Friendliness of staff and management, attended to issues immediately and resolved any problems, very ideal location to the station and to get to the city centre, water pressure of shower was fantastic, great choice of breakfast cereals and teas and coffees, complementary shared fridge for residents, very welcoming reception area, hotel was quiet at night
Ensuite just large enough for one person, mattress was too soft for my taste, plenty of storage space for clothes but could have done with some shelves, could have offered a small selection of pastries and sliced vegetables for breakfast

The hotel is 2 minutes walk off the train station, and, if you walk off the main road, there are some beautiful views nearby (a country park and lovely cottages) and it felt tranquil considering it is next to the station. The place was very quiet, the other guests were not noticeable at all. There was a wonderfully large window with a rooftop view and we watched the storm and listened to birds in the garden! My child appreciated the space/galaxy themed bathroom which we were lucky to get by accident. Everything was sparkly clean but also cosy at the same time and furnished with real furniture (not ikea props). The room felt like a spacious apartment. The staff were welcoming and even helped me out with lending me a phone charger I had forgotten. We could come and go as we pleased and felt private and safe.
The internet connection was so slow it was not useable, not even for a simple email check. Devices (including the provided TV) connect to it but the signal was so slow nothing ever got loaded. It got even more non-existent during evening peak times when most guests had returned from their walks and tried to use it all at the same time. So prepare to back up your photos in some other ways, not via wi-fi. But that's not an issue if you come prepared for it.

The Marlborough Hotel is in a great central spot, perfect for walking into Norwich and, with a car, even making trips to the coast. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had excellent pressure and temperature, making for a relaxing stay.
Parking is limited to just four spaces, which wasn’t an issue for us but is worth keeping in mind. The only other minor issue was a very slow-draining shower, which caused alot pooling water. For a short stay, it wasn’t a big problem, and reception assured me they’d have it fixed right away.

Really clean, the rooms were kept in a really nice condition and the service was amazing. I liked the eco friendly approach they have on towels and bedsheets, avoiding to wash them every day. So we would keep our towels for the whole stay unless they needed to be changed. We only stayed for 3 nights so it was unnecessary to wash the towels every single day. But if you prefer so, then that’s also possible. Toilets always warm and cozy! Amazing staff. A lovely man greeted us everyday and gave us valuable information about places to visit and to go to eat. He even gave us the menu and business cards of 2 really nice restaurants.

Our stay was perfect. It was a quick visit for our family to visit our son who was studying in Norwich. We were able to easily walk from the train station to the hotel. The nearby bus took us into downtown Norwich. We did not have breakfast here so I can't comment. They allowed us to store our luggage since our train timing did not match with the check out, and the room was ready early for us when we arrived. Great stay!
The bathroom in our room was small for 4 people but there was an additional bathroom in the hallway as well as on the lobby floor we could use.

Quick to reach from the train station yet it was still quiet and there were no noises heard from the station. Easily walkable to the main centre. The room was very comfortable and very clean, continental breakfast had lots of options and was a great way to start the day. Communication prior to my stay was excellent and organising late check in was very easy to do.
The pillow was very lumpy however I'm sure if I had let the staff know they would have switched it for me. I just arrived late in the day and wanted to head straight to sleep so didn't reach out.

Tha Marlborough Hotel was simple & well maintained private hotel with friendly staff & a lovely owner who greeted us on arrival. The room was a decent size, we had a failybroom & a nice endure with walk in shower. Everything was simp,y furnished & the double bed was firm to sleep. We usec ths kettle with rea & coffee, but if suited our stay over the weekend. Near the city centre, plenty of pubs & restaurants nearby or in walking distance. Check with parking if you drive, because theresvpermutbparking & public parking opposite t5om 6pm -10am exc4pt Sunday.but it's about a couple hundred meters from the rail station so it's easy to get too. Overall, a simply furnished hotel with friendly staff with clean & simple amenities.
It was all good apart from a loose toilet roll holder.

The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and kind, as well as understanding to my needs. The room and shared bathroom is always kept clean.
The only negative I would say is that if you buy any drinks like water or coke if you leave it out on your table in your room, when you come back then the likely hood it will still be there is zero. So my advice is if you have bought any food or drink to be on the safe side keep it in your bags / suitcase.

The Hotel looked as great as it was advertised. There's a little short cut to get to the hotel from the train station, which we found out later! 😅 We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room is so spacious and clean. Though the mattress felt a tad too soft for oldies like us but it was still comfortable. Housekeeping was great too, they made sure we had everything we need. There's also a nice little cafe just down the road called HOME CAFE which served good food. (Get out of the hotel, turn right. Walk towards the end of road, u will see the cafe.) Walking to the city is about 20mins but its a good walk. You can also walk to the riverside which is nearer. There are some eateries there. There's also Boots and some shops for shopping. We hope u enjoyed the stay like we did.
None at all.

Great location, close to city centre. Easy check in and check out, nice clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fan was supplied in room which was very much appreciated on a hot night! Beds nice and comfy, good facilities. Would definately stay again.
Very limited parking on site, parkng on the road but some restrictions apply so check carefully. A nice selection for breakfast but some of the yoghurts were out of date and no croissants/pastries etc which we were hoping there might be!
