Great location… quiet room, comfortable bed… the reception and housekeeping staff really are very good. I would stay again if the price is right.

It’s a great hotel but it’s starting to look a little tired decor wise. It needs a refresh, paintwork needs touching up, the bathrooms seem very 00’s with black marble effect laminate, loo roll holder so close to the toilet you have to sit sideways on the loo, also shower over the bath which I loathe, much easier to have a walk in shower. A heated mirror would be good so at least you can use it after a shower. Sure it’ll up its game when the new Indigo hotel opens up across the road.

Great hotel and room, restaurant looked very good, although we didn't eat there on this occassion, fantastic proximity to the city centre with everything close by that you could possible want. Although we had a slight issue with the bathroom (coating peeling away from the bath) which meant we requested to change rooms (partner was looking forwards to having a soak all day!), the staff were great and resolved for us without issue or delay. For the sake of a little more than a typical budget hotel (such as one across the road), I'd happily confirm that its worth paying that little extra for the extra room and additional comforts such as a coffee machine, fridge (with 2 complimentary bottles of water) and bathrobes and slippers!

The coating on the bath was peeling away so really didn't make us feel like we wasted to use it and something which should easily have been picked up a reported during a clean of the room. However, when this was brought to the hotels attention and a request to change rooms was made this was duly completed.

The whole start to finish experience of this hotel was amazing. The welcoming lady on front desk to the complimentary cocktail. The room didn’t fail to astound either. Absolutely beautiful. The deco was perfect. The massive bed was so comfy and the bath (I must admit the bath was the main thing that attracted us to this hotel to start off with) was the best bath I’ve ever had. The water got so hot and as my partner said, the water flow was on steroids! Never seen a bath fill so fast!

The only thing I can say I would have preferred would have been more information in the room. More information about the bar and what they offer and opening and closing times.

Lovely hotel and greeted by friendly staff upon arrival. The room was stylish and very comfortable. Yhe bed was a great size and the mix of textures such as the grey cushions, and the blue throw at the end of the bed really heightened the experience. There was a great range of complimentary refreshments. The location is great and very close to a number of restaurants and other venues, but it didn't sound too noisy at night.

There was a stain on one of the net curtains in the room, but I appreciate that's not an easy thing to change or clean. Similarly there was a mark on the underside of the throw at the end of the bed.

Booked the Malmaison as my son hopes to get into Leeds university and we wanted a hotel that was fairly central so we could explore Leeds. We arrived by Train and walked for about 10 minutes before we saw the hotel so its very close to the station. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in and gave us directions to our room which was on the 3rd floor. The room was very spacious with everything we needed including a small fridge, coffee machine & complimentary gown & slippers. The bottled water & chocolates were a nice touch! The hotel has a nice bar & restaurant however we wanted to explore Leeds and it was just a flying visit so we didn’t eat in the restaurant but the menu looked very nice. We enjoyed breakfast the following day though. The staff were again, very friendly and the breakfast was very nice indeed. Lots of choice and a few healthy options with Greek yoghurt, fruit and nuts as well as scrambled egg & smoked salmon. Upon check out the receptionist was lovely and recommended places to visit in Leeds. We enjoyed a comfortable stay and were made to feel welcome. Would recommend and would visit again!

There was a little bit of noise from nearby bars but that’s not the hotels fault,at the end of the day the hotel is very central so a bit of noise is to be expected. It wasn’t a problem.

The location for accessibility of the main stretch of the city centre was great, only a 5 min walk from the train station and a 5 mins walk to Leeds Trinity. Room was lovely and clean, bed was really comfortable, and a nice seating area also.

Only problem was that the windows are extremely thin, and unfortunately we could hear loud music until about 4am. Fully appreciate that it was a bank holiday Sunday, therefore due to location there are a lot of clubs and bars very nearby, however may be worth getting an extra indoor window guard to reduce noise. A lot of road noise from about 7am also.

So close to city centre. Loads of nice restaurants & bars near by. Beautiful authentic Indian opposite hotel. The girl on reception let us check in slightly earlier which was much appreciated.

My partner ate one night in hotel restaurant. I had already eaten, he ordered a steak which cost £50. It was diabolical. It was 100% sliced roast beef, not a steak. Sunday roasts were on that day. Then when we seen it cost £50. Everything else inc cocktails were stunning. But that steak. It’s gone down in history as the worst yet most expensive steaks we’ve ever had lol

I stay here whenever I come to Leeds so quite a few times each year and have always found it excellent value and comfort. Unfortunately this time the restaurant or bar were not open so I had to go out of the hotel to eat. Although the room was spotless the bathrooms ( I stated in two rooms this time) had bathrooms that were dated and with some dust and grime on the skirting boards that had been there for some time. There was also only one tissue in the box.

The restaurant and bar were closed. The bathroom was dated.

Staff were brilliant and attentive They upgraded our rooms as it was our special anniversary The location is amazing short walk from bars and the centre of town. But far away enough from bars to get a goodnight sleep and not hear the music. The room was spacious and the beds really comfy

Breakfast- continental breakfast was nice although the breakfast main was simple and included a sausage, 2 bacon, 4 potato croquettes, tomato, beans, black pudding and a mushroom. Breakfast was included in our cost for the night but I think otherwise it would be a little over £20. Breakfast wouldn’t be worth it if it wasn’t included. Cheaper and better quality breakfast at Wetherspoons

Location great ,our first time in Leeds ,close to station and plenty of pubs close by ,though that can probably be said for lots of hotels in Leeds, staff very helpful, also liked the option to give room service a miss for a voucher for 2 drinks in the bar, dressing table in room for the wife comfy bed and super soft pillows and the best bit was my email to request a room in a certain area of hotel couldn't have been met any better so overall I would definitely stay again IF it stays under 300 pound and have to say what a great city Leeds was for a weekend great people great pubs and welcoming atmosphere everywhere we went.

Being a little picky though at a little under 300 pound for two nights small things for example is that usually would have expected a small fridge with couple of bottle of complimentary water maybe and bottle of OJ cost very little but make experience better . Price of breakfast at over 22 pounds is a little ridiculous dearer than any previous 4 star.hotels I have stayed in, maybe they dont particularly want to do many breakfasts would be my suggestion?? Also forgot to tell hotel on check out about stiff shower temp valve, we left it on cool but when turned on it was on red hot would say has to be over 70 degrees and desk light not working that is in 414 so if hotel read this please check the shower valve out. Lighting a little dark for the mrs doing her hair n make up.
