I recently stayed at The Lansdowne Hotel in Hastings, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I got for the price. The location is unbeatable, right on the seafront, just a short walk from the train station and the Old Town. My room had a lovely sea view, and I could hear the waves crashing as I drifted off to sleep. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Breakfast was tasty, with a good selection of options. Overall, The Lansdowne offers great value for money, especially considering its prime location and the comfort it provides. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Hastings.

We were 2 friends travelling and booked two single rooms. The rooms were on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order or broken. The stairs are steep and I don't recommend these rooms for people who are unfit. Luckily we were ok. The rooms were clean, tidy, had tea and coffee facilities , the bed was bigger than a single ( perhaps very small double). The shower worked well and the bathroom was small but functional. The hotel is old but has the most amazing view and is exactly on the seafront. I think that it was good value for the money.
The stairs....

Location, balcony, cleanliness, sea view
Bedside lamp didn't work, curtains didn't fit the window and hem was falling down. When I left my luggage after checkout, it was just left in an area open to anyone passing by so wasn't secure and I ended up having to carry around most of my stuff anyway. The reception didn't tend to have anyone there so I couldn't report fault with light until checkout. Limited choice of drinks with kettle. Room quite chilly as radiator didn't seem to heat up. Towel was quite small - okay for me as I'm only 5 ft 3, but would be very small for anyone else taller. Sounds travelled between rooms - I could hear every word from the room next door.

The hotel was in a brilliant location, right on the front near everything . The hotel is absolutely lovely as you approach the exterior is fresh and clean. We were given an upgraded room to what we had . The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was amazing. so clean and spacious . I would definitely head straight here for my next stay!!
It's not so much as I didn't like as everything about staying here was 10/10 . But the stairwells are the only bit that as you climb them it's all a little bit tired which made us worry about the room . But when we opened our door our reaction was WOW!!!

Room was immaculate, nicely decorated and after the initial outside of the building the room was a pleasant surprise. Really nice inside with great view and really nice interior. Radiator plus oil filled radiator if you get cold, and a fan if it was too hot. Smart TV, good free wifi, decent size balcony and parking nearby. Really good stay and will stay again.
The outside of the building and public spaces weren't as clean/fresh/smart as the room but that doesnt matter really as the room was excellent - The bathroom had a small step up once you opened the door which was an issue during the night, but not that important really as the room/bathroom was excellent. TV could do with more freeview or more channels but it was a smart TV with added extras there which more than made up for that. No complaints really, room was excellent and would definitely stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that my single room had a sea view! Usually, the single rooms are dark broom cupboards but here it was different. Clean hotel with a very nice staff. I happened to visit when there were issues with water in Hastings area due to burst pipe but the staff did everything they could to make the inconvenience bearable.
Just a small thing that my room was on the 4th floor and I don’t think that the hotel has a lift. It wasn’t a problem for me but it may be problematic for someone with mobility problems or heave luggage.

Hotel room brilliant, spotless and loved the views.Lee was very helpful and friendly.Just a short walk into the town centre was perfect,we had no plans and just enjoyed a walk on the beach, pier and chilled.Got so much going on here at home, just needed a few days away and was very pleased with my choice.Would love to come again.Thankyou.
Couldnt really fault it,except of course a bar and restaurant would have been a bonus.Maybe in the future they will come, and we will enjoy using them.As we all get a bit older a lift would help, but the exercise up the stairs was good for us to room7!!!!

Everything! The seaview, I got to watch sunrise from the room. the spacious room (i booked single room, but I think they free upgraded me to double?, i am not sure anyway bigger than advertised, the balcony. Clean bed and bathroom. Everything is decent. The receptionist staff are nice as well. Soft fluffy towel. Kettle and tea and coffee provided. Location 10mins walk to Train station, less to town Centre, 20mins to Old Town, 7mins to the Pier. Lots of pillows. Also, Ilike the body and hair soap in the bathroom, usually in other hotel it make my hair dry but not this one, it feels soft on the skin too!
I like everything but I would suggest on some minor things - to have additional lighting at the mirror/ desk area. The existing light in the room is too dim. And probably scrub the bottom of toiler bowl.

Everything! The second time i stayed here as a solo traveller. The staff are very polite & professional made me feel very welcome . The rooms are beautifully decorated including clean & spacious . Even though it was just me on my own i was given a double room both times i stayed. Central heating so room is very warm. Other hotels i have stayed in had broken storage heaters ! ( In Eastbourne,) Cost more & tiny room with unhelpful rude staff . The Lansdowne is perfect location near town & beach . Peaceful & blackout curtains with a tv that works! Very comfortable & i will use this hotel from now on when i need a place to stay as i am homeless its very affordable & everything i need , even a hairdryer & fan! Amazing . Thank you so much x
Nothing , everything was perfect.

The location is excellent, the room was lovely with a nice little balcony looking over the sea. I especially liked the shower. The main entrance and reception area was modern and clean. The rooms have coffee and tea facilities, towels provided and a hairdryer and also a fan which is a god send if your always hot!
My only complaint would have to be the sound of the fan in the bathroom it was loud and did disturb me when I was asleep when my husband went to the bathroom. But only a minor issue if your a deep sleeper it wouldn’t even notice.
