Located just a short walk up the hill out of Mevagissey, the hotel has a good car park (so rare in this area), stands in a quiet location with fantastic views of the coast and surrounding countryside. The owners, Wes and Tam, could not have made our stay any more welcoming and they delighted in sharing their local knowledge. Breakfasts were superb and evening meals were available most evenings if you preferred to stay in. There is also a separate bar area open every day. The rooms were spotlessly clean, as were all communal areas of the hotel, inside and out.

There was nothing not to like!

we where greeted by Tam on arrival who clearly has a passion for what she does, we where shown to our rooms and given all the information for meals etc, and shown to the pool which was an added bonus as we hadn't realised there was a pool, she then told us that once we where settled in to come down for a complimentary cream tea, all home made and lovely, we went out for tea early evening and return for a few drinks in the bar, again really warm and friendly atmosphere. breakfast the next day was really good quality served by staff that clearly shared Tam and Wes's passion for the hotel, we didn't eat in of an evening but everyone that did was saying how nice the food was. we went in the pool which whilst small is a great addition as is the sun terraces. all in all a really great stay in a hotel run by people who care.

Couldn't fault anything

This hotel is wonderful! There is ample parking and a free cream tea is offered to all on arrival. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and well presented. The staff are all delightful, very personable and friendly. Our room had a lovely view of the sea with a huge bed and was very well appointed. However, I would recommend that anyone with mobility issues, books a room on the first floor as there is no lift. Breakfast was lovely and dinner fantastic. We had steak, it is a must if you visit! The location is perfect, not far into town and close to be able to drive elsewhere.

From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble from owners Tam and Wes. We arrived for my birthday for two nights. Our room was room 14 and it was small but very fresh and clean, we had a beautiful view from our window of the pool gardens and sea. The pool was lovely, we were fortunate to have a warm day to enjoy a dip with a few drinks. The bar downstairs is lovely, as are all the areas of the hotel. All the staff are very friendly and hospital. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. We had a complimentary cream tea, the owner Wes is the chef and they were freshly baked, I have to say they were the best scones I've ever tasted! We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay, we will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you to Tam and Wes.xx

Friendly staff, really clean property and a good breakfast array. So welcoming and everyone was really knowledgeable about places to visit and roads to take. You can walk into the town and your right next to the ocean which gives some fantastic views. Offered a cream tea upon arriving and an easter egg in the room which was a lovely touch.

The room was a lot smaller than I anticipated as there weren't a lot of pictures of the room size I booked, if you want space to lounge I'd recommend booking above a standard double. Also not a fault with the hotel but more a location point, driving through megavissy is a test of stamina, endurance and sanity. Have your most confident driver at the wheel and be prepared to reverse as the roads are big enough for one car only and pedestrians have a devil may care attitude to their safety.

Warm welcome on arrival with a complimentary cream tea - gorgeous. We'd booked a standard room, but the size exceeded my expectations - more than adequate for a short stay. Although the ensuite was quite small, it was very clean, with complimentary shampoo & conditioner. There was plentiful tea/coffee/hot chocolate in our room. The hotel was in a very quiet spot - a short (10 minute) walk from Mevagissey harbour - a great location with views from our room over rolling countryside and free parking immediately in front of the hotel. The evening meal we had was exceptional. I'm a fussy vegetarian, but the butternut squash soup with warm cheese & chive scone starter was exceptional, as was the mediterranean vegetable risotto which followed. Breakfast the following morning was fabulous and plentiful too, with full cooked breakfast options, plus fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast etc. Service throughout was very friendly and efficient. Directions for driving to the hotel were provided to avoid the very narrow streets of Mevagissey - worth following!

Nothing - everything was great!

Breakfast catered for all tastes & allergies, it was freshly cooked & delicious, highly recommend the scrambles eggs!, We didn’t eat at the hotel as ate when out & about.

Actually had nothing to complain about, the husband & wife team were so delightful & accommodated any requests. Equally the hotel was impeccably spotless. If I were to be picky, there was no lighting at the beginning of the drive leading to the hotel but the hotel itself did. The drive entrance commences in front of their neighbours property & perhaps that’s the issue.

A lovely family run hotel. Both Wes and Tasmine were excellent, friendly hosts - always ensuring that you had everything you needed for your stay and more! The hotel was well equipped. We had a small issue with not having hot water in our room, so they offered us another room to use, as well as keeping our large, comfortable room with a view. A small gift was left on our bed on arrival (chocolates), our room was cleaned, restocked and tidied daily (unless we didn't need it), breakfast was delicious and made to order and we enjoyed a cream tea after a wet morning out and about. The hotel is easy to find and park at and in a great location, walking distance to the harbour. We enjoyed chatting to both Wes and Tasmine in the bar, and they were ever so good with washing / drying any clothes when needed.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Staff were more than accommodating. Tam and Wes who run the hotel were especially exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble always greeting us with a smile. We had to come home a day early as my husband was poorly and Tamsin emailed me to wish him well after we left. This shows what lovely people they are. There was also onside parking which is quite rare in Cornwall.

The staff were just a delight, and were so welcoming in a really natural, friendly and laid back way. They made some good recommendations for us too. Room had a great view, had everything we needed and was replenished each day. Small but pleasant pool woth use of beach towels, and a little suntrap decking area. Little bar on site...we didn't get chance to sample the evening meals but heard good things from ither guests! Free and convenient parking. Breakfast was lovely, as was the complimentary cream tea. Vegetarians catered for 👌 Location was great for Mevagissey (for the able bodied, as it was on top of a hill)..walk was short into the harbour....very close to Heligan, not far from Eden project, and a good vases fir exploring nearby areas such as Polperro, Charlestown, Pentewan. The staff helped us out with bus time tables to both Charlestown and Pentewan fo we coukx get out without the car and have a drink!

Carparking is tight so park considerately! If you struggle with mobility, the walk back up the hill from Meva may be a push but absolutely no bother 4 the able bodied!
