Easy check in with helpful staff. Room large and airy with comfortable bed and good heating. Shower good. The breakfast room was very light and airy with plenty of space and the breakfast itself was very good, helpful staff. Location handy for bus route into Hastings and further afield, good parking spaces

The rooms had solid laminate flooring rather than carpets so sound travelled throughout the whole building. The other guests were overheard quite a lot especially in the late evenings and early mornings. It is an old building so had thin walls but it was the guests that could have been more considerate as the owners cannot be expected to control the behaviour of the guests, despite having notices to that effect in the rooms.

The shower lacked pressure, but it just meant taking a little longer to rinse lather off. No big deal.

It’s a lovely looking building, with adequate parking which is a huge bonus. The reception staff are friendly, polite and informative. I only have 2 criticisms - because of the height of the bath/shower and me being only 5’2” I found it too difficult to get in it, let alone think of getting out of it - plus there was no bath/shower mat and as I have osteoarthritis, at 71 yrs of age I didn’t dare risk it. However I found it to be spotlessly clean, the rooms are large, the bed was very comfortable and I had a lovely view of the beautiful back garden which I would have liked to visit, but it was sadly torrential rain for my entire visit! All of which made up for the fact I was unable to have a shower. I would have liked it even more had there been a carpet or rug by the side of the bed, but…. I’d also like to mention the breakfast was good too. Would I come again - yes I definitely would 😁

Location was just right for us

We selected a booking with parking. Received a warm welcome and given thorough explanation about the hotel services. Our room which faced the rear garden was clean and spacious. There is some noise coming from corridor when guests are shutting/opening doors but we had no other issues. Food is served in their restaurant all day and includes cuisine from the Philippines. Breakfast is self service - you make your own tea & coffee and toast. We had a decent full English which is served to the table. There is small bar open until 11pm. As we have family living nearby, we will definitely use this hotel again. Excellent value.

I had a lovely one-night stay at the OYO Eagle House Hotel in St Leonards. The location was perfect—just a short 10-minute walk from the seafront and conveniently close to the train station, making it easy to get around. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made check-in smooth and hassle-free. My room was clean and comfortable, with new mattresses that ensured a good night's sleep. I appreciated the little touches like the kettle with tea and coffee supplies in the room. Breakfast was a great start to the day, offering a nice buffet with options like cereal, yogurt, toast, and a full English breakfast cooked to order. The hotel also has a cozy bar and a small restaurant with a nice evening menu, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Parking on site was an added bonus. For the price, this hotel was a real bargain and ideal for a short stay. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area and would recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, and conveniently located place to stay in St Leonards.
