybe some spare loo rolls could be kept in the bathrooms. We needed an ironing board but the team at the Manor was very prompt to bring one up to our rooms.

We only stayed for 1 night as travelling to the area for a wedding. Communication with hotel staff was excellent. The staff went above and beyond with breakfast for us both! Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Wish we had longer as the surrounding area is beautiful and hotel gardens wonderful could easily have spent the day relaxing here.
Nothing at all.

What a wonderful time we had! Staff are welcoming and so polite, nothing was too much for them, customer service was fantastic! our evening meal was 10/10 absolutely delicious, as was the breakfasts. Our room was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable, with lovely pillows which made for a perfect night's sleep. we had penty of tea/coffee and the soaps and creams that smelt devine! Just perfect x
The room was far too hot on the first night, but night two was better. The room didn't have an overhead light, which made it dark in places.

The Manor is a beautiful place to stay. Our room was beautiful, amazing views, very clean, the bed & pillows incredibly comfortable & the toiletries smell divine. The staff (Paul & Molly) really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent - breakfast and dinner. We will definitely stay again when in the area.
We only found out upon check out that you had to request for the room to be serviced, so we came back to no clean cups, and the bed wasn't made. It wasn't a huge problem, but heads up when we checked in would be helpful.
