A fabulous stay, shame it was only 1 night. We climbed the hill (falls) behind the hotel - a word of warning, it’s very steep and not for the faint of heart!!! Staff were excellent - very friendly. Excellent facilities, I did get a bit annoyed when I saw people carrying cocktails into the pool, not what you expect of a 5star resort. More like Magaluf! But I guess folk were just having a good time, I do think they should operate a no drinks in the pool policy, especially as there is ample seating around it. Seemed a bit ridiculous. I also saw lots of people with their phones when they claim to be a ‘no phone space zone’. And i saw 1 person vaping on poolside which was strictly forbidden. So i think the spa staff just need to enforce their policies really. The bed was amazing, pillows lovely, breakfast lovely. And all round fabulous stay in an amazing location.

The view was lovely when sat near a window in the restaurant, bar or outside. The spa was lovely just not many beds/chairs out side. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional.

The view from our room, for the price we paid we were overlooking the roof which was disappointing especially when I upgraded a few weeks before our stay and all we got was a bigger bed.

Loved the location, it was nice & peaceful

I didn't like the amount of noise from other guest's in hotel corridor outside rooms in main building. They need signs in rooms to respect other guest's & possibly install soft closing doors on rooms.

Room was stunning View was stunning SPA was gorgeous but seemed pricey for just two hours Rules of no phones in spa but everyone had phones lol Didn’t like the idea of everyone getting out the spa rushing , had to wait to use changing rooms Pool had such a good view Some of the steam rooms didn’t smell great- The first two smelt just damp not scented but like stagnant water Breakfast was yummy Drinks reasonably priced Free Elemis moisturisers and cleansers on a stand , everyone used Spa best part of stay , the surroundings are breathtaking. Had a few glasses of Prosecco at the bar in the spa, reasonably priced and lovely staff

Check in was late in the day- felt like a short stay not a full one 1pm check in would be better Hotel stunning, MIZU over priced. Limited menu. Wish we’d booked the brasserie. Paid 30 pounds for a ramen bowl and it was tasteless. Ended up getting a takeaway after. Prices where 36-50 per meal per person- too excessive for lack of flavour in dishes Room service was an additional five pound per order which seemed extreme Massages where charged at 95.00 where the same elsewhere is half the price Bit weird that different customers are given different colour robes - but I get it

all of it . room with a lake view , milk in the fridge , breakfast but ran out of salmon first 2 days . Fillet steak was the best

we felt i bit mislead by how the SPA was portrayed when we booked . We believed that use of the pool and one SPA treatment was complimentary but found with our room it was not . i don't think that was clear . We were never going to pay £35 each to use the pool which is disappointing . We were on our Honeymoon and had choosen the Hotel because Derwent is our Favourite Lake . I asked for a quiet table in the restaurant because we are newly weds but got placed in the middle of the restaurant . i requested this by email in advance .

Amazing venue and spa facilities were great! Will be a long lasting memory being a tad tipsy in that gorgeous pool! Such a lovely atmosphere! AND how could I forget…we got a FREE upgrade to a stunning suite above the pool - we honestly could not be more grateful. Thank you so much!!!! We will 100% be back!

Had the salmon and eggs for breakfast, served on a hot plate however the salmon was due to be served cold. The hot plate mad the salmon half cooked which left a horrid consistency - literally the only complaint of the weekend. Sounds ridiculous but it was the only thing I could fault.

Wonderful location and views, providing a touch of luxury. We had a lovely view from our room, which was clean and comfy and provided a coffee machine. The hotel itself is set against a waterfall and has a wonderful spa, which is a must.

I think for the price of the accommodation spa access should be cheaper for guests, or at least include 1 drink. Reference to confirm the spa was a little rude - TWAT5. Reception staff could have been more accommodating, they make you feel as though you have disturbed their break when coming out to the desk, upon cancelling a restaurant reservation the lady hung up the call.

Lovely location and facilities

Having to pay extra to use the spa. Thought it should be included within the stay.

Beautiful hotel, lovely decor. Bar area is lovely and nice lounge areas to sit and relax. Room was spacious and comfortable bed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Spa was lovely and everywhere had great views of the lake.

The shower in our room didn’t work properly if you wanted a hot shower it only dripped out. Went to report it but no one was at reception. Told reception when leaving and they said maybe it was because everyone was using the showers at the same time but this wasn’t the case as the pressure was fine. We ate in the Brassiere one night food was ok. Dining area is lovely but changing the lighting would make it more relaxing, it felt like sitting in a canteen which was a shame. Spa was lovely but think it should be free for guests.

My partner and I stayed at the Lodore Falls Hotel for our Engagement. From proposing on Thursday 17th April, we got to the hotel shortly after. We were blown away by the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The decor throughout had a really calming feel to it, with views to die for looking out on to the mountains and lake.

If I was picky, the only thing I was a little upset about was that I mentioned that we were getting engaged and let the Mizu Restaurant know prior to our booking on the Friday evening, I expected maybe a small gesture which never arose. Still, the food was amazing!
