Comfortable large room with lovely beds and cosy decor. Tea and coffee making items, toiletries, fridge, safe and roomy bathroom. The hotel was easy to find, lots of parking and the people running it were friendly and welcoming. The food at dinner was well presented and tasty. Cooked breakfast was good. The price of the room was very reasonabable. The hotel is new and there seemed to be a lot going on which made for some odd moments and much hilarity and laughter during our one night stay at The French Partridge.

A big party booking meant we we unable to be seated in the dining room for our 8pm reservation. More warning would have been appreciated and maybe a properly laid table in time for our arrival. We were seated in the bar and had to wait a considerable time as the chef was too busy to take on our order. We were really surprised. The staff were apologetic and we had a free drink/nibbles. My review is positive overall because the room and the food were good. The full english breakfast was also good though the cold breakfast buffet needs to be improved. The service is uneven and more basic info needs to be provided on arrival about the lounge areas, the spa facilities and the breakfast hours.

It was booked on my behalf. Its a little out of the way but I am glad it was. It is a superb place to spend time (for myself) when working away from home and the staff morning and night were brilliant. Food that I had at night was good, and I loved my breakfast - I think honestly was one of the first places that actually know how to cook scrambled eggs. Coffee was good too. Comfort? just a personal thing would have liked the bed to be firmer and a little clearer on the spa facilities. Whilst I wasn't there for them - having found there was a sauna on site - Id have liked it to have been available, but I understand why it wouldn't be kept on constantly. I made use of the spa facilities at my own cost to see if it helped with a bad back. Was good and enjoyed it. Question would I go back? If it was for work - yes absolutely if it was whilst travelling through/ nearby for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights --- again yes, absolutely! Not sure if I will be nearby working again soon, but if I am I'll be asking for same accommodation.

There wasn't anything to "dislike" Chef wasn't available one night because of a family issue...can't hold that against the premises. Apart from that - and its not a dislike, more of a suggested improvement; would be to have the lights in the car park working. They were there just not lit meaning cars were sat in near total darkness.

What's not to like? The building has plenty of history but the rooms were exceptional and not tired like some hotels we have stayed in. The food in the evening was incredible and the breakfast full of choice. We also had the couples Roman bath experience in the spa this was out of this world. The Spa just for us no one else how amazing is that!. The wooden bath with exfoliating scrub amazing. The dead sea body mud pack amazing and the couples massage was out of this world both massues really getting into some deep knots and tension but always checking to make sure it was ok. The staff were lovely throughout always cheerful, always helpful. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Honestly? There was nothing to not like. Maybe the payment at the end (a bit of a kafuful with my bank ) but this was all handled so nicely with a free cup of Chinese tea.

Lovely location close to the main road.Had a good night's sleep with a gorgeous breakfast.The room and the bathroom were better than expected.

Being asked to pay when I was leaving the property at 9.40am. When I arrived at the property, the evening before at 6.50pm, I insisted on paying the £85.00 for the night, which I did. This did sour the stay for me, considering it was the same gentleman who took my payment only 12 hours before.

Comfy bed and pillows, room had a bath, spacious. The man who met me at reception took me to my room and offered to carry my case. I asked if the restaurant was still serving any food (it was 10pm) and he said no but could make waffles. You had control over your own heating, there was bottled water in the room plus tea coffee making facilities. The lady at breakfast was exceptionally helpful and the quality of breakfast was delicious. I was rushing to a meeting and they served me so quickly and gave me a take away cup for my coffee. They also found me a safety pin as I lost a button my dress. All in all a fantastic experience. I would I return.

Bed was a little small but it was a standard room ( well above standard in comparison) continental breakfast would benefit a Re- think ( more choice) - accepting the hotel has only just opened

Food was particularly good, nice bar area with a good range of drinks and the garden was welcome on a hot sunny afternoon. Room was clean and comfortable.

I think the room had been recently refurbished and possibly needed finishing touches. It looked a little sterile with no pictures on the walls. Furniture was a little mis-matched, but bed very comfortable. No sockets near any of the mirrors, how is a girl to dry and style her hair? USB sockets next to the bed would have been a modern touch.

Great rural location, the food was lovely, the staff were amazing and looked after you and the property is beautiful with some modern touches. Lots of parking, lovely buildings and gardens, accessible to the motorway and Northampton where I was working - definitely stay again

My room was described as a junior suite and was a fab room, but there was no desk to work from or a sofa or table ...there was a little chair and a bedside style cabinet which I moved...I would have expected a table and chair or a desk at least Some of the more recent work isn't finished or not finished well which lets it down a little bit (my bathroom) observation rather it affecting my stay

Herbert was a lovely man. Who greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome. Took on board what we had to say and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Place has only been opened for a few months. So, there are small teething problems. Like no info in the rooms. Ie WiFi. On-site restaurant prices and spa. And telephone directory. Love the old building.

Only had half a toilet roll and hand was half full. Workmen turned up early on a Saturday. Unloading scaffolding at 7.30am. Would of liked a buffet breakfast. No breakfast menu. No choices really for veggies.

The staff were amazing I felt extremely cared for, the food was exceptional and Holly who came to check me out was the loveliest person, very caring and friendly. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is in a lovely countryside setting with a small church right next to it. Wonderful experience, would definitely go again and recommend to others. Thank you for looking after me French Partridge. :)

Honestly everything was excellent and every member of staff treated me as if I was the only guest, they should be very proud, even my beef sandwich was cooked beef joint warm and beautifully presented. The chef is soooooo good.
