I stayed here to attend a running event in Salcey Forest so the location only a few minutes drive away was ideal. This quiet location also has a couple of pubs within walking distance. I particularly enjoyed the privacy with the rooms being in a separate building to the main house and the little kitchen where I could comfortably make a drink whenever I wanted & where I could sit & work. The bed was supremely comfortable and the host very welcoming. I felt I had everything I needed for a very pleasant stay.

Some may find the parking a little tight - not a problem for me even with my big car but less confident drivers or those with slightly less mobility may struggle a little but if you take your time & watch your mirrors you'll be fine.

Simon was an excellent host to have for the few days i was there. He always made sure on the 2 mornings that I was staying that breakfast was there & ready, even for an early morning riser such as myself. The food was excellent, you basically just help to yourself what you need, Simon is there to get you what you want. The room was quite comfy & quiet as well, for someone that is used to an urban lifestyle it was a refreshing change!

There wasn't too much i really disliked in all honesty. You share a kitchen with another guest which is very different, but some people may not enjoy/prefer this.

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to Sarah the host for being so patience with our arrival, Thank you, much appreciated. The Accommodation was beautiful, Sarah made us feel very welcome, we would defiantly book again to stay. Very quiet and peaceful.

The only disappointing experience we had was the location, the bus service was unreliable, and very costly to get to and from into Milton Keynes town centre by taxi.

Lovely location and property. Nice reception and direction to local pub for tea, Navigation Inn, great evening meal. Good sized room, warm shower. Breakfast was spot on, good selection and Sarah did me a boiled egg as a bonus!

Parking a little tight, in the end I parked on the road, which was fine. With the breakfast room being inbetween the two bedrooms, I did get a little noise from the other visitor having breakfast, might make it hard to have a lie in.

Continental-style breakfast was an excellent start on our two days here. This family-owned business took great care to ensure we felt welcome and at home. Set within an old farmhouse, the garden was a lovely place, full of flowers and fruit trees, among which to enjoy the sunshine and country air. Would recommend anyone to stay here for a short break.

Everything was perfect. No complaints at all.

For me the location was central for what I needed but out in the country and as the name suggests it has a rustic old farmhouse feel but the provision was second to none. Ensuite and a goodly sized kitchen. So quiet.

Slightly hard to find but Sarah responded very quickly.

Nestled in the quaint village of Hanslope we felt comfortable in the tasteful barn conversion behind the old farmhouse. Sarah was hospitable and helpful with our needs especially with the great breakfast!

Breakfast was cereals yogurts jams marmalade croissants all sorts of lovely things I sadly said to Sarah I couldn’t eat any of that due to allergies Sarah made me boiled eggs which was very kind

A very small thing for me I would like a kettle in the room as have to get fully ready to be able to have a cup of tea as there was a gentleman sharing the kitchen in another room but that’s all

The continental breakfast was excellent, and prepared freshly for us each day. Much more than we could eat! The rooms were finished to a very high standard, and were both very comfortable and full of character. We were asked if we'd like to eat breakfast in the family garden, and a table was specially prepared for us each morning so that we could enjoy the sunny weather. Sarah, our host, was friendly and accommodating. The price we paid was significantly better than local Travelodge / Holiday Inn options, and the property full of character. Excellent value overall!

We had no complaints - everything met or exceeded our requirements. We arrived later than we had planned and were a little unsure how to access the property upon arrival, but after a short while we were greeted by the host. Perhaps this could be clarified in the confirmation email (though its possible it was and we missed it).

The breakfast was generous & the offer was varied, The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. I was greeted in a friendly and attentive manner. An all round great experience & I would happily return.

Nothing - everything was positive.
