The staff were extremely pleasant and breakfast service and food were excellent. Bed was very comfy. Place had character and like the fact rooms had individual names to represent local landmarks. Nice the place has maintained the original character.

Room felt very cramped overall. Needed a little bit of TLC in the bathroom. Bath panel was jaded. I have mobility issues so shower over bath was tricky for me to manage. Also security code for lift was problematic. We found ourselves unable to get back to lift area when returned to Hotel late eve as all doors seemed locked and keys weren't working so had to struggle with the stairs to access our room

Very comfy bed, amazing breakfast, super friendly and helpful staff and an early check in. Great facilities in the room, everything you could possibly need. Stayed before, great to be back and looking forward to staying again. Would recommend it to anyone.

The only downside. The bathrooms are in need of some overdue tlc. They are clean however the discoloured and mouldy grouting, cracked floor times and discoloured shower curtain are calling out for a much needed renovation. This has been the same in other bathrooms when I have stayed before. The rooms are great, the bathroom just takes the shine off an amazing visit.

We loved it here. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff are so lovely. The Crescent is an old hotel built in the mid 19th century. It is right in the centre of Ilkley, a couple of minutes walk from the station and right on the main shopping street. Yet you can still see the moors from the centre of town and it’s very easy to be right out on them in a matter of minutes. At the back is a modern extension and that’s where the apartments are located. We booked a self contained suite for a two day stay to visit family. There was one bedroom and a sofa bed. It was huge and had a proper kitchen with everything you could need. Spotlessly clean. The food is really marvellous too. We had an excellent breakfast each morning. It was served between the very civilised hours of 8 and 11. We loved the kind housekeeper who was so friendly and charming, as was Emily on the desk and every other staff member we encountered. We plan to return very soon.

One small niggle. The Wi-fi was perfect in the public rooms and restaurant but not good in the apartment. A message kept coming up from Captive Wi-Fi saying it wasn’t properly configured so perhaps that could be looked at. You could get onto it but it was weak and slipped off pretty quickly. I suppose it’s possible the apartments are too far away from the router and probably a booster is needed. That was really the only irritation. Everything else was perfect.

Peaceful room (even facing the main road!). The hotel was perfect for a quiet getaway. Easy indoor access to Bistrot Pierre and the crescent Inn making it a perfect evening for us as we didn't need to put our coats on and go searching for a restaurant. The next day, it is a perfect location for shopping and exploring Ilkley.

We had a very nice breakfast in Bistrot Pierre, but it was unclear what was included in your B & B rate. Even with trying to clarify with the waitress. The pillows were too soft for me, it would have been nice to have had an alternative pillow in the wardrobe etc. We found free parking 10 mins walk away (down the road and over the river), it wasn't a big problem for us at all, but can see it being frustrating for those who have a lot of luggage/mobility concerns.

The hotel was very conveniently located a short walk from the station. Friendly staff in the bar area made it a welcoming place to relax. Food was delicious (I loved the scrambled eggs on sourdough and the pea tart) and very reasonably priced for the quality. I enjoyed the informality of the bar or the choice of a more formal space in the restaurant area.

I would not hesitate to return, but one suggestion would be to have a comfortable armchair in the room (space might limit it, however).

Decor, bed (size, comfort, pillows etc.) Everything lovely and clean. Liked that the rooms were names and not numbers! Lovely bedding and towel quality.

Not a big problem but hair conditioner would be appreciated as part of the toiletries. I can't do without it but didn't take any as toiletries were listed as provided and I usually find both shampoo and conditioner are provided in most hotels of this standard. Only one pack of biscuits and I think there should be two different packs so both people have a pack each and a choice!

Lovely room, comfy bed and lots of space. We arrived early to go to an event, staff were welcoming and looked after luggage. It had been taken to our room when we checked in later. Breakfast is made to order, full english or other alternatives. Large pot of tea, you can choose a variety of coffees and orange/apple juice. We parked in the large car park over the road. You can pay through ringgo for any length of time. Car park is busy on a weekend, you might have to drive round and wait a bit.

Excellent location and super comfy king sized bed. Excellent and generous breakfast included. Would recommend and would stay again!

Carpets could probably do with a refresh and no hair conditioner in the bathroom. The bar downstairs was decent and convenient but had a large TV dominating the room and the lighting was quite bright - would be better with no TV and lights dimmed! The beer was also no great (same as at Ilkley Tap which was excellent but something wrong with the pour)

Each morning, we choose from a good selection of tasty cooked breakfast options. Prompt service was provided by friendly and helpful staff. We requested a quiet room, and they kindly provided one at the rear of the building overlooking an attractive square.

The bedroom was located above the restaurant kitchen, and at times, a low-level noise could be heard from the kitchen extraction system.

The staff were very helpful. We were in Ilkley for a wedding and arrived at the hotel before the wedding. We hoped to at least get our keys so that we could get in later that evening after the wedding reception without having to return before the reception started to check in. The rooms happened to be ready early and they not only gave us the keys to all our rooms, we could put our bags into the rooms saving us having to do that later.

Onsite parking is only available for the (3?) suite (family?) rooms only. The description, or maybe the list of facilities needs to state this and that parking for the other rooms is available using the town's parking facilities which includes the town's main 24 hour carpark just opposite the hotel.
