As we stated during a very hot period , whilst a fan was supplied for the room , air con would have been great . For some reason the lights did not work in our bathroom and as no staff readily available after 9pm , it was tricky to deal with but we managed Finally, it would be lovely to be able to have lounge and bar facilities to access when returning to the hotel after our evening meal and theatre trip

Beautiful building and perfect location for town and shops/restaurants, enjoyed the information on the history of the house. Easy check in, able to leave bags with reception as we arrived before check in time and they also kept them after check out as we left later in the day. Staff super friendly and always willing to help and check we were OK. Straight forward process with fob/door access. Cases placed in room ready for us when we got back and we were shown where to go by reception staff. Clean well presented room, plenty of toiletries/tea/coffee. Nice balcony, but a bit bland overlooking a flat roof to carpark... maybe add some plants or spruce it up somehow, but for 1 day/night stay not a big deal. Weather was lovely and we still sat out with a cuppa in the morning. Food and drinks great, generous portions and again staff lovely, attentive and professional at all times.

Small in-room fridge was not working/cooling, complimentary milk and water were soon at room temp, however we did not need the milk so this did not impact us and we notified reception so they could rectify. Coffee machine pods were placed in a glass container, nice presentation, however it wasn't easy to get them out of it and no explanation as to what the difference between pods was, but again minor item that did not impact our stay really and Google helped identify the coffee!!

Breakfast was good. Everything about the decoration was perfect. No marks on the walls or broken moulding. All cleanly presented.we were also allowed with no problem, to have the groom, best man, photographer and makeup artist in our room prior to the wedding at 4 pm. Even though the wedding was at the church opposite and not at the Assembly House.

Our shower was broken. When we arrived we were told that over head shower did not work but handheld did. However, none of it worked. We were given discount on our early booking fee. This was disappointing however because we had come for my sons wedding.

Room 15; I came for 2 night for workshop at the university,very clean and tidy, went above and beyond my expectations! Well decorated, cozy room, very clean and spacious bathroom, although room was warm enough there was a heater available as well, hot chocolate and cookies was a warm gesture! housekeeping excellent, well located hotel few steps from bus station, multiple grocery shops around the corner and cross street to the center were star bucks and pret cafes there primark shop and Macdonald. Definitely will recommend it to anyone visiting Norwich.

Nothing! Except for the staircase was bit narrow and difficult to left ur luggage through my room was at second floor!, I recommend elderly or someone with knee problem to make sure there room in lower floors.

Hotel is very centrally located and the surface-level car park can be conveniently reached through the back door. We fancied the idea of accessing our room through a separate entrance on the side of the hotel. Our room was quite modest in size but it didn't bother us for a one-night stay, and the balcony with chairs was appreciated to dry some clothes. A very good breakfast. Overall a highly pleasnat experience.

Bath robes were not in the room upon arrival, though announced, but provided upon request, so we were delighted in the end

I liked the decor and furniture in the room, mattress was super comfy, the bathroom facilities and toiletries provided, small touches - Christmas tree decorated in the room, Good quality extras on the tea tray, beautiful building, great central location, staff were very helpful and friendly.

Pillows on the bed were poor quality with no neck support, there was no bar in the main building, very low ceilings and doorways in the room which were a problem for my husband who is over 6 foot, steep staircase up to the room (10) with low ceilings again which should be mentioned on room specifications, car park very small and not exclusive to the hotel.

Beautiful historic building, interiors are sumptuous with luscious furnishings. Exceptionally comfy beds (not too hard). The location cannot be beaten. Breakfast was delicious, hot options are served, which is a real plus these days. Really friendly and welcoming staff. You won’t find anywhere better to stay in Norwich !

Everything! But it is SOOO comfortable - Really appreciate the interior design and the cleaver use of colours beautiful fabrics. Oh and a shout out to all the lovely staff who are so welcoming.

Room was spacious, comfortable bed, well equipped and bathroom was very clean with plenty of towels and toiletries.The hotel is excellently situated for access to the whole city with free parking behind. Excellent plentiful choices for breakfast.

Arriving late afternoon on Sunday meant too late for afternoon tea and the hotel does not offer food any evening. Fortunately there were some good quality restaurants who were open Sunday evenings. No problem on other weekdays, Norwich has innumerable tea rooms, cafes and restaurants offering different cuisines at varying levels of price and quality.

The building is stunning. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. There was a wedding party at the hotel and this caused delays in service to us. Unfortunate but weddings are planned well in advance and extra staff should have been hired so the other dining residents weren’t left waiting….

The mattress was extremely soft. It really needs replacing, when either of us moved the other moved too. I complained and asked for a move but no other rooms were available. Fair enough though the sofa bed was made up so we could get a better nights sleep. We were in room 10 and is up several flights of stairs.

Fabulous small hotel in the centre of Norwich very close to the BBC and theatre. One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in with staff who are clearly proud of what they do and go the extra mile to be warm and friendly and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, food lovely, location 10/10. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back!
