Property was in a fantastic location, very quirky being an old bank. It was pleasant and the view from the room was incredible. The view alone made the trip worthwhile.

I was very taken aback when we entered the property, was met by a lady who didn’t look very happy to begin with. I asked about what time was best to come back to check in, making a point of mentioning we know we arrived early but wanted to find the property first. I was then told check in is 2pm, which quite abruptly followed by your lucky we only had a few rooms to clean I can check you in now but any other time its 2pm and you’ll have to wait. This made us feel very unwelcome and uneasy, we were not expecting an early check in at all so didn’t expect the tone we got.

We stayed for one night at this property, as we visited our mum for Christmas. Firstly the communication was exceptional, as soon as I booked I received a phone call notifying me what time I should collect the key for my room, as it would be Christmas Day there was a specific time, which was great to know in advance and my mum was able to collect this for me. I was also notified that there would be 2 rooms, which my 17 year old loved the idea of. When we got to the property (10pm Christmas Day) after spending the day with my mum, the hotel was easy to find, parking was around the corner, and the rooms we were given were lovely! Very cosy and warm, as well as spacious, a tv in each room as well as a kettle and tea bags for the morning, I also loved the extra touch of the mince pies. I loved the fact that there was a bath option as well as a shower.

The main room didn’t have a curtain for privacy only a sheer curtain.

The hotel was beautiful, everything was there that one needed. The cleanliness was outstanding, the bed was so big and really comfortable. Nothing could I fault about the room, the hallways, it was totally spotless and they had catered for every need within the room. The Bistro where one can buy breakfast was fabulous, they have an excellent chef there.

I arrived one hour earlier than I should and wondered if I could leave my suitcase there but the staff member told me to leave, go, take your case with you. Then there were the stairs, I came down for renal treatment at the hospital. I was put right at the top of the building and there were no lifts. On leaving, I asked if my luggage could be held while my partner came to collect me from Lincs and the same staff member made me feel terrible for asking. They did hold it but I had to collect it on the dot of when I estimated my partner would be there, it made me feel very uncomfortable.

The historic bank building had a nice vibe throughout, such as the old safe in the en-suite and the high up interior windows. Location and sea view was great. Also, bistro breakfast room was lovely!

The bedside rugs were too flimsy and dirty looking. There was a lot of unclean areas as you look up to the light fittings, vent and windows, etc. one blind was broken, and the cupboards below the tv don’t open and there was broken knobs. The pillows were uncomfortable.

Great location on the seafront! Parking was convenient as we arrived after 4pm and left before 10. Room was elegantly decorated with a mix of old and new furniture which gave character and charm located on the top floor we had great views of the sea. very comfortable room with the advantage of a dressing space. We did nt take the breakfast due to a change of plans however it looked very appealing! Receptionist was very friendly helpful and the hotel had a very professional air about it. Would revisit very good value

The room was lovely, clean and with a great sea view. Large comfy bed and excellent facilities.

The room was extremely warm. We had a good fan in the room so we managed and slept fine but it wasn’t an especially warm night (about 22 in the day, 14 at night). The room obviously got a lot of sunlight in the day but we could only open the window a crack so it was super warm when we arrived. It didn’t bother us too much but in the height of summer I imagine it would be unbearable.

Beautifully styled room, very clean, good facilities, floor to ceiling windows with sea views, friendly, hard working staff, lovely breakfast, great location.

Noisy outside with constant, loud traffic all night, so had very little sleep, grateful for ear buds but didn't help. If I had stayed several nights, this would have been a problem. Also noisy inside, from room above, maybe due to wooden floors, although they look beautiful. No staff onsite after 5.30pm, which made me feel nervous, especially as this wasn't clear until after the booking which was non-refundable. Good that there were security cameras and a number to call, security of building good, but sleeping alone in premises with no staff is not for me.

It’s convenient to get in and out the room onto the Main Street , room was spacious with vintage decor, loads of day light , interesting colour combination, large bathroom with new tub , it had all I needed and more , sweet details like biscuit, shampoos and fur blanket , made it super comfortable

The fire alarm went off ,10 mins after my arrival ,I suppose it wasn’t a test , so after 2 minutes of non stop howling I was getting dressed and packing my stuff to go down , I had a knock on my door , lady telling me I should have left the room and came downstairs .I don’t think it was a right way staff handled this situation. Building clearly wasn’t on fire and guests certainly might by using bathroom /eating/ relaxing undressed, then to be put in a state of panic and told off for not running out naked . Staff should have said - sorry we had smoke in the kitchen it’s nothing please don’t worry , instead they added to already unsettling situation . Over all I would stay here again but staff are certainly under trained.

The location on the seafront is perfect, the building has an interesting history and the old bank features really add character. Check in was easy, host was friendly and welcoming, instructions were clear. Deluxe double room with extra large double bed was amazing, clean and comfortable. The room was a good size with lots of nice decor, the bed was comfortable, lots of extra pillows and blankets available. Compact but functional bathroom. We had breakfast the next morning which was very nice, good selection and fair price. The restaurant was pleasant and the food was tasty and fresh. Would definitely return and recommend.

Check in by 5pm could be a little restricting for some.

From the moment my daughter and I arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The room was smart, stylish, very comfortable and had a fantastic sea view... a real bit of luxury. The hotel itself is clean and has a really nice family/friendly feel. Nothing was too much trouble. We chose to have the breakfast in the Bistro (downstairs) both mornings of our stay, and it was absolutely delicious, served beautifully hot and fresh. We couldn't find any faults and we cant wait to stay again in the future! Thank You Jo and Zoe
