We arrived in semi darkness, so missed the sign at the end of the drive. The lane was too narrow to turn around, but our satnav got us there eventually. The barn was very cosy with a huge , very comfortable bed. It was well equipped with kettle, coffee maker, TV and very large bathroom with a walk in shower and huge bath. Chris, our host was lovely, very warm and friendly. She served up a fabulous breakfast, home made granola, fruit, eggs, croissants and toast. It is quite remote, but a great stopping off venue to recharge and refresh.

Nothing really, it was a bit chill to start with, but the radiator soon warmed up.

We just had a quick overnight stay at this wonderful place. What a delight, the location and accommodation were absolutely perfect for us. The bed really comfortable (quality sheets too!) the bath was a dream, we no longer have a bath at home so it was too good an opportunity to pass up. Lashings of hot water, toiletries provided, sheer heaven after a day stood up watching motor racing. There was a shower too if they are your thing. Breakfast was fantastic and the host Christine could not do enough for us, such a lovely friendly person. I can't write this and not mention Ted, we shared an hour maybe with this wonderful old gentleman with his kind eyes, if we could have fit him in our overloaded car we would have!! Thank you for having us.

We didn't like to leave, next time hopefully our stay will be longer!

There were more than enough ingredients (muesli mix/granola) to make a substantial breakfast on their own. That said I was more than happy to be offered virtually a second course (fresh fruit/orange juice/pastries) before making some nice strong coffee in the cafetière.

Having a fridge was essential - so good. But like all fridges from time to time it rumbles. But once you have have stopped using it, it remains mostly quiet in the night. However, if I lived there, I'd put the fridge in the (large) bathroom and then be guaranteed a silent night. Except for the owls!

Bin in bathroom not empty host hard to find nice but little words shy maybe unsure no television was not good had to ask for more sugar not replaced when arrived milk would have been better in bottle left in fridge told there would be nibbles but none received bath very slippery needed mat in bath continental breakfast fine not great though quicker to email than to find host although house next door relaxed stay was ok also kettle was not clean full of limescale

The hosts were outstanding, it really felt like home from home. When traveling my dog finds it difficult to settle but not here! I didn’t recognise her and she felt so at home she didn’t want to leave. Nothing could improve my stay, had everything I needed and felt safe. Treated to wonderful breakfasts and excellent company. I can’t thank you enough and look forward to visiting again.

Nothing I didn’t like

The owner was so friendly and accommodating with great communication after we had a later than planned arrival. Was so easy to be able to just arrive and let ourselves in. We also had some homemade brownies in the room waiting for us when we arrived. The room and surrounding home are beautiful and peaceful. We spent a lovely few hours enjoying the quiet garden listening to the sheep in the next door field one morning. Breakfast was lovingly presented with delicious fresh fruit, bread, jam croissants. We even ate outside as the weather was perfect.

Only that we wish we could have spent more time enjoying the garden! Our visit was for a wedding so we didn’t spend as much time as we would have liked. Maybe next time.

Christine and her family made us feel so welcome at their beautiful property. A delicious, freshly prepared beakfast was delivered to our door every morning and anything we needed was provided. The room is spacious, comfortable, stylish and clean and the bathroom was lovely, with the free standing bath an added bonus! The property is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is nice and quiet for a peaceful night's sleep, on a clear night the stars are incredible! A lovely dog friendly pub serving delicious food is just a 5 minute drive away. Christine was even kind enough to help in sourcing local doggy day care arrangements. Car parking was available right oustide the room. I would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending to friends and family.

Everything. The location was lovely and peaceful after a noisy day racing. The rooms are huge with everything you could think of. Lovely comfortable big bed, a sofa and table and chairs. Plus you can sit outside and listen to the wildlife or just chill with a drink. Great safe parking. Bathroom eas as big as my kitchen at home. Huge victorian bath l, sink and good size shower. I love the old world places with features to match and bluebell barn did not disappoint. Even though our host was away she left us in very capable hands and messaged us to make sure we knew where to go etc.

Really hard to find anything to say we did not like as all was perfect. If i was going to be very very very picky, it woul have been nice to have a small bin to put rubbish in.

We had a fabulous stay at the lovely Bluebell Barn .The accommodation is very spacious and has a bathroom with a beautiful roll top bath and separate shower . We were very Warm and cosy with a very large bed . The accommodation is set in lovely peaceful surroundings .The host is very friendly and very welcoming.

It was a lovely gesture to have a delicious chocolate treat on arrival, with a plentiful jug of fresh milk in the fridge; where there were also some yoghurts and a selection of jams ready for the morning breakfast. Two sizes of cafetier ready to brew up the complimentary ground coffee. The breakfast delivered on a tray was freshly baked croissants, toast; a bowl of raspberries, strawberries and mango with the plain Greek yoghurt, bananas and orange juice. The location was isolated, and very secure, which is what we need when travelling.

There was nothing we didn't like, as it fit the bill perfectly for our needs. We can understand that not having a television would bother some people, but it didn't bother us. Most people have a lap top or mobile phone which connected to the wifi would be able to keep them occupied.
