Don't let the location of being on a road put you off. Apart from being situated off the main road, it's very convenient to get to my daughter's who lives a 5mins drive away. If we could uplift the hotel and move it further back it would be ideal but that's not an option! The staff are friendly, professional and very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is old and full of character and you can feel the warmth and charm as you step inside! The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast is included in the overnight stay and there is plenty of choice to suit all appetites and the portions are good too! Try out the local sausages, they are gorgeous. If you are around in the evening I do recommend trying out their restaurant with a good menu selection that uses local produce and suits a variety of tastes. The Steak and beefburger are highly recommended. Another great stay, thank you Ram Inn!!

The only small criticism we had was there isn't enough plug sockets in the room. They would definitely benefit with having at least one with a USB charger in each room. The socket by my bed was only a single and had the lamp plugged in but it was too difficult to pull out. Had this socket been a double this would have solved the issue of where to charge your phone. As it was I had to use another socket at the other end of the bedroom and remove the kettle.

The choices and quality of food were excellent. We really enjoyed both the evening meal and breakfast we had at the Ram during our overnight stay. The public areas of the inn had been very sympathetically renovated and it was good to see so many original beams and other features retained. Because of the nooks and crannies our dining table felt quite private. If/when we return to the area we would not hesitate to book the Ram again.

The only slight issue we had was the height of the beams in the bedroom - this meant we had to be careful not to bump our heads. That said the design is very in keeping with the nature of the inn.

Thank you to the outstanding staff at the Old Ram. My brother took a turn and the staff could not have been kinder or more caring and really went the extra miles to make sure he got the best help and attention, cant thank you enough for your support and consideration. All was done with great grace and charm, and welcome humour. Big thank you to you all, everyone was delightful and I am sorry I dont know your names except Michelle's (I think) who was such fun and livened up our stay with her quick wit, while making sure we were well looked after.

Initially chose for nearest location for our trip. We found the Inn a lovely surprise with very friendly and helpful staff and very well appointed and comfortable rooms. Dinner both nights were excellent and service prompt and friendly.

Although we didn’t mention it, the music in bar/restaurant area a bit loud and hard for my uncle to hear when we were talking. I think the flagstone floors made everything a bit louder.

Beautiful hotel/restaurant/bar with a really interesting and spacious room for a family of 3/4. The service was superb from the moment we booked and they couldn't do more to ensure we had a good stay. The bar and restaurant was homely and the food was good. Breakfast was excellent and the check in and out process was easy.

It is on quite a busy road that is noisey most of the night, our room got hot and we needed to open the windows which didn't help. The food and drinks are quite expensive.

Lovely spaces to sit and take the dog. Comfortable room and room for dogs rate. Doggie treats provided. Excellent food. Breakfast very good although we didn’t see juice and cereal on first morning! They provided us with a takeaway breakfast on se one day as we were leaving early. We will be visiting again as the location is great for a family visit nd it was very comfortable.

All of the food served was of good standard and in the typical pub style, portions were extremely generous and could even have been smaller and still worth the money. A good selection of food and drinks were available complimented by the very pleasant and hard working staff.

Annoying flies at this time of the year but that is a national problem, not the pub!

I love this place. I try and book her every year when I attend Armourfest. The rooms are large, comfortable and enough space for me to work from. Staff are great, breakfast is superb. Amble parking. Great selection of beers.

There isn't anything that i don't like, just a heads up if you are there for a few days, the menu can be a bit repetitive.

Property is stunning. Inside & out. Very vintage and clean. Staff were welcoming, accommodating, polite & friendly. We had dinner in the pub/dining area, food was delicious with large portions. Bar staff were friendly and always going extra lengths if needed.

We stayed on a very hot day, we did have a fan in our room but would have preferred air conditioning.

room was very spacious and clean. booked with breakfast included but also had an option for dinner if i wanted with the bar menu. Plenty of selection to choose from. staff were very helpful and cheerful. Also able to request fresh milk with my tea in the room instead of plastic cartons as there was use of a fridge. Also fresh bottled water daily was put into the fridge.
