Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. The best location practically on the Dales Way doorstep. Only ten minute walk to the train station and town centre. It is about a 25 minute walk to the Moors. Breakfasts were very good definitely set you up for the day. There’s also the option to have lunch, dinner and there’s a bar. Great value for money. If you are looking for a sensible place for a sensible price this is perfect.

BREAKFAST WAS LOVELY, we did try to book in about half an hour before the 3pm, the guy who greeted us wasn't very helpful, didn't seem to know what he was doing, although when we went back again he did show us to our room. A nice big room and although there was a lot of people below drinking and eating ice cream the double glazing kept the noise out

The initial greeting wasn't great as noted above, they didn't seem to have my reservation for the evening meal, however we did say that this wasn't required now.

Excellent food both at breakfast & evening meals (which we purchased each of our 4 nights). Very helpful, polite staff. Nice walk along by the river. Added bonus of musicians playing outside & plant sales just along the walkway.

We had to change rooms when we arrived as we were mislead about the size & facilities of the twin room. This was due to Booking.com advertised the twin rooms using the photos of the family rooms. (This was not the fault of the proprietor).

Location parking staff were fantastic, couldn’t have been more helpful lovely outside seating area for the bar overlooking the river. Excellent breakfast. Didn’t have evening meal there.

Nothing I didn’t like, but we booked last minute and got a room on top floor. Little bit small but clean and well equipped. Off you have mobility issues make sure you get a room on the lower floors.

Lovely riverside location, quiet, convenient for town centre and surrounding area. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and lovely to talk to: Luke at check-in, Teighan behind the bar as well as Kristine and Catherine at breakfast. Really good team. Easy parking. Very tasty breakfast and sandwiches from the bar. Cosy fire burning in the bar and the bedroom was warm.

We liked everything about our stay.

Fantastic location right on the riverside, perfect for strolls along the river and into Ilkley. We were starting the Dales Way so it could not have been a better location. Food was nice and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. They organised a packed lunch and filled our flasks for our walk all for just £7.50. Bed was comfortable, our room was quiet and breakfast was delicious. We both slept well.

Decor was a mix of 'bling' and old fashioned - rooms could do with a refresh

We spent 2 nights here for the Bank Holiday weekend. The location is fantastic - as the name suggests, it's right next to the river! There's some beautiful scenery and walks all on the doorstep! There's a lovely park too - clearly a very popular spot. Only a short walk into the town centre, where we visited the Box Tree restaurant for our special anniversary meal, and Betty's the next day for Afternoon Tea! We walked up to the Cow and Calf on our last day and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ilkley. We were fuelled by a wonderful breakfast - all cooked to order - full English, but there were cereals, toast and porridge too. Our room had everything we needed, and I was brought an iron and board as soon as I asked (there was already a hairdryer, so I needn't have brought my own) Comfortable bed, towels were changed, and there were lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Overall we were really pleased with our choice, and it's a great spot to do all the touristy things when staying in Ilkley.

You have to be prepared for steps up to the room - not an issue for us , but maybe for some?

Good location in the lovely town of Ilkley . Staff worked very hard Rooms were a good size Good wholesome cooked breakfast

The car park is shared with "jo public" and gets full at times. The rear outside bar area was a bit grubby and needs a good thorough deep clean. No fruit available at breakfast

Attention to detail in so many aspects was wonderful - the staff could not have been kinder, we loved the family involvement in the hotel. The menu was excellent and all our needs were more than met. My husband is disabled and the staff assisted us at every turn - thank you!

Nothing could have been improved on! - So no way we can say any more - sorry - all too good!

The hotel is easy to find and in a lovely location overlooking the river and park. Onsite free parking a bonus. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman who served our meals, which were really good and reasonably priced. The hotel is ideally situated for both walking along the river bank or moors, or a 5 minute stroll into the town.
