We were made to feel welcome from the start.we arrived early knowing we couldn't check in till 2pm the owner had our bag off us to keep secure within 30 minutes he came to us and we could check in he showed us our room ..the room was lovely and clean the bed was comfy everything you needed was there.the bar staff were lovely and helpful 😊 it was carnival day and very busy but still good

It's a shame we didn't book for 2 nights and wake up to the view of the river.

The Angel Inn was perfectly located on the riverbank close to the marina. We were able to watch the rowing event that we had travelled down for from just outside in the beer garden! We received a very warm welcome from the landlord upon arrival who made us feel really at home!

Perfect location as we were down for a rowing weekend and the boat house is visible from the pub The staff we met were fabulous and couldn’t do enough to help. Big thank you to the landlord for sending me back my forgotten iPad! Thank you Bob!! We loved the bar area and the warm open fire Great parking on site and comfortable bed.

Excellent position near the river but also short walk to town and parking available at property . Staff were all very friendly and room clean. Excellent steaks served in Restaurant , highly recommended

Only one small point is that the beds could do with updating although very clean

The new Marstons checking in system is a bit more of a faff than it used to be as it was a much simpler checking in process the previous couple of times we stayed. This is not a problem though and does not effect the quality of our stay. Thank you.

Very good location for exploring Stafford. A very comfortable room and as we were on the 2nd floor and had a dog and luggage it was good to have a lift. Excellent layout and decor had a lot of character.

We were given a separate area for dining as we had a dog. This was fine and in no way detrimental but the service was very sporadic and slow. We felt forgotten although we were in an area near to reception and with staff passing through. The staff individually were very pleasant, just not attentive enough during meals. The food varied a bit too. The first evening meal was ok but not very seasoned (a tagine) but the Beef short rib was delicious! Car park is tricky to locate though this is not the fault of the hotel and they have put signs out nearby, but the road system is difficult if you are not used to it.

location . atmosphere . Greeted by a very Friendly dog which was lovely . Fast check in the room was absolutely lovely and Comfortable and smelled really clean and fresh view from the top was excellent

the only slight concern I had was a smell on the stairs going up to the room of pee . Bare in mind I have a brain disorder so have aversions and sensitivity to smells. But other than that was a perfect stay I would definitely return

We love the Angel inn. We were there twice last year and twice just recently. It’s excellent value for money as they don’t charge for dogs. The location is stunning, sitting right on the river Severn. We are always given room one. It’s small and cosy, clean and comfortable. We will stay there again next year.

They no longer serve food except at weekends. There is no mirror apart from in the bathroom, which is no good for straightening hair etc

Location excellent. Host quite a character. Hosts couldn't do enough for us.

Issue with TV tuning, but hosts switched our room Assured all TVs, will be okay when we stay again. Pub not open full advertised hours.

Lovely location with great outdoor seating next to the river. The boating club was 400 metres further up the river so plenty of boating activity taking place. Only a 2 minute walk to the canal basin and a further 5 minutes into the town. Th Black Star pub did very good meals reasonably priced and good portions.

As the property had no customers in the bar they shut early so was unable to get a night cap. It was a Wednesday in early May which could have been a factor.
