Once again we have returned to Sugarbeet- it’s the amazing food, lovely room and exceptionally friendly staff which keep bringing us back. The last four times we’ve had time off work we’ve stayed here overnight- they’re definitely doing something right.
Our only criticism would be the fan/AC unit and towel rail. We stayed in room two and the towel rail doesn’t have a way of turning it off so belted out heat all night and the room is generally very hot (this isn’t a complaint!) but we wanted to cool it down a little. The AC unit would not work initially so I had to Google instructions on how to use it and re set the timer on it. Just minor criticism.

Friendly staff. Breakfast included was amazing! Dinner was also great. We always ate outside as was best for our 8month old, there is a great garden! Location for our needs was great. It is quite close to the main road but we thought windows did a great job at shutting that out when closed. Luckily decent aircon meant you could happily sleep with the windows shut. We had a cot (provided by them) which was excellent and still plenty of space for us to manoeuvre around the room. Fridge in the room was very useful especially for storing our daughter’s food (joys of weaning). Plenty of parking and easy access to rooms. So nice to stay in a room with decent lighting for getting ready for a wedding. So many hotels have awful lighting!
Very small points. shower pressure was quite low. Fine for a standard shower but I wouldn’t have wanted to wash my hair as wouldn’t have been enough pressure. Breakfast starts at 9am which for us was quite late but we made use of the garden and fed our daughter outside first while we waited for the kitchen to open. I believe if we needed an early breakfast we could have asked for a takeaway in advance. We would have ideally liked a bath for our daughter, but we knew it was going to be a shower at the point of booking.

We liked the whole experience the staff were exceptional We had a meal on our first day the meals were tasty good variety decent size portions. The rooms were clean bright air con was a blessing loved the fridge and the fresh milk for tea and coffee also a bottle of ice cold water. We enjoyed chilling in the grounds. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant we have stayed in many places in norwich my wifecis very picky with her food but even she cleared her plate the sausage was very tasty back bacon rather than streaky always a hit the fact you get 2 drinks with breakfast is a good idea as you can have a hot and cold drink. My son had eggs bendict they were cooked to perfection the next morning he had scrambled egg he said perfect not to dry not to wet staff were exceptionally helpful very polite I will be staying here again that's a definite felt so welcome loved the named rooms

We enjoyed everything about our stay at The Sugarbeet- this is the second time we’ve booked here and yet again it didn’t disappoint. Every member of staff we spoke to was absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble, the room we stayed in was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning unit in the room was an added bonus and much appreciated. The thing that stands out at this establishment though is the food- I can’t rate the quality of the food we ate hear high enough, both for the evening meal and the breakfast.
The only very minor criticism I could find would be the shower- it was very awkward to use and to try and find the perfect temperature. As I said, only a minor criticism though!

The hotel is easy to access as it is on a main road. The staff were amazing and very helpful, with Kieran being of key note. He was always there to lend a hand to my wife and I as we were travelling for the first time with our newborn; he was always willing to provide any help he could and made adjustments for my wife as she needed to leave earlier than when breakfast was to be given. The rooms are lovely and spacious with a nice open bathroom. The breakfast was also lovely with the restaurant having a massive variety of choices throughout the day. There are also bus stops directly outside the property so there is no issue with access to public transport; however I will stress that the property is on a main road, with NO pedestrian crossings near by, so crossing the road can be fairly risky.
My only issue with the property would be that, it is on a main road; as such, using the buses can be a bit risky. During my stay, I wasn't comfortable crossing the road with my baby in the pram as there were no pedestrian crossing nearby.

The room was clean and perfect for what we needed. Good large comfy bed/bedding with nice big pillows. We paid £90 which included breakfast which is amazing value for money. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We would certainly stay here again and will be recommending to family and friends. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
This isn't a moan as it honestly didn't bother us, but our room was front facing next to a busy main road so traffic noise was quite loud even late at night. It was warm so we did have windows open so this is obviously why it was louder. This is just a polite heads up for those wanting to get a more quiter night's sleep as i know how much traffic noise can be a big no no for some people. Again, we cannot fault our stay.

Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice. Evening - dinner was great too. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were fluffy and fresh. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was a good size, beautifully decorated, with a lovely view of the countryside.
The room was missing a wardrobe but there was a hanging thing on the wall which I only discovered at the end of my stay. As I was travelling alone, and only there for 5 days, I didn't have many clothes which I hung up on hangers on the back of the door. if I had been travelling with my husband we would have struggled a bit with where to hang our clothes. (I travel light, he doesn't!) However, there was a spacious chest of drawers, which I could have used. There was an annoying drip drip drip on the outside, from above, which was frequently hitting the window frame. I showed this to the lovely lady, (sorry I forgot your name) not necessarily because it was a bit annoying, but because, in time, it will destroy the window frame and bring dampness into the room.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were delightful, helpful, polite and efficient, even during really busy times. The food was delicious, excellent varied menu, all you could wish for. Very nice having a little fridge in the room. Location good. Attractive building. Good size car park.
Felt the bathroom lacked a little table to put toiletries on despite a little shelf over the wash basin. Could do with more towel rails. Suggested slight re-organisation of certain pieces of furniture. Mentioned all these ideas to the Manager and he said that he was happy with my suggestions. I was definitely not complaining, just a suggestion for future guests to enjoy. Duvets too heavy for this time of the year, but that is an individual preference.
