I loved how it made me feel completely out of the noise from central London. Arriving made me feel calmer and we really relaxed the whole time. I felt like we were in great hands and didn’t need to worry about anything.

Genuinely couldn’t think of anything big, one thing however as an interior designer.. why no mirror on the desk in the bedroom space? I felt like that was definitely missing! For women to have space for hair equipment and even just a mirror you can sit at. Honestly other than that it was a perfect stay and I will be back regardless.

This was our 2nd visit to the pilot and it didn’t disappoint! Including the warm welcome from Kirsty. Our room no.5 was on 1st floor and double aspect, beautifully presented and spotless (credit to housekeeper) we stayed 2 nights and had a truly scrumptious breakfast in the morning. The benefits of the pilot are easy access close to the A2 / Silvertown tunnel and quick trip into town using the jubilee line from North Greenwich tube 10mins walk from the hotel. The pilot also has a car park for residents which makes it easy to come and go! The pilot is a great base location to explore the city and if you are visiting the O2

Nothing at all

This hotel was a delight right through from checking in to departure. Myself and my daughter spent two nights here whilst visiting an event at the O2 arena. The Pilot Inn was superbly located a few minutes walk away from the arena in a well lit area, surrounded by parkland but within Greenwich, it's quite unique. Nearby transport connections offered plenty of choice, the London Underground, cable car over the Thames and Uber Water Taxis were all located within five minutes walk away and there were also plenty of pay-as-you-go electric bikes available to ride stationed nearby - we used every option to reach central London quickly, cheaply and easily. On check in we were warmly greeted and given the key to our room and had the facilities and timings explained to us. Our room was exceedingly comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean and had wonderful decor as a music lover! It was well laid out with a desk space, en suite facilities including plenty of toiletries and every amenity, the tea and coffee selection was vast and the complimentary shortbread biscuits yummy, as well as replenished - thank you :) Sleep was easy and very comfortable with the room being lovely and cool in some very hot weather of 31°c. We enjoyed two lunches here, two breakfasts and several visits to the bar, nothing disappointed. Our meals on the roof terrace were delicious, promptly served and prepared using fresh and quality ingredients and were excellent value for money. Breakfast was also excellent, a good choice on the continental buffet whilst you wait for your choice of breakfast from the full and extensive menu, again prepared with care and with top quality ingredients, there was something for everyone. The grounds provided a choice of outdoor seating areas, well maintained with plenty of tables, seats and shady spaces. The only downside to our lovely break at this hotel was leaving, it was very hard to!

I don't know where to start. Everything was absolutely great and worth it as the location, the facilities, the decor, the restaurant bar and even better, the staff, made my stay perfect. The building has personality, that's something a 5-star hotel can beat and believe me, I was given the option to go for a 5-star hotel nearby and I do not regret turning it down. I'd rather go to places where I feel like I'm treated like a person and with a genuine smile, rather than welcomed by overworked staff that has to put on the best face as servants. The room was neat and had a Krups coffee machine and a boiler to make tea, all the necessary amenities and a super comfortable bed and pillows (and I need lots of pillows). Please eat at their restaurant, the food was delicious, even the simplest cheeseburger with chips was super tasty and rightly cooked meat. The place is pet-friendly and offers treats for your furry friend. There's also the central park right in front which is great to start your day with a short walk in the case you have business to do at The O2, which is 10 mins away or the London cablecar 15 mins. Every person on the staff was really helpful and were quite warmly welcoming. Offered me solutions to my silly-lost-in-town tourist questions and helped me with my luggage.

Absolutely fantastic staff! All very friendly and helpful. Harry (the manager) answered all my messages on Booking.com, and let me get a shirt delivered to them, which he saved and put in my room for me for when I arrived. Bar staff very patient and efficient, and I met a cleaning lady in the hall who stopped to say hello and ask if I wanted my room tidying. Can't say enough nice things about all the staff here. Nice ambience, and felt very safe. Loved the cosiness of the place, and the kooky styling, like the records all over my walls, the big globe in the pub, and the clocks for the room numbers. All very charming. Nice vegetarian options on the menu, and all the food and drink was presented very nicely. Would stay here every time I come back to Greenwich. Probably my favourite place I've ever stayed. Would recommend to everyone. Bus stop only a couple minutes walk up one way, and the O2 Arena less than 10 minutes walk in a straight line the other way. Impossible to get lost, and felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Maze Hill train station was only half an hours walk away, too, or you can get the 129 bus between the station and hotel. Fantastically well connected, and brilliant location. The shower and hairdryer were great, and the screen on the window allowed me to let some air in, without having to worry about insects also flying in.

The only improvement I would suggest is that there could do with there being an instruction card in the rooms, explaining how to operate the air conditioning, Bluetooth speaker, Smart TV, and coffee machine. Never fully got the hang of that air conditioner, and I think my Bluetooth speaker/iPod dock was broken, as I couldn't even get it to switch on. The coffee pods weren't labelled, so I didn't end up drinking any of those, as I didn't know which were decaf and which were regular.

Very quiet, brilliant venue to stay at for a show at the o2, a 10 minute walk straight down the side of a grass field. Very comfortable beds, aircon available, a little small for then price but then its expected as the only other real option so close to the venue is the intercontinental! Came with lots of lovely little bits and bobs. Great shower, with great water pressure! Was lovely to walk back to after Billie as her show finished at 10 so we could sit and have drinks and nibbles after, a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely, a mixture of cooked food and a mini continental. Would and will be staying here again for shows in the future.

Not a problem for me, but beware if you have mobility issues as the rooms are up one or two sets of narrow stairs!

Great location, comfy bed, aircon in the room, which was a real bonus as it was quite warm outside, good sized shower and good provision of soaps etc...

Being above a pub, it was quite loud and this went on until closing time, around 11 ish. Breakfast is served from 07:00, unfortunately I was kept waiting a whole 15 minutes in the dining area waiting to be served, by which time I'd had enough as I had to be in Canary Wharf for 07:45 and had to leave. Don't advertise a 07:00 o'clock start if you're not ready to go. Would I stay again? Absolutely, as long as I wasn't in a rush in the morning.

Just was perfect all around, breakfast was amazing!! I had the Plant based Full English Breakfast, Bed was very comfortable, my partner is 6ft 5ins. We booked the superior room and the bed was a perfect size. Shower was clean and bright, kept in styling with the age of the building, Victorian inspired, Full Black out curtains to bay window so we both slept very well. Had a view of the O2 from our room. Sadly our 2 day stay went so quick I forgot to take any photos. No noise at night of traffic as pub is located on a dead end street, so no passing cars. For London that’s a one off. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only negative feedback I would give is would have been nice to have two glasses for the water, as 2 bottles of water were provided.

The room was very cosy had aircon a good sized tv with network, a coffee machine, really nice toilet and shower and was an amazingly short distance from the O2 which I had visited for, the breakfast in the morning was delicious and everyone was very friendly!

The room is a lil on the small side, I didn't mind this too much being by myself but I could see it being cramped for a couple, the price felt a lil high but It's a london inn very close to the O2 when they had a big event going on so I understood and it was pretty competitively priced for it's great quality and breakfast was included which was great!

The room was great. Despite asking for a twin room, and phoning ahead and requesting over the phone to ensure the twin request was logged, on arrival the room was made up as a double. However it was soon put right and the room was fine and luckily had good, quiet aircon as it was very hot. Tea, coffee, biscuits and water in the room and the shower and amenities were nice. Also great bluetooth speaker to get us in the mood for the Pulp gig we were attending. The location is the best thing. Just a 10 minute easy stroll to the O2 past all the people stressing over their trains and Ubers. All those people missing the end of the gig as they had to leave as trains were being cancelled and all the engineering works messing everything up! We just had an easy journey back the next day. Worth its weight in gold! Also the breakfast was really good. Great choice and really well cooked.

We didn't choose to eat at the pub, as we thought we might, as the menu was a bit fussy/expensive. We took our chances at the O2!
