Absolutely loved our stay! From start to finish everything was perfect. Every staff member we had interactions with were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the presidential suite and I was amazed how beautiful it was. The flooring in the hotel is gorgeous and everywhere was perfect for photos. We had 3 course meal and couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be returning and even thinking of choosing as our wedding venue. 100% recommend

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and will return it is a very comfortable clean hotel and hats off to the restaraunt staff breakfast was very good. The housekeeping staff also are very hard working and efficient.thank you we love having the use of the spa
We made a late booking and there was only a twin room available when we arrived that had become a disabled room with the beds end to end a wet room that flooded the complete bathroom and an adjoining door which meant we could hear every word spoken by our neighbours we asked but were unable to change. That did spoil our break a little but we will return and hopefully that won't happen again.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities and decor. I couldn't fault the food it was simply delicious. Both the bar area and restaurant were exceptional. Breakfast was hot and good choices. Staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely. The pampering facilities were brilliant and the service there was all I had expected. I had an amazing massage and I can honestly say it was one of the best. Well done! My room was a good size, comfortable and clean, the shower door didn't fully close but even that was not a problem. Even though I was a solo traveller it would not hurt to add an extra cup to the room and just have a few other options of hot drinks
Sadly I felt the night reception staff could have been a little more accommodating, not following up on requests and asking me more or less to sort my own issues out. On one of the days the jacuzzi was not working and it was left to someone from the spa area to sort out and I felt sorry for her as she clearly was trying but did not know what to do. This feedback was shared and an offer of a late check out was proposed by the receptionist on the day shift as compensation. On another point, help with bags would have been nice rather than watching me struggle and not offer any assistance. Even though I'm sharing this feedback it won't stop me from going back as I still had a wonderful time

Decent leisure Spa, steam & Sauna both a good size and temperature. The Gym in desperate need of an upgrade. Breakfast was great with good quality Vegan sausages which were cooked on request.Staff were all very helpful & pleasant. Our garden room was away from the main hotel & was a good size with a comfortable bed. Adequate facilities although I would have appreciated some herbal teas in the room. Shower was really powerful & the bathroom cleanliness was good.
Lentil curry I had for dinner was awful, absolutely tasteless. I had to ask for some Tabasco sauce but overall dish was not nice at all.I booked a Pedicure then when I arrived I was told that the therapist was not qualified to remove Gel polish. Extremely annoying and it ruined my day. I should have been asked at the booking if I had Gel polish on my Toes. These days Gel polish is very common so why would you not have qualified staff? Not sure if the land across from our room is owned by the hotel but it is a scrap yard & very unsightly. The Gym equipment is very old & even rusty on some machines, can definitely with a refurb.Tried not to let the negatives ruined our Anniversary weekend but Hotel should do better on some points.

We had a garden room and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was lovely to have your own outdoor space and very peaceful. The swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were so relaxing. No need to take your own towels, the hotel provides these which is great when you're travelling by plane to the hotel with minimum luggage! Staff are so friendly, and the food in the bar is delicious. We didn't use the restaurant, so I can't comment, but the menu looked fab! The gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful too.
Nothing, everything was perfect. Having a car would have been better to get around if you were there on holiday to explore Suffolk. We were only back in Ipswich visiting family for a couple of days, so it wasn't a problem.

The Spa is very nice, and slightly warmer that average ones. My wife had a massage treatment as she had previously in June. On both occasions she said they were really Good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We didnt eat there this time,. but previously have eaten from the Bar food menu, and It has been very good quality, although slightly overpriced
Take your own pool/bath robe. To get a drink from the Bar to take into the Spa, you have to walk through the hotel, and they will charge you £7.50 for robe hire. Not enough sockets in the room. Take a power bar of some description

Lovely pool with dry sauna and steam room plus gym and hot tub. Liked the room, windows painted shut so probably would not want that particular room in warmer weather. Only had one breakfast during our three night stay because I thought it a bit expensive, probably not for other travellers. Had an enjoyable dinner in the restaurant one evening with varied menu last orders on Sunday 9pm. If you like curious, quirky, old mixed with new this hotel is for you. Staff were very helpful. Pool Staff excellent. Reception (we arrived at 1am after a gig) were very good and exceptional in the daytime. Garage and pubs nearby which we did not have time to explore. Lots of lovely countryside and remote beaches to explore nearby.
The bar has decent decor and good seats but stark bright lighting which was not relaxing and sadly for us closed at 10pm on Sunday (shame). Some areas need a lick of paint. Grounds could do with a tidy and skip 'behind the scenes'. Could not work out how to access the 9 acres of land staff said there was no way thought at the moment (?).

A quirky unique hotel thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spa treatments are very relaxing and full use of steam room, sauna, pool and jacuzzi. The staff team all helpful and friendly. Food was of a high quality, delicious and lots of choice. Room 217 was very large and was a good size for 3 adults, clean and tidy.
There was nothing we didn't like. The only critique I would have is that some tender loving care to the garden areas would definitely add to the appeal of the hotel and replace broken, torn sun loungers in the garden around pool, either replace or remove the cushioned pads on loungers in pool care, general tidy up and some accessories would give the pool area a new vibe.

Had a facial & massage which was very good and the beautician very professional
We originally sent a message asking for decaff coffee and decaff tea in our room. When we arrived we had decaff coffee, we did have tea bags but were not sure if they were decaff. When we spoke to the receptionist to question this she said they do not have decaff tea only decaff green tea but these tea bags were not decaff green tea It is a good job my husband did not drink the tea in our room as he would have been quite unwell. When we went for breakfast the next morning there was a jar with tea bags in it labelled decaff tea. Staff need to know what you do provide and what you do not provide.

I stayed for just one night on a business trip (in a superior double room) so didn’t have the opportunity to use the spa, pool or gym. The hotel is mix of a historic and more modern buildings. Large room with very comfortable bed, friendly and efficient staff at reception and in the bar. Food in the bar was great. Tasty, good portions plenty of options. Very nice hot breakfast (buffet) with great coffee.
Water pressure in shower wasn’t the best, but that is being super nit-picky. The room doesn’t have AC but I stayed during a heat-wave and it was perfectly comfortable.
