It is a "good value for money" place to stay when in Hastings. The room was on a smaller side but very clean and had all basic things one needs e.g kettle etc. We really liked that they did not use scented cleaning stuff. We have had a problem in some places. Rooms are above the pub and next to the street but we were mostly out, so it didn't bother us. The staff was very friendly and we met a lovely local lady in the pub who gave us some good tips on what to see. Will stay again next time when in Hastings.

It wasn't a problem for us but the accessibility (narrow stairs) might be an issue for some people.

We were amazed by the professional and caring staff who made us so welcome and the quality of the food. We had dinner for four and a number of breakfasts and everything we had we enjoyed immensely. Furthermore it was served with such kindness and generosity, nothing was too much trouble for them. Quite extraordinary. White sheets and duvet cover were crisp clean and immaculate and the while towels large and fluffy. Bed -not huge- but very comfortable. Radiator efficient and virtually instant! Extremely good value and delightful stay. The multi story car park opposite was less expensive than feared: we paid £6.50 for over 24 hours.

The only downside at all was the traffic noise early morning on the bank holiday Monday: oddly it wasn't a problem on the Sunday! double glazing would possibly help. Our room was a budget room (facing onto the front main road of the building) but bigger than some elsewhere and the bathroom was small but very adequate.

We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff on arrival. The room was exceptionally clean, bedding crisp and bed very comfortable. Clean and very functional bathroom with decent shower. Good sized soft white towels. Good sized room in all. Exceptional value for money for what we paid. When booking, I requested a late checkout which was readily agreed to.

Staff who were on duty on day we left not so helpful and reticent to agree for us to leave our bags for a couple hours before we left Hastings. Grudgingly agreed in the end, but by then couldn't be bothered and took them with us. It was Mother's Day and think they had a lot of restaurant bookings, so a bit busy. Otherwise nothing,

Pub downstairs is probably the best kept secret in Hastings. Great music, and a warm welcome. If I lived here this would be my local. Spent 4 days in the kingsized room. I don’t usually stay in pubs, especially when I am traveling alone as I prefer a hotel. My needs were for a proper desk space as I was working remotely from my room all week while my son visited family nearby. I needed space to unpack and work without having to perch on the edge of the bed - but also wanted the comfort of a bath and easy access to the town. Most other hotel rooms in the town are a bit too small for my needs or don’t come with a proper bath. Most of the apartments are either at the far end of the old town or in areas that I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking alone at night. Room was very clean and comfortable. Room was ready early and check in friendly. It’s more of a guest house than a hotel or B&B. No breakfast available but I don’t eat it anyway so that suited me. Full sized fridge in the room and close proximity to supermarket so I bought snacks and fresh milk. Decent coffee and tea in the room and full sized kettle. Bed was very comfy and the room is quiet - although read on for more details. Pub downstairs was no bother and served decent alcohol free beer on draught (plus real beer of course) Menu looked good but I ate in various places across the town. It’s easily walkable to St Leonard’s and the Old Town. Would recommend for someone with similar needs to mine. It’s a period building so plenty of character. That means it’s a bit creaky and has a narrow staircase to the room. Room was large and has 4 large sash windows, so could sometimes be cold. The heating was good but it’s a large room. It’s on a busy road, so there is some road noise. Not a lot but you could feel the larger lorries. From 6am there were moments when I thought I was experiencing an earthquake. Nothing too serious though and not enough for me to mark them down.

I liked it all.

We liked everything. It was a last minute booking. The photo on booking.com looked fairly grim, but I was short of time. In the event it was definitely a different room from the photo, and it was particularly nice - so I didn’t get what I seemed to have paid for, but actually something very much better, oddly. The people we dealt with were all lovely.

Our room, and I think all of the rooms faced onto a reasonably busy road - lots of traffic noise. It was fine for just one night. I had put a request on booking.com for a top floor room for the express purpose of reducing traffic noise. For no obvious reason we were given a 1st floor room. We dealt with the staff of Pissarro’s and didn’t see the manager of the rooms.

A good location. Friendly, helpful staff. Tea and coffee provided. Linen and towels were excellent quality. Room and bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed is a double and comfortable. We parked at the multi-level parking nearby. It’s £6.50 for 6 hours but if you park in the afternoon or evening then get your car the next morning it’s £13. The restaurant has specials most nights. We had the steak for 2 at £35 including a bottle of house wine. It was good value. They are now offering breakfast for an additional cost - we couldn’t find a menu or price - but we didn’t sample it.

Not the hotels fault … It was very noisy! Not the band in the pub but the construction on the street. Jackhammers until 10pm. The was also hot but a fan is provided. The street noise meant we had to close the window so the fan was a god send.

The location was brilliant and everything was walking distance; parking was right across the road and it was safe and secure

We had room 5 and it did need updating and the floor was sloping too so we had a lot of fun with that! There was only a socket on one side of the bed which is a pain when u both need to charge ur phone overnight

Perfect location for absolutely everything in Hastings! Absolutely amazing, friendly and such helpful people, especially Heather, was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Lovely room, so clean and absolutely everything we wanted and more. Such good value and the breakfast was literally out of this world and SO cheap! Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to die for! The band on Sunday afternoon, Ska-per were better entertainment than we'd gone to Hastings for! Best weekend in the best hotel. Cannot recommend Town House Rooms highly enough 😊😊😊

That we didn't stay longer!!

Location is excellent, Short walk from the station about 8-10 minutes, shopping centre and town center next door also cinema and short walk to the seafront and of course character. This my 2nd time staying here. Would definatley stay again,Staff are wonderful!

TBH the steep narrow stairs BUT that is part of the Character of the building, not suitable for big cases as theres no Lift in the building. Not suitable for peole with mobility issues.

We had a large room with pleasant decor and large fluffy towels. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was good - close to shops, cafes and the Promenade. We could walk to all the sites. The railway station was also within easy walking distance. The Pissarro restaurant was more like a cosy English pub. Very inviting and reasonably priced.

The stairs are quite steep and narrow but this would not be a probable for the reasonably fit. Matty kindly carried my suitcase up to our room for me.
