I had a single room which had all I needed in it and was a good size. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. It’s brilliantly located in between Hastings Old Town and St Leonard’s, a stones throw from the pier. Great communication with regard to check-in and any staff I met were very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

I was at the back of the property in a non sea facing room and there was a club/bar that was playing loud music late on Saturday night. Fell fast asleep once the ear plugs were in!

Location very convenient to walk to White Rock Hotel where friends were staying. Also not too far away from the town shops and restaurants. Good value for money. Small fridge was a great idea ! Fan was good for the warm evenings

Very noisy motorbikes up and down the road during evenings and night ! Hastings Town Council should do everything they can to curb this noise !! Anywhere else this noise would be regarded as a public nuisance and fines should be issued to the noisy motorcyclists. Shower curtain smelt of mould / musty smell. Wash with bleach to kill the smell or replace curtain with new. No electric shaver power socket. I wasn't able to have a shave during my stay !

Keith couldn’t have been more helpful - he helped me with a late out-of-hours check-in, and was kind enough to take care of my bag after I checked out, so I could enjoy the rest of the day in Hastings. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, quiet and had everything I needed… the bed was comfortable, a compact en-suite, plenty of electric sockets for charging my many devices, WiFi that works, and a kettle for my morning cuppa. The location is right on the seafront (I could open my window and see the sea), and only 10 minutes walk from the train station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby.

I cant think of anything I didn’t like

The location is ideal, giving easy access to everything you want in Hastings. It's also surprisingly quiet for a central location. The owner was friendly and flexible - I checked in late so he offered me self-checkin which really helped. The room was well organised and had plenty of storage space. The bathroom was small but efficiently arranged.

The owner is replacing the fridge - which barely cooled anything. He solves problems! I had the room-only option so I can't comment on the breakfast.

A small and clean place right on the beach and good walking distance from both Old Town and New Town. Self check in was made very simple and communicated well. The room large, view great, and bathroom is clean and modern. Lovely having a room big enough to unpack and store luggage.

Only one complaint is that the walls a super thin so at night you hear neighbours tv's, coughs , sneezes etc. All fine if everyone is tucked up and respectful. We had one night where the room next door blarred TV till 3am and so was awful. Fortunately, they checked out and our next days were perfect.

The location was excellent. Over the road from the Promenade and metres from a bus stop to many locations including the Seven Sisters. The price additional breakfast was delicious. The property was stylishly presented and felt quite luxurious.

The single room was quite small and a tight fit with luggage so if your budget allows, upgrade to a bigger room.

Alexanders is on the seafront of Hastings. It is within easy (though hilly) walk of the train/bus station. It is situated between the peer and the old town. I had made a request for a room with a bath and a very friendly staff member had specially given me one. She also arranged for me to self-check-in, which was extremely useful and appreciated. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Glad to have stayed there. Hastings was a good base for visiting towns along the coast such as Rye.

Not much can be done in an older hotel, but there was a bit of noise from the adjoining room.

Fantastic location, right across the road from the beach and we had a seaview room too! Great communication from the hosts for our self-check in and throughout our stay via the chat on Booking.com. Overall a nice room with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, good storage space. Parking 1 minute away in an underground car park (RingGo) at Carlisle Place. A choice of breakfast (full English, vegetarian and omelette), plus tea and coffee and cereal. Train station a 10 minute walk away.

Around the windows could do with re-decorating in the room we had, the owners are aware though and will be sorting this soon. The tea and coffee facilities in the room could do with being higher up, I found it a little awkward to make a drink without kneeling on the floor. The bathroom could do with a shaving point.

The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk to the beach, allowing you to easily go anytime you like. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong, and the temperature is just right. The owners, Keith and Wendy, are incredibly kind and friendly. I stayed in a sea-view room, which was a real bonus, especially on days with bad weather when I couldn’t go out; it was lovely to sit and enjoy the view in such a splendid location.
